This was my third sty at Girona but my first in a double room with balcony and private bathroom. The room overlooked the street, noisy yes but it's in the centre of Barcelona so you have to expect noise, and I always travel with ear plugs anyway. There was a king size bed which was very comfortable, wardrobe, desk etc....

The Hostal was very well situated and within walking distance of all the main attractions. The room is spacious but did not have a bathroom. It does have a shower which is so small we did not use it, so we used the communal bathroom which is situated next to the room. This caused some noise. The bathroom was always...

Hostal Corona is in a fairly central position and handy for La Rambla , Gothic quarter etc. The room was basic but was sufficient for the two nights we stayed. The bed was made daily and the shower had plenty of hot water with good pressure. The way the rooms have been divided means the walls are thin and you...

First time in a Hostal, but have to say it was as good as a hotel. Had an en suite room with a balcony, free safe and air con. Free internet and coffee was a bonus. The building the Hostal is in is beautiful and the manager was really helpful and friendly.

Traveled to Barcelona in mid October, 2016 and stayed here. My travel companion found it on a travel site. The hostel - what I would call a small hotel- is upstairs in a lovely old building. The location is ideal- about two blocks from a subway stop in two directions and walking distance from the Plaça de Catalunya. Most of...

Since the rooms are so reasonably priced, my friend and I booked seperate rooms after having shared on a cruise for the previous two weeks. My room, with toilet down the hall, was much larger than hers. Having sink and shower in the room was convenient. Take a taxi to get there as it would be hard to find otherwise....

Well, a private room with your own little balcony in the heart of Barcelona for less than £100 a night? Unheard of! I've read lots of reviews on here about this property and people complaining about certain things...well, listen! Yes, it's not technically a hotel as the name says, but for what you're paying in an expensive city such as...

Hostal Girona was affordable and the rooms we had were beautiful. Our kids had their own room attached to my husband's and my room. Each room had their own in-room shower (but no toilet) and there were shared toilets and a shared shower down the hall as well. We never had to wait for toilets or showers. The only frustrating...

I love staying at Hostal Girona for many reasons. The location is perfect for both an overnight stay if you're catching a flight and need a place to stay, but would also like to enjoy the city for some sightseeing while you're there. Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
