I booked this hotel for 1 night when visiting Barcelona. It was quite cheap so I wasn't expecting much, but it was so wonderful! The room was very spacious, the beds were super comfy, I even had a little balcony. The room and bathroom was very clean and modern, you could tell it had been refurbished recently. I was so...

I really don't know what the hotel was like, but it appeared to be decent for the minute we were there. We made reservations months in advance that we could not cancel. Upon arrival the took our bags and told us to follow them down the road to a Hotel Oasis. It was ok, but not the place we paid...

Fantastic location in Barceloneta, next to station Franca, El Born is just over the main road. Rooms are very good, large enough. Good beds, clean bathroom. Friendly staff. Wifi is good, breakfast wasn't. Location is everything here.

Upon entering the hotel I was happily surprised at its newly updated appearance. The room was fully renovated and up to date. The room was small but more than adequate. The bathroom was quite large with good shower. The Buffet Breakfast needs to be better.. It was just so so, not many choices. But for a Budget property it will...

I am of mixed opinion about this hotel but will still give it 5* because it ticks all the boxes of a 2* hotel and more. Firstly when I got to Barcelona this time I wasn't really in the mood for the city due to being tired and the weather wasn't too good for a couple of days so was...

Took a short break at Hotel Santa Marta in Barcelona. The locacation is excellent for visiting the city and also close to the beach. Large and extremely clean bedroom and bathroom, very helpful and polite front desk staff and very good buffet breakfast. O.K. the view from the balcony is not superb but that's not what I was there for.....

The hotel was in an old restored bilding and nice. The only bad thing was the doors, they were very difficult to open and noisy. The breakfast takes down the points because it was very poor. Not even cheese only some salty sausages. The location can't be better and the staff was ok.

We were really surprised this is a 2 stars hotel, everything was so big in a neighbourhood of small buildings, even the entrance of the hotel felt very premium. Barcelona itself is very walkable as we expected from an European city, and the hotel's location just made it perfect by being in between downtown and the beach. We thought we...

Very nice hotel, with nice clean rooms. Air conditioning is very nice in summer. Much nicer than 2 star. I wouldn't say it's cheap (definitely affordable) but it doesn't feel cheap inside. Close to a lot of nice bars and restaurants (5-20 mins walking). Close to the beach (~10 mins walking). Next to a big train station (Estació de França)....

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighborhood Profile
Barceloneta
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
