Stayed here for two nights with my husband. It was a last minute choice after checking out of a hotel earlier due to staying at a beach location off peak and realizing there was nothing to do out there and wanted to be closers to the scene in Barcelona. It is overpriced for basically what I would call a crashpad.... More

Extremely basic? I respect your comment and your appreciation; But as a personal appreciation of my own, being a traveler all over the world from an early age, and seeing what is offered in general and at what prices, your comment is entirely incorrect. Remember that the CIUDAD CONDAL is located in the most luxurious area of the city, and... More

Lovely place to stay. The rooms are quite small but it's clean and very friendly. It's honest and safe. We had one of the balcony rooms and it was very nice indeed. I'd stay here again with no hesitation.

We had a three person room for our 3-day stay in Barcelona. Located in the Eixample area of Barcelona, very upscale, historic buildings around the corner from the Ramblas and the Block of Discord - central location was perfect for everything (bus, metro, walking)! The room was, of course, small but it was clean and secure, had a TV and... More

I spent three days at the hostel. Service is friendly and the rooms are clean though VERY small. The hostel is perfecly located and within walking distance of many major sights such as La Rambla, The Barcelona Cathedral and Museu Picasso. You have a few bars/cafés just downstairs where you can have your morning coffee and a baguette or freshly... More

If you only require a bed and a shower then this is the place for you. No glasses for drinking, no facility for making coffee or tea, food suppliers next door which were quite adequate. The position of the hotel is ideal as it is central to all means of transport, eating choices and places of interest. The language situation... More

Dear guest, we are a small business, located in the most expensive area of Barcelona. Of course we are a modest place, but very nice and confortable... Of course we are not a 4 or 5 star hotel with all services and amenities, but at the same time, we have not the same price. In this area, you are mainly... More

The service was very good. The room was very nice and very clean with a nice view at the back garden. The hostel is located near the nice Gracia Street near Casa Battlo and La Predera. We could leave our luggage at the reception the day we returned home.

My wife and I stayed for four nights at the Hostal Ciudad Condal and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had a superior double which had a terrace looking out onto the street. The room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. There was some noise from the street when the window was open, but once we closed it, it... More

The best wrong turn I have ever made. Didn't manage to get. Seat at the little bar which was a shame as the food looked amazing so we had a table in the back. I don't speak Spanish and was slightly confused by the menu but managed to order a couple of baguette's. A simple steak one and a bacon... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
