Sad hotel with unfriendly staff, uncomfortable beds, dated furniture and definately not a 3 star. The only plus was that it is clean. No breakfast and pretty far from Ramblas and Placa Catalunya. Would not recommend, there are definately better places to stay and this hotel is not value for money for what I paid I feel ripped off. Also... More

Seriously, keep looking for accommodation in Barcelona, there are 100 better places than this closer to la rambles, and I bet the staff would be 10 times more helpful and polite! We unfortunately stayed here for 4 nights in September 2016, I had booked a double room with terrace, and paid for it mind you, only to arrive and be... More

For a 3* it sucks terribly. Poor sleeping comfort, no self-service kettle in the room, no drinking water, have to pay extra to use the room safe deposit, poor breakfast options, lousy air conditioning. Only good points were - the room at the back was very quiet overlooking a quaint courtyard. And the location is quite convenient to access Placa... More

Stayed for 4 nights in September 2016 as a solo traveller. The location isn't bad and a 5-10 minute walk to nearest metro stop. There are plenty of supermarkets and cafes nearby. The single rooms are internal to the building - no window facing outside. You do have a window out onto an internal space which is dark and gloomy,... More

We were quite disappointed in the hotel considering the price, location was the best thing about it. The bed was rock hard, pillows so bad we asked for more and we received a cushion. No facilities for making tea or coffee, for drinking out of they give you a couple of plastic disposable cups (one had a crack so couldn't... More

Fine place to stay if you want to be central and dont want to spend so much. Rooms are like SUPER basic. But clean. Was there really to be out and about so happy with this place. I was in a small single room, with just a small single bed. But was enough room to unpack. Good little stores nearby... More

The hotel was great, looks even better than in photos. Loved everything about it, rooms are nice, really clean and spacious. Ours was overlooking the street, which was great. Staff is nice and helpful, they speak English well. Breakfast was great, loved the local deserts they served. Hotel's location is superb, as it is located near the city centre (8... More

I can't believe some of the poor reviews this hotel has got considering how good it really is! If you pay for 3 star that it what you get. I thought it was excellent for 3 star. Our twin rooms was regularly cleaned and comfortable. The bathroom was a modern one with one of the best showers I have come... More

The hotel is located just two blocks from Plaza Universitat. Great location to explore the city. The hotel itself is fairly good, nothing else. The rooms are little than average. The WIFI connection is very poor and they change the password every 24 hours. Be prepare, they charge 4€ daily for using the safe deposit box. The bathtub is kind... More

Excellent hotel. Friendly and very helpful staff. Comfortable beds and clean rooms. Only two blocks away from Place de Universitat for metro and bus stops to and from airport. Couldn't recommend it enough.

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
