Even in off season the price for a single room is 20euros per day. No elevator. Had to take the suitcase in to the second floor without elevator. Rooms were so silent. But interiors need rennovation. All of them are in Black in color with a foul smell.

I was in this hostel in July 2012 for 2 nights. The hostel condition was average. We got room with bunk bed. The hostel does not want to accept credit cards. They say the machine is not working, however they disconnected it from Internet and they say they do not know what's happened lol. So be prepared to pay cash....

There was no air conditioning, so we had to leave the windows open during the night. But the hostal is located on La Rambla: so a lot of noise! The beds feel, look and sound like they will fall apart any time. So €20 is quite expensive for a 8-persons-room, I have had cheaper & better in Barcelona.

This is a hostel. It is priced like a hotel. We paid 55 euros for a two person room here. If you are going to pay this, walk up the street to Hotel Monegal and ask for an attico room. They have much nicer rooms, with a shared bath (same as here) for the same price...we found this out the...

What convinced me to stay here and pay 45-50 euro a night (for a double) instead of saving 5-10 euro on a cheaper accomodation was the atmosphere that instantly hit you when you walked through the door. There was some latin-reggae playing on the stereo, a bird sitting in the corner saying all kinds of silly words, and the friendliest...

We have been here several times. When we start traveling to Barcelona, we tried some others places until we finally got Hostal Parisien and now every time we think to travel Barcelona we know where we can stay and feel very welcoming, confortable, safe and happy. It´s a nice and simple place, very clean, close to everywhere, with an excellent...

Staying in La Rambla

Neighborhood Profile
La Rambla
Barcelona's most famous street was once a dry riverbed. Now, La Rambla is a 1200-meter boulevard, and a major draw for visitors. During the day, La Rambla fills with pedestrians, some of which stroll past impressive human statues and artists while others take a break to people-watch while enjoying a drink at one of the many terraces. Housed here is the iconic Boqueria Market that offers one of the most varied and appetizing selections of local produce and specialty meats and treats. While it’s important for tourists to keep an eye on their belongings at all times, this area is most safely explored in the daytime and is a must see for everyone who visits.
