Location is spot on for a short break! Some reports I read suggest that the lower end of La Ramblas is a bit more "seedy". Didn't find this to be the case at all! Here as mum with teen daughter and felt totally safe. Ideal location so close to everything and easy to pop in and out during the day....

We have just returned from a short break at The Cuatro Naciones, this lovely authentic hotel is in an excellent position on La Rambla. I asked for a room with a balcony, looking onto La Rambla, great for people watching, yes it could be a bit noisy with the balcony door open (we actually love to hear all the hustle...

It is located right on Las Ramblas almost across the fuel Palace , the Tablao Cordovez and about 2 blocks from the Port, which is great considering walking hauling suitcases.las Ramblas is where everything is at. The hotel is in a great location, La Rambla, so definitely in the middle of everything. The area is a bit noisy for me as I am a light sleeper, but it is convenient to everything, plenty of restaurants and bars around. The breakfast is continental, but plenty of it. Rooms are very clean and comfortable and the staff are...

Spanish tiles, wide staircase, a salon for meeting friends for bring-your-own-drinks, and a free European style breakfast are all benefits of this hotel right on La Rambla! Front desk personnel were extremely helpful with metro directions and suggestions. The elevator is small but gets the job done if you've got large luggage. Yes, it gets loud outside at night. You...

The hotel is in a great location, the rooms are basic and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast is a typical continental type but sets you up for the day ahead. I would stay here again for a long weekend.

We were there for a few days and it was great! The hotel is situated just a few minutes from placa real, you just walk out the door and there you have las ramblas. The hotel staff was very nice and friendly, the room clean and nice too, the beds were a bit hard to sleep on but you got...

The hotel is situated in a great location for getting around the city, with access to buses, taxi's and the metro, although we walked from the hotel mostly. The hotel is dated and in need of an upgrade, though our room and the hotel was more than adequate for our needs. The staff are always helpful and friendly with any...

Yes, the location on Las Ramblas is great, and it is right around the corner from a wonderful plaza with lots of good outdoor restaurants. But this hotel was truly horrible! The rooms were very bare - linoleum floors, sickly pink walls, a battered desk and small wardrobe. The bathroom door wouldn't even open properly because it banged into the...

You get what you pay for. A very competitive price compared to location and facilities. Was given a room intended for a wheelchair, so it was extra spacious. Very minimalistic decor. One chair only by the desk was the only place to sit except from the bed. The bed was not comfortable as we could feel the springs. We might...

Staying in La Rambla

Neighborhood Profile
La Rambla
Barcelona's most famous street was once a dry riverbed. Now, La Rambla is a 1200-meter boulevard, and a major draw for visitors. During the day, La Rambla fills with pedestrians, some of which stroll past impressive human statues and artists while others take a break to people-watch while enjoying a drink at one of the many terraces. Housed here is the iconic Boqueria Market that offers one of the most varied and appetizing selections of local produce and specialty meats and treats. While it’s important for tourists to keep an eye on their belongings at all times, this area is most safely explored in the daytime and is a must see for everyone who visits.
