chic&basic Ramblas is inspired by the Barcelona of the 1960s. In chic&basic Ramblas, the same as in that age, the playful and the creative are strongly united. With a photographic exposition on the doors of the 85 rooms, the passageways overflowing with colour and history, a green Seat 600 in the lobby and a restaurant with bar and terrace, the c&b Ramblas is an entire experience that we hope will delight you. chic&basic Ramblas has all the services that make chic&basic the perfect place to enjoy your stay in the centre of Barcelona: Reception 24 hours, locked room for luggage, bar and restaurant with tapas and live music, parking, free PC's and WiFi in the lobby. Also, if you want to move around the city at your own pace, bicycles are available to rent. We also encorage you to try to mix the history of Ciutat Vella with some curiosities, gastronomic and nightlife, discover your own Barcelona story but do not hesitate to ask for suggestions! We hope to welcome you someday soon :)

Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.

It is the unique city center hotel just next to metro station but in very convenient and silent street. 1 minute walk to La Rambla. I suggest you to take Aerobus from airport to Pl.Catalunia then walk through to La Rambla to hotel. Staff are very kind, room is elegant and clean,

Approach to hotel was down a dodgy alley, not good first impression:( hotel reception/bar area looks nice, that's the best bit. Didn't sleep a wink, there is a football court opposite the hotel which people had a kick about until after midnight, also outside front of hotel,

Stayed here for 3 nights on my first trip to Barcelona. An okay experience. Some staff were friendlier than others. The positives: - price relative to some other hotels in the area was competitive - location was great relative to attractions. Just off Las Ramblas but not

Hi from chic&basic Ramblas, First of all we would like to thank you for choosing our hotel and also for your detailed review. Our guests opinions are regarded because always help us to improve our standards of quality. Of course we agree with all the positive aspects you mentioned. In response to the issue with the room key we would like to clarify that this practice is very common in hotels world. Our staff ask the name quite often, when they consider that it is necessary. We also have cameras in all the floors, lobby and surroundings of the hotel. For many years, in this hotel and in many others this practice has symbolized the old hotel school and even that we understand it could seem unsafe,it is not. We respect your impression but we never had a bad experience. Regarding the location,it's true that the hotel is located in an alley, as you mentioned it could seemed isolated at first but after a while you realize that it is a very quiet place in the middle of the racket. We also would like to explain that we use a special shower gel with natural honey which is suitable for body and hair. Regarding the water pressure sometimes could undergo,we apologize if this happened during your stay. We would like to thank you once more on behalf of all the chic&basic ramblas team. Kind regards, Olympia Martín Front Desk Manager

Hi from chic&basic Ramblas, Thanks for booking with us and also for taking the time to write about your experience. It is true that we are busy quite often at the front desk and we love it, it is our pleasure to assist our guests with all the issues they may need. We are a three stars hotel therefore the features of our rooms are along this line. We provide different room types: standard , superior with balcony, superior with terrace, triple and family room. The rooms are different sizes and the standard room is the smallest. However the size of all the rooms and their bathroom and honor all the local regulations. It is true that the hotel is located in a little alley, all the Gothic Quarter an Raval are very similar, with many of these little alleys, however, the one of the hotel is not dangerous and the police station is just 800 meters away. We also have our cameras outside in the street to check and recording everything. We are glad to know that in spite of these aspects you enjoyed your stay here. Kind regards, Olympia Martín Front Desk Manager
