Exceeded expectations , had a wonderful room with great view. Location was the best , near las ramblas. Staff was friendly and so helpful with our transportation needs. Can't wait to visit Barcelona again!!!

The locations is terrific. Restaurants around were very good and a block away from a Metro station. Easy walk to The Ramblas and tourist areas. Staff was very friendly, accommodating and helpful. Bed was very comfortable, noise level very low. Internet connection not great.

Although the hotel needs some renovations, it should have at the very least been impeccably clean which it wasn't. I felt as though I was in a two star resort, which I would never stay in. This hotel is a part of the Wyndham chain, which makes it even more disappointing. The street noise was ridiculously loud and constant, you...

Came to this hotel for a 3pm check in and were told to wait 30 mins as our room was getting ready. At 3:30 we inquired and the front desk rudely said "it's from 3pm" meaning we start at 3 but do not guarantee when you will get the room! Shocked!!!Utterly disappointed considering this is a Melia chain. I wonder...

hotel other than reception area is very old fashioned, with old style furniture, bathrooms and décor, to me it was like returning to Spain in the 90's and nothing had changed. If you are prepared to pay in the region of GBP115.00 per night, go elsewhere

First ask for premium rooms since the wifi in the regular rooms is just too slow. (unusable) the rooms were clean and decent though the all night street noise was just too much. It is close to bars/restaurants and maybe that is what you would expect to get from a location like this. Sometimes it felt like the windows were...

We had a great stay at the Apolo. We emailed beforehand to ask for 2 rooms next to each other at rear of hotel and the request was granted. Yes, bathrooms need updating and Paral-lel does look a bit sleazy, but hotel is brilliant. It's the staff that make the experience, from the greeters at the door, reception staff, housekeepers...

It's a very good hotel, very close to 2 subway lines, but in a not very modern part of the city. Customers service is perfect, it's not luxurious but it's on his way to, depends on the room. Even the standards (at least our) are spacious; our friends had a room with no view since they had a wall in...

I stayed in this hotel for a city break. I had no problems with it. Check in was easy as i did it only. All the staff are multi-lingual and to top it off its in a good location to the many sites of BCN. Overall I would stay here again and would recommend it to anybody

Stayed here for 2 nights on a city break, found it very easily on the main road 'Paral-lel'. It is very close to the popular street of 'La Rambla' and the Metro station is just outside too. The beach, the cathedral as well as many other attractions are all within walking distance, but even if you needed to travel, the...

Staying in Montjuic

Neighborhood Profile
Montjuic
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colorful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
