Rooms are too small - only space for one chair/stool in a double room so you take turns to sit! Showers are miniscule - no tv remote, no hairdryer, only get toiletries on the first day if you stay more than one night - so bring your own 'everything' and you'll be fine. Breakfast is poor (no toaster/only one juice/... More

When we travel, we are out and about, not holed up in a hotel luxuriating in plush digs--which is why we concluded that we might like el Jardí. On the cusp of both Las Ramblas and Barri Gòtic, nestled between two pretty plazas and alongside an ancient basilica (Santa Maria del Pi, with roots in the 5th-10th centuries), this hotel... More

Ok I don't want to big this place up, as it's a real find and as I'm GOING to use it again I don't want you lot to fill it up so I can't book it or you push the price up. Real central and although basic it's a real find. The only reason not five stars no internal bar... More

It was a no-frills room, but dang - that was one small room. The shower still makes me shudder with claustrophobia, but it was surprisingly good in its primary function! The location is excellent and they do keep the place clean, but it is a bit budget/basic.

Some people may not love this hotel as much as i do because it really is pretty basic but I will share why i like it so much. The area is amazing. The alleyways, church and markets right in the square. The price can not be beat for the area. Three doors down is another hotel, you would pay 1... More

We had a great stay in this little hotel..! Yes there were stairs up to reception (which weren’t a problem for us), yes the lift was comically tiny (but we only had rucksacks) and yes the room was basic, but it had everything we needed. We opted to book a larger style after reading previous reviews and it was really... More

This is a no frills hotel. The ac was cold, there was plenty of hot water, and the room was clean. The walls are thin so you can hear your neighbors. Our room had a view of the square and church and was clean. It's in a fantastic location though. We would stay again.

Was the room so tiny the bed hit the door? Yes. Was the shower so tiny I couldn't wash my feet unless I opened the door? Yes. Did I stroll out of my room in the center of the the beautiful Gothic District of Barcelona? Yes! My friend and I actually arrived a little late and went straight to a... More

We stayed here for 6 nights. Location is the main reason to stay at this hotel. It is in the middle of many restaurants and shops. It is easy to walk to many interesting sites and museums. It is easy to walk to a nearby metro station. The hotel is plain and clean. The room was very small. We were... More

It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences.
