It was really difficult to find it, because it dont have any sign or something. It was really cold to sleep. The service is quite good, the offer us free coffee and some bread. I thing you can find something better.

we stayed here on July 2013. Great location but one toilet between six rooms! Very extremely noisy as our room near the lounge area/toilet and shower area. We were always super tired so I cannot say anything about the sleeping quality, I suppose it was good.

Late review. Stayed here for 5 nights in April 2013 as part of a large group. First to say, the location is exceptional, right in the heart of Barcelona. Price was the cheapest available. The place was very hard to find, as there was no adequate signage. The rooms were adequate, although the beds were somewhat uncomfortable, and the TV...

Firstly, the location of his hostel is amazing. It's on Via Laietana, which is walking distance from Placa Catalunya, where the airport bus stops. It is also walking distance to all other important places such as Las Ramblas, Barri Gotic, Passage de Garcia etc etc. The road itself is beautiful and goes straight down to the Barceloneta beach. The hostel...

I stayed there this September. the place wasn't that expensive, but compared with other auberges/hostels, it's definitely a miss. The owner speaks little english if at all, the showers and bathrooms are old and dirty, the rooms are just 2 twin beds and a double bed; white plaster walls, white sheets (not sure they were clean!) and a noisy window....

First of all, it's a nightmare to find, even the staff at the Starbucks across the road from the hostel didn't even know it existed. It's in a tucked away building, with an old rickety lift that doesn't even seem safe. It is run by a woman who has small children, and the room we were given was like a...

Recently spent four nights here. On the positive side if you want somewhere with a central location that is cheap then this is the place. The twin room was basic and was cleaned daily. The two available showers were clean and the water was hot! It's in a safe area as it is next to a police station. On the...

The room that they offered us was not even close to the pictures published. I will upload real pictures. It is not a hotel, It is a Hostal. This means that there were no private bathrooms. I went with my wife and we soon realised that we made a huge mistake when we made the reservations, perhaps if you are...

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.

“Rooms are very basic, bed - lamp - if lucky there will be a balcony. Do not expect more than that. Neighbours within the hostel are usually loads of people looking for parties, so exect noisy neighbours between 11 pm and 7 am !”
