This was a great location. I was visiting family and it was close to where they live, close to many public transit options, and close to sites. At the same time, it was thankfully a bit away from the touristy areas. The area, like most...More
Reasonably clean hotel, room-make ups OK but obviously didn't do much sweeping. Our room 216 was nice and quiet as requested but the only windows opened onto a service shaft so not much ventilation. Breakfasts were typically continental and lacked much choice if fruit. Otherwise...More

This is a beautiful place to visit. We couldn't believe it was a working hospital until nine years ago. would definatly recommend a visit. Beautiful architecture and amazing gardens. The Barcelona tour bus stops opposite the entrance.

Hotel Reception Staff were very familiar with the route to the Airport and happy to help and advise. I seem to remember we got the L5 train from San Pau Dos de Maig, nearer than Sagrada Familia, then changed to L2 at Collblanc.
Metro T10 ticket worked on RENFE Trains, buses and metro in most of the city but we needed to buy a separate ticket for a few Euros at the actual Airport station to get through the barrier. There were machines for this and it was straight forward. Trains clean and fast.
T10 ticket is valid for 10 Zone 1 rides, and can be used for more than one person on the Metro and Bus.
