This b&b is actually an apartment in an old building converted in several rooms. The decor is nice, art deco, high ceilings, but very poor soundproofing and very few services you would normally expect from reception. For example, luggage storage after check-out can be an issue. Breakfast, as mentioned in other reviews, is nothing fancy, however they have a Nespresso... More

We stayed at Belle Epoque for three nights in July 2013. Our room was the Fresco room, very nice, lovely restaurated and furnished with antiques. We especially liked the little winter garden with a view of the court, where you can enjoy breakfast. Our room was clean and quiet. The landlord Xavi was really friendly and very relaxed and helpful,... More

The suite was very nice, tastefully decorated (except for plastic plants and flowers). The location is very good, few minutes on foot from Gaudi's main buildings in Barcelona. There are two main inconveniences: the suite is incredibly noisy from the street traffic and I could not sleep without earplugs, which I conveniently bought in a pharmacy nearby. The air conditioning... More

A great place to stay. We stayed for 6 nights here and were not disappointed. Very close to all our attractions and to the biggest train/metro station. Very very clean and the owner was very helpful and flexible with our arrival. The traffic nosie was not an issue for us but could bother others. The breakfast was simple and appropriate.... More

stayed here for three nights in Orchidea's room. It is very comfortable, beautiful, convenient. Also, it is good location near gaudi sites and passeig de gracia. If another go to barcelona, this b&b is a good choice to stay.

If you're looking for a place to stay in Barcelona that is clean, centrally located and reasonably priced, this is definitely the place to be. I stayed for 2 nights but had a great experience while I was there. The host was very friendly and accommodating. There's a kitchen set up for breakfast / snacks whenever you like. The bed... More

If you are an experienced traveler then this is a wonderful choice. The owners do not live on premise so once you check in you are pretty much on your own. That being said the advice they did give me on where to eat was spot on, Los Acarios, about a block away has wonderful regional food at great prices.... More

We very much enjoyed our 3 night stay at the Belle Epoque. Very well located for visiting La Pedrera and other Gaudi sites. Very nice room. Very quiet. Breakfast is self service. Free Wifi. Would certainly book here again on another visit to Barcelona.

We spent a week this summer. The b&b is located in the block named Eixample, excellent view on modernist buildings around. Very close to passeig de gracia and a brief walk to the city centre. The building is historical and really impressive. We had the lavanda room which is simply amazing and gave us total comfort. Xavi and Milena, the... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
