We were going on a Cruise from Barcelona on the 6th January and booked 3 rooms in this hotel just for the 1 night. What a surprise ! Right from the word go talking to them on the phone inquiring about car parking they were so helpful and obliging. Rooms quite basic but very comfortable. Breakfast was varied and very...

We have just arrived at the hotel and have to agree wholeheartedly with other reviewers when they say that this hotel gives a five star service on a bargain price tag! Would recommend staying here with NO reservations.

The hotel is centrally located - about one block away from Plaza Catalunia. The twin rooms are spacious with one or 2 closets, a safe deposit box, a small refrigerator and an electric tea kettle. We had a room with a tiny balcony facing the street, totally insulated from the outside noise. The bed is very comfortable and the room is...

Having traveled to nearly a dozen countries now, I can safely say that our stay at Atlantis hotel was one of our best hotel experiences ever. Nearly everything was perfect. I had chosen this hotel primarily because of its location and I couldn't have been more happy with my decision. It is right next to Placa Catalunya, which is the...

Location of the hotel is top: walking distance to Ramblas / Catalunya, Aerobus drops you off across the square (though you have to pick it from the Catalunya on the way back). Rooms and bathroom are quite big. Breakfast is ok (nothing out of this world, but ok).

We chose this hotel for its great location, its affordable price and the free breakfast and we were not disappointed. It is located five minutes walk away from Las Ramblas and a couple more minutes to Placa Catalunia which is the starting point for the Hop-on Hop-off open top buses (still open topped in fine weather late November so take...

Stayed 9 nights and found the hotel clean, comfortable and close to 2 metro stations. It was only a short walk to all major attractions including Port Vell. The decor was a little tired but very clean and the bathroom was well-stocked with soap, shampoo etc-even a bath sponge and there was plenty of hot water..The room had a secure...

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
