Old world charm with newly updated balconies a little hard to find for taxi drivers and those of us walking by, but glad we did. It is noisy here, so if you want quiet and restful find a place where the hallways don’t echo so much

This was our least favorite place we stayed on our month long Spain and Italy trip. The room itself wasn’t that bad other then the terrible shower head that sprayed in all directions and wouldn’t stay on its holder, it really was the service. We had no electricity in one of our rooms when we got there- it was on at first then it wasn’t. Nothing to do with the key card. When we told the front desk she was very rude about it and asked what we expected her to do. Well, we hoped we would have lights. She didn’t help us just told us to go and fix it in the breaker box ourselves. We did. The whole breakfast thing was very confusing as well. We were told there was breakfast offered but when we went downstairs it was open but a sign saying it was opened for a private party only. No one was around to ask anything, so we never actually ate at the hotel just went nextdoor to a cafe each day which was fabulous!

Delightful traditional European-style hotel in excellent, walk to most attractions location. Clean, comfortable, basic rooms, with modern baths and friendly, efficient service. If you want (and are prepared to pay for) the luxury amenities and homogenized character of a chain hotel the Nouvel is not for you. If you appreciate the charm of a traditional European hotel and an excellent value in pricey Barcelona the Nouvel is a sure bet.

Where in the World do you pay over $275.00 per night and the hotel gives you previously used shower gel?? No where else but The Hotel Nouvel. This place is a dive. The room looks like a hourly motel …The area is seedy looking; it should reclassify it self as a hostile!!! It has radiators!!! The hallways are very dark, dreary and the same with the rooms!!! Wash cloths?? Face cloths?? None to be had!!! Disappointed in Barcelona!! Hoodwink!!! Scroll on by this one for sure!!!

A little old world hotel with the ancient world and the Ramblas at your doorstep. Normal room with balcony and pleasant staff. The real key is Location, the place is at the heart of Barcelona places to visit. Yes, breakfast can be ordered or walk ten paces for fresh croissants and coffee. Turn right, direct to the 'Kissing Wall' and cathedral. Left to Ramble the Ramblas. Another right, Placa Catalunya!

Perfect for our needs. Located centre of Barcelona, just off Las Ramblas and near Metro stop at Catalunya. Staff are very friendly and knowledgable and always willing to help. Rooms are adequate and clean. Breakfast menu is offered and we chose the continental option. Very nice.

Nice hotel in a great location, just off Las ramblas, a short walk to two metro stations and also close to the gothic centre. Friendly and helpful staff, rooms comfortable but basic enough, but you can't beat the location and value for money.

This was a 3 full day trips with my daughter, we took a private transfer to our Hotel and check in was quick and friendly, our room was very small and had a window but when we opened it it was just a court yard with no natural light but we didn’t spend much time in the room, it was clean and there was tea, coffee and snack machines available, we walked everywhere to all the attractions, we ate on the rambles and on the little back street, the square is lovely and there is a roof top bar where we had cocktails, the weather was red hot for late September the beach was very nice which I didn’t expect, it’s a very busy place but we loved just sitting with a glass of wine after our long days walking watching the world go by, it was all and more that we expect definitely going back.

We had a very pleasant time at the hotel. The room was of a good size and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom too was very nice - we did have a problem with the plug in the sink but after reporting this it had been sorted out on our return to the room. The walls were very thin as we heard every sound from the room next door. We tried breakfast once and it was ok and reasonably priced for what we got. The staff were helpful. I would definitely stay here again as it was very good value for money and in a great location.

This location was incredible, I had been staying out of the city for a few days so this was great to be so close to everything included major tourist spots, food bars and transportation. The price was also amazing for the area - unbeatable. A few things that could use some work. My room wasn't completely clean, just a few small things. My shower head also faced directly out of the shower and soaked the bathroom floor. I would also recommend going out somewhere else for breakfast, it was fine but I think you could find more for the same price just outside.
