Staff was great. Hotel is clean and has a very big breakfast selection. It is centrally located off the La Rambla, but a few blocks away from crowds and street noise. Be aware that even on the 4th floor, you can hear the metro underground every few minutes. I am usually sensitive to night noise, but found this to be...

Very disappointing. In our room the the whole of the bath and shower area needed to be renewed. The indication of cold and hot had been damaged and you had to work by experiment. The plug did not fit in the bath. The carpets were dirty and the area under the bed had not been cleaned at all. The building...

I checked into this Hotel Sunday night, room was cleaned and available. I relaxed after a long flight. Friendly /smiling staff, helped me settle. Location is excellent, walk-able distance from Plaça de Catalunya, Sagrada Familia, Casa Milà. Try the open bus tour, its really good to see around..overall good place to stay. Wifi was good and was able to attend...

Stayed for 3 nights late October with friends in three different rooms. All were cosy, spacious and super clean. Comfy beds and pillows and quiet for a good sleep. My room was on the 7th floor with a nice small terrace (smoking room). Breakfast was rich, fresh and I'd say a bit of a nice surprise for it's price (10...

Catalonia Diagonal Centro, where Road Scholar parked us for our week of Barcelona discovery, was the low point of my visit. Conveniently located near public transportation, sleep was accompanied by the rumble of the subway beneath the street. Miscalculating the Road Scholar schedule, I arrived a day early and was told by the surly clerk he would attempt to find...

The service was friendly, helpful. The room was well maintained, clean towels, bedding. The amenities were pleasant and comfortable. The location was excellent, within a very short walking distance to trains and buses, making it very easy to get around a wonderful city!

We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights as part of a Road Scholar tour of Barcelona. The hotel in general was excellent and our room was very nice. The breakfast buffet that was included was very diverse and offered many excellent choices. However, the stations with the fried eggs, sausage, and quiche did not keep the food hot. I...

My partner and I spent two nights here at the end of a 2 week holiday touring around Spain. Having stayed in 7 hotels in 2 weeks, we can confidently say this was the worst one by far. I can put up with anything for 2 nights but I think if I'd booked for longer I would have requested another...

Excellent location for bars, restaurants and a metro stop very close. Inside the main entrance is clean modern and tidy with attentive and excellent staff. The room..... well. Bit dated with lots of wood that makes the room feel dated to the 1970's. And I have a strange wood panelled pillar in the room which makes it a bit of...

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
