Great location and very modern, clean, quite rooms. Only downsides were bed was not too comfortable and room was very hot. There was a note not to adjust a/c and leave it at 20 degrees, but it felt a lot hotter in room.

This hotel is well located with Las Rambla, parks, the beach cathedral all within a relatively short walking distance. Public transport is very accessible with a metro stop less than a minutes walk away and the areo bus 10-15mins north. Our room was basic but clean, with an ensuite that served its purpose without complaint. We were positioned on the... More

The staff in these apartments are nothing but rude. I was asked by lady if I was crazy because we were trying to complain. Previous night out phone in room kept ringing at 6am. So me and my friend went down to complain. To be told we were lying. Rooms are basic but it was cheap so understandable. If you... More

I was in Barcelona for a weekend and got a great day on this hotel! Literally under $60 a night which is a miracle in Europe! It's about 15 mins from the city center but well worth the drive. The hotel is situated on top of a mountain overlooking the city and the beach. Upon checking in the staff wasn't... More

Considering this hotel was 1* our expectations were rather low. However it was definitely not as bad as I had been expecting. Staying in a 3 bed room, it was quite small, with only the beds, side table and small desk in the room, and an ensuite bathroom. The bathroom had a good shower and bath, however with no plug.... We had four stars hotel last time in Barcelona and it really was not four stars in my opinion. Thats why we booked now one star place. We did not expect nothing. It was positive suprise. There was everything what you need if you just are looking place to sleep. Of course nothing was really good, but it was fine... More

Can't really fault this hotel, fabulous location, clean tidy rooms, and good value for money. We had a room with a little balcony which was lovely for a view into the streets. Only negative was the noise from the streets however anywhere in the city you would probably get this, didn't hinder sleep though.

With 1* Rey don Jamie is never going to amaze but the hotel is clean and comfortable and in a great location to explore the city. I am not sure I was totally convinced by the security of the rooms but there were no problems when we stayed. The entrance is security controlled giving the hotel a but of extra... More

Was a bit expensive for the quality. Paid 90 euros for one night even tho all the websites said it was 60 euros, hence why we booked it. Quite a surprise when they handed us the receipt for 90 some euros and asked to sign. The rooms were OK. Had potential but they didn't seem to know what to do... More

Me & my friend stayed here for 2 nights whilst sightseeing in Barcelona. The room is a great size, with a balcony which we loved, and easy to get to main attractions from this central hotel. Clean room, friendly staff, would recommend for a short stay to anyone.

Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
