My wife and I have just returned from spending our wedding anniversary at GranVia. The sparkling wine in an ice bucket in our room on arrival was a lovely touch. The reception staff were faultless, the interior decor was amazing, our room was clean and comfortable (with a range of toiletries in the bathroom) and the breakfast was excellent and varied ( my wife was presented with gluten free bread, cake and pastries each morning). It is perfectly positioned to walk to all the main tourist attractions. The only time we used public transport was to visit Parc Guell - which is well worth the effort. If we return to Barcelona we would not hesitate to stay here again.

We stayed at Hotel Granvia for five nights in February and could not have been any happier. The central location was absolutely perfect and close to virtually everything we needed: Aerobus and Metro stops, Placa de Catalunya, Barri Gotic, El Raval, Eixample were all within walking distance. The hotel staff was always very friendly and helpful. The hotel is an updated, modern, very clean, and comfortable. The terrace was a great place to relax, unwind, and enjoy the sunny weather after a long day of travelling or touring. The breakfast was fantastic.

Excellent hotel. Superior room with Juliette balcony overlooking Gran Via. Ideal location, great service. Great value.Points for improvement… tea and coffee making in room wasn’t replenished / cleaned each day unless requested. Tea/coffee making machine in main lounge needed to provide cold milk. Tiny points that didn’t detract from our stay, but stopped us awarding 5 stars. Very friendly reception staff for whom nothing was too much trouble.

You can hear what’s going on in the adjacent rooms bathroom even farts! No insulation! I said the staff to change my room but the answer was that wouldn’t work as the all rooms same ! Moreover I was lucky behind 4th floor on the top

We enjoyed our stay at the GranVia. The hotel was a very convenient location, beautiful hotel and great breakfast. Staff was very friendly and helpful with any questions we had about the area. The air conditioning was not working (it was November) but we were able to open the windows which was fine.

Fabulous experience staying at Hotel Granvia. Staff was friendly, hotel was beautiful, just enough off the main drag that it is quiet but easily able to get everywhere within walking distance. Beds were incredibly comfortable, rooms were a good size. We upgraded to a superior room and glad we did. It was my birthday during our stay and they surprised me with a complimentary bottle of champagne and dessert which was so kind. Highly recommend!

The hotel was very good for location. Breakfast was great. Room with terrace a little small but clean and comfortable. Terrace was lovely, but the had no bar facility as this had closed before our stay and we were not informed prior to arrival, which we feel they should have advised us the facility was no longer available.

Great hotel in a convenient location. Perfect combo of old charm and modern amenities with a helpful and friendly staff. They were able to accommodate an early check in when we arrived and gave us great advice about how to navigate the city. The outdoor garden was a great place to have a coffee or glass of wine.

The hotel staff, especially Andres and Leydy, were extremely helpful in orienting us to Barcelona. The location was excellent, and the rooms very clean, although small ( next time, I will upgrade to a superior room). I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and would stay there again.

Absolutely spectacular aesthetics and value for money! Wow what a gorgeous hotel! Comfortable bed, clean rooms with minimalist decor. Blackout curtains for a good night’s sleep. The common areas are absolutely stunning with luxurious moulsings and high ceilings. Superb breakfast, and lots of delicious crusty gluten-free bread, packaged muffins and elephant ear pastries provided. It’s from “BEst GLUTEN FREE”, and amazing GF bakery in Barcelona. The terrace is a wonderful place to relax before or after your day in Barcelona. Location is absolutely perfect. Umbrellas to lend you on rainy days and terrific map. The team is friendly and helpful, especially the front desk rep named Lady who is an absolute superstar! Next time in Barcelona I’ll be booking here again.
