Best location! Good view! Nice staff! The whole package is just good! 5 mins walk to Casa Batllo, 10mins walk to Plaça de Catalunya... Shopping, dining and site visit are all so easy from here. The roof top bar is nice, reasonable price of drinks! Nothing is better than having a glass of wine, chatting with friend and at the same time, enjoying the night view from the pool side / rooftop bar! You can even see Sagrada Familia there!

My wife and I spent one night in the Gran Hotel Calderon in mid-November 2023. It was an okay stay. The hotel appears to be in a nice area, but we didn't walk around very much. The room we had was nice, although there were some issues. The bed and linens were very adequate. There's a coffee maker and an minibar in the room. The Internet access was adequate. The bathroom is large with a single sink, but a large sink. There's a walk in shower. There were a few things I didn't care for. First, there was no bar soap in the bathroom. There were bottles of different soaps, but nowhere to put them in the shower - except on the floor. I don't understand why hotels don't provide bar soap. Trying to shower with that liquid soap is not what I enjoy. The shower had an overhead shower head and a hand held shower head, and you could adjust the temperature with a knob. But you couldn't adjust the volume of water. It was either full on or off. Finally, the air conditioning didn't work. The room was too hot and even with the thermostat turned all the way down and the fan on high, it didn't cool the room. We only ate breakfast at the hotel restaurant and it was fine. The staff was excellent - no problems there. All-in-all, not a bad stay but a few things could be improved. …

We stayed here for 4 nights at the beginning of November and had a fantastic time. Check in was seamless and we were extremely impressed with the helpfulness and friendliness of all the staff. The room was spacious and clean, bottled water, tea and coffee were all provided daily. We ate at the rooftop bar and both the drinks and food were excellent, the staff at the bar were also extremely friendly and accommodating, we didn’t book breakfast in advance but decided to eat breakfast in the hotel restaurant on our last day, again everything was really good. The hotel itself is in a perfect location, right in the heart of the city, at the quieter end of the Ramblas, there are a host of shops, bars and restaurants on the doorstep of the hotel. The marina and most of the tourist attractions are also within reasonable walking distance (1-2 miles on average) we couldn’t have asked for a better location. In summary, this was the perfect hotel for a family cottage break and we would highly recommend.…

Location was great, easy access to the city and sights. Breakfast was amazing, the local produce selection as excellent. Guest relations (Maria) went above and beyond made our stay very enjoyable. RoofTop bar - views/drinks/ snacks absolutely spot on.

Hotel is superbly situated, near shopping, near many good restaurants, short walk to key tourist sites on the Gracia (Casa Milia, for example). Easy access to the metro. Hotel is quiet, well-maintained. Room was comfortable, lighting good, enough outlets, good bathroom. Very nice breakfast.

Wonderful room in the middle of everything is great tapas bars around, friendly, staff, and a great city. I highly recommend hotel NH Calderón. Make sure you visit the tapas bar on the corner for some of the best cappuccino and tapas in town. Great trip.

Great service in a perfectly located hotel. Pool and bar on top floor were a nice add on and provided a great view of the city. The staff was great and were able to meet all of our needs. From the staff checking in; the concierge and all other staff, we had a great time and always felt very welcome.
