We stayed at the Gaudi Hotel in February and it was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the showers had good pressure and were hot, the rooms spacious and comfy, and there was free wifi. There is no free breakfast, but the restaurant has a small restaurant. The staff recommended a cheap but yummy place a few doors...

I booked this hotel solely on other Tripadvisor reviews and I am so glad I did. Location was perfect! Metro - around the corner, water front was walkable. Las Ramblas has everything. We ended up walking to every location instead of the train...even La Sagrada. The rooftop views were beautiful - bring some money, they have a vending machine up...

I booked in August 2016 for a four day bed and breakfast break here in mid-January for my husband's birthday - we last stayed here nearly 20 years ago! So we knew how central the location is and, once again, had a view from our room of the Palau Guell opposite. The room was not huge, but clean and comfortable...

This hotel is brilliantly located for a city break. Situated right next to Las Ramblas it's a great starting point for all site seeing. Metro stations are also nearby for further exploring. Our room was small, but clean and comfy. We would definitely stay here again on further visits! Recommended!

Really central location, only 2 minute walk from the metro. Rooms are basic but being enough. Breakfast was included in our rate and they really looked after one of us who is ceoliac. The price was very good. Bar is quiet but the cocktails were really good!!

This is the second time we have visited this hotel in 3 months. The location is excellent being only a minute walk to La Rambla but also quiet at night. Right opposite Palau Guell; some of the rooms look directly onto its Gaudi designed roof top. Short walk to the Gothic Quarter which is the best part of Barcelona and...

The location is right off La Rambla and crowded but so easy to step out and enjoy the famous scene. The Museum across the street from the front door was AMAZING! Breakfast was good and we enjoyed everything.

The front desk staff were all very welcoming, friendly and helpful with questions. Lucy, Frederico and Jesus helped with checking in, where to go and how to get there. The room was small but very cozy, clean, bed very comfortable. I had a street-facing faux-balcony looking across at Palau Guell. I loved going to the roof-top to overlook the entire...

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
