Grums Hotel & Spa is celebrated for its immaculate cleanliness and friendly staff, who enhance the welcoming atmosphere with thoughtful gestures like welcome drinks. The rooms earn praise for their comfort and spaciousness, despite some remarks about dated decor. Conveniently situated near the Gothic Quarter, guests appreciate the hotel's central location and proximity to attractions. Although the value is generally regarded as reasonable, a few guests feel certain amenities, including the spa, are somewhat overpriced.

Very nice hotel, the staff were very efficient and friendly. Good location, so easy to walk everywhere from the hotel. Our room was clean and spacious. We had a car and the hotel has parking. We liked the spa although the pool was a bit small so more of a plunge pool than one you can swim in. We would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Barcelona.

The hotel was an ideal location for us going to Barca Fest at Poble Espanyol then on to the game at Lluis Company Stadium & walking back downhill all the way. It was close to Las Ramblas & Montjuïc Castle vía funicular & teleféric. All staff friendly & we both received gifts for our birthdays during our stay. Urban deluxe rooms very comfortable & clean with plenty of toiletries supplied. We ate dinner in restaurant one evening & enjoyed carbonara/Greek salad. The highlight of our stay was the spa with hydro massage which was the perfect remedy for our legs each day after covering all those miles seeing the sights of the city.

A clean hotel and centrally located. Check-in was easy and the front desk spoke English which made things easier. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable and we enjoyed our balcony on the 6th floor. Breakfast is available for additional cost on and we did this one of the mornings we were there. It is a full breakfast, offering a full coffee station to customize your coffee, fruit, eggs, a selection of proteins and even mimosas. It is close to several attractions and we were able to walk easily to Gothic center and up to Montjuic. Close to many restaurants and local cafe's for the days we didn't do breakfast at the hotel. They also offered us two welcome drinks from their bar. We unfortunately didn't have time to enjoy their spa, but I heard great things about it.

Great location - around 15 mins walk from Les Rambles and the Port so central but in a quieter neighbourhood. Rooms were comfortable - oddly the sink is in the main bedroom rather than in the bathroom. Great overhead shower. Slippers, robe and hairdryer provided but no iron or ironing board in the room. Friendly staff and security. We had a massage in the spa which was brilliant. We prebooked and got 15% off. Overall a good base for a few days.

Me and my husband planed to have a relaxing evening at the end of our stay in Barcelona and we decided staying to Grums with the hope of having a great room and good spa. Unfortunately the quality of the room is so poor, very old furniture and bad quality of sanitary equipment, bed and humid smell inside. The spa is very small. The hotel area is in the middle of a dark neighbourhood and doesn’t have the right view for a 4stars hotel. I given 2 stars for the staff because they were very nice with us. Very disappointed about this place.

Dear guest, First of all we would like to thank you for your stay with us and for taking the time to evaluate it. We are glad to know that the treatment received by our staff, location and facilities were to your liking. On the other hand we regret that the room was not to your liking, usually both our rooms and our spa service are highly valued by our customers, we would also like to share with you that the maximum capacity of our Spa is 10 people, to avoid this overcrowding that you indicate. Best regards. Marcos Trueba. Hotel manager

My partner & I stayed for 3 nights at Grums Hotel & Spa. The receptionists were welcoming and helpful. - Spoke English well. When leaving at 4am for our flight home they was able to book a taxi for us no problem. You are given a welcome drink voucher on arrival to use in the hotels bar. Limited choice. However, I had a small white wine, and my partner had a small local beer, which tasted nice. I can not comment on breakfast/ dinner as we ate out every day. I think the breakfast was around £12 pp/per day. The rooms were clean and modern. The mood lights set the tone of the room. They had a kettle and mini fridge. Air con worked well. The shower was great. You had the choice of the rainfall head or normal head. The sink in the bedroom was unusual, but I quite liked this - it was easier to do my makeup/ hair in! The rooms came equipped with a hairdryer. The beds are very comfy. The only thing missing would have been a long mirror - unsure if they had ones in other rooms, but we didn't in ours - could have had one hung on the bathroom wall. Also, there are no plug sockets near the bed, which was not a problem for us, but I know some people would find this an issue. As stated above, we were only on a short city break, so we did not have our room cleaned, so I could not comment if they had done these every day. However, we did see the housekeeper every morning working hard. I can not comment on the spa as we did not use this. However, it looked relaxing. I think it was 16 euros per day to use. The hotel is central to La Rambla - a 10-minute walk. There are plenty of bars and restaurants there. - beware of the prices in this area for drinks we was charged 51 euro for 2 steins of beer when told they was 16 euro each - the side streets have the best bars for 2.50 euro a pint/ 3 euro for a glass of wine. Bar manchester/ subrosa we found were lovely bars. There is a fun lively irish bar in the centre with live singers / dj on every night. However, prices were expensive, but it was worth it as a good pub! If you don't fancy paying 35 euros for a taxi - the hotel is accessible from the airport via A2 BUS outside the airport (you pay for your ticket at the bus stop a lady goes along the que asking how many tickets you need) - you get off at PL. ESPANYA, then you get the L3 metro line , get off at paral-lel station, then it is a short walk. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Grums Hotel & Spa, and we would definitely stay again if we were in Barcelona.

We stayed for 5 nights as a family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. Hotel was lovely and clean. Room was a very good size for the four of us with good storage space. Daily cleaning was of a high standard. We paid for breakfast as part of our package which was good and kept us going until our late lunch each day. We also paid for a spa pass and it was lovely and relaxing. Location was good, we could walk to the gothic quarter in 10/15 mins and the nearest metro was about 5 mins away with access to the L2 and L3 lines. Buses were also handy - we never waited long for transport so we were happy with the location of the hotel. We found a street nearby that had lots of lovely pinchos restaurants, definitely worth a visit. The street is called Carrer de Blai. Would definitely stay here again! Thank you to all the staff!

The hotel is located just outside of the main city and was a 10 minute walk. We noted no concerns regarding safety in either the day or night time when walking from or to the hotel. The staff were friendly and efficient when it came to check in. The spa was small but had all the nessart facilities and was a nice way to relax after a day of exploring. The first visit was free but after thstvyou had to pay but the price was reasonable and generally it was always very quiet when we went, which I partly put down to it being off season.

Stayed here for 2 nights when we went to see OMD at the nearby Scala Opolo. It's not central (which is a good thing) but is in a working class neighborhood not far from the docks. All the same it was great being with the locals. There's a pasteleria next door if you're room only. Everything fresh & delicious.
