This was our first trip to Spain and this location was fantastic for a first-timer to explore the center of the city and charming gothic quarter. The hotel is also an easy walk to the central plaza where you can get the Aerobus to and...More
This hotel was hard to find, especially for us, because the Madrid police were blocking the alley off the main street and our GPS did not offer other options. The place has slow internet, the shower glass does not reach far enough to prevent water...More
This hotel is a thirty second walk from the cathedral in the gothic quarter. The front desk was so helpful and the room was also clean and cool in the summer which was important. If you are in between hotels, go for this one. You...More
We chose this hotel for its good central location. Regencia Colon is just a few steps to the Barcelona Cathedral and an easy walk to Las Ramblas and Plaza Catalunya where we took the airport bus to go to the airport. There are good shopping...More
Great staff and great location right by the Cathedral. The breakfast was very nice- especially the croissants- plenty of food to choose from and only 6.50 euros. Only issue no shampoo or conditioner provided (got gel only). But we were surprised to be given toothbrushes...More

With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local
musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.

We arrived to Barcelona Airport and took a taxi to the hotel. I found the taxis to be relatively inexpensive and I took them other times around the city. The metro is also great once we got our bearings but you do have a further walk (from the Placa de Catalunya)- we got a 10 trip card but we were there for a week and you can use it on the buses too. One card can be used for multiple people.
