On our visit to Barcelona we stayed at the Granvia. Excellent hotel . Good central location . Excellent breakfast with lots of choice. Very close to lots of shops and for the bus stops for the pre all day Barcelona buses .

Fantastic location for exploring barcelona. Rooms are nice, spacious and clean. Disappointed with lack of basic facilities in the room such as an iron, tea/ coffee facilities. (I should have checked at booking but took for granted given level of accommodation).

This is a pretty good hotel to explore the city from, close to shops, metro and Gaudi buildings. It is on a major road, easily accessible from the airport. It is a bit like the tardis, a small entrance belies a reasonable size hotel with a nice terrace out back. It is not a chain & therefore has a nice... More

Just back from four nights in the Hotel Granvia, and can only give the hotel and staff the highest praise. Centrally placed for La Rambla and all the main sights of the city - we walked everywhere from Segrada Familia down to the beach. Hotel itself is spotless, we had a room overlooking the terrace at the rear of the... More

I was recommended to stay at this hotel by a colleague who enjoyed a week's stay in the summer with his family. The rooms were clean and modern as was the bathroom. Breakfast was very good with a wide variety of different styles of breakfast. Self-service coffee and tea was available during the night in the breakfast room. Next to... More

We had planned on staying at our normal Hotel NH Calderone, which is great. They had a convention going on so we found this wonderful Hotel on trip Advisor and we found it superb. There is an outside bar and lounge area with service at the ring of a bell. We stayed there the first night, than took the train... More

We give the Hotel Granvia our highest recommendation if you're thinking about staying in or near central Barcelona. We stayed at the hotel for nine days over the Christmas holiday and had a wonderful time. The hotel is meticulously maintained by a very friendly and very helpful staff. Whether it was the cleaning crew or the front desk, we were... More

This is an extermely well located hotel, in the centre, near all the main shopping areas. The quality-price ratio is quite high. Breakast is very good. Noisewise, it is always better to get a room away from the inner courtyard.

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
