This was the worst experience I have ever had at a Ritz Carlton property or maybe even Bonvoy hotel in general. I have been a Bonvoy Platinum member for 6 years and never have I received such appalling service. When I arrived to the hotel, there was a huge line at check in. I got to the front finally around 40 min prior to check in time (3pm) and I was told by the receptionist that my room was not ready but that it wouldn’t take long and I should wait and she would call me. The receptionist was very vague, but reassuring, and led me to believe that the room would be ready before check in. I decided to go eat lunch in the restaurant beside the lobby while I waited. I never received a call, even past the check in time. I decided to go back to the reception area and waited in line to be served. When I was next there were a few employees behind the counter not serving anyone/doing anything but they didn’t acknowledge me. Then an older, white man approached (I am a young Asian woman) and was served right away. I had to call out to him that there was a queue and felt disappointed that the receptionist was willing to serve him right away when I was clearly just standing there waiting. After calling out the line cutter, they decided to serve me. I explained that I had been waiting for a room and couldn’t believe they didn’t have one given it was past check in time (not to mention I am a Platinum member). The receptionist made a call in Spanish and basically then was able to give me a room right away. Clearly there were rooms available and they chose to not give me one earlier which confused me. Next, I inquired about the free breakfast that was included in my rate. The receptionist did not see that and I had to pull up my confirmation to prove it. Once again, a call had to be made and I was told I can have breakfast at a reduced rate. I couldn’t believe that the person would try to tell me that after I just showed the email saying breakfast was included in my rate. After escalating further my free breakfast was acknowledged. I just cannot believe the appalling service at this apparently luxury hotel. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone and regret choosing this property for my vacation.

Hotel's Favorite
From check in till check out we had an excellent stay! It felt sad to leave! We have stayed here pre-pandemic many times but the last time before pandemic we had some issues. after two years we wanted to see how the hotel is doing now and wow, we were not disapointed! We had a lovely suite overlooking both the city (excellent view of the Sagrada Familia) and overlooking the beach as well. From Club Lounge you have views over Port Olimpic and the beach. Club Lounge, and the lovely people that work, is amazing. Lovely food presentations and in the morning your eggs cooked to order by a chef. The hotel is close to bars and restaurants but the lovely Marina Restaurant onsite was great. Nice atmosphere, great food It was my husbands 50th birthday during. our stay and the lovely girls from Club Lounge made it a real celebration! Pool was crowded later in the day but it was holiday season (august) when we stayed. Two pools, one larger and an adults one. We had a pleasure to meet Nikolai Willenbrink and Alexandro Lopez at the last moment, just before checking out. They do an excellent job! Thanks everyone again and we will come back soon!

Had four days of downtime at this hotel following a busy 6 weeks touring through Europe. Received a very warm and comprehensive welcome the moment we arrived - which set the tone for the rest of the stay. Great location, great staff, plenty of food/drink options. Only downside to note was that the pools were very cold.

We had a very lovely stay! It was our first time in Barcelona. Since we arrived, we were welcomed for a very elegant manager, Ingrid. She was more than welcoming, offered drinks for being Marriott member and asked us if we were celebrating any special occasion. She approved an upgrade for us because we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. Then, we got impressed when she escorted us to the room and explained the features, she noticed that the lights of the windows and curtains weren’t working well and immediately handled it with maintenance. What an exceptional service! Later in the evening we received a cava with chocolates with a handwritten card by Ingrid. We felt very special. This kind of professionalism was consistent even in other areas as the breakfast, the bartenders of the bar and concierges with Le Clef D’Or. The service we received was top notch! Definitely we’ll come back!

I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Arts for my anniversary. The room was lovely, as well as the amenities. However, from the beginning to the end, our interactions with the staff was impeccable. Due to the longer stay we became familiar with them, exchanging pleasantries on a daily basis. At breakfast, a young lady named Claudia was happy to check in on us even when we were not in her section. I enjoyed the immense food layout, as well as their resident Hawk. Enzhe (spelling?) greeted us as the dining room host each day and was a pleasure to talk to. I don't often go to hotel bars but Barcelona is a great walking city that wiped us out. Once indoors we didn't want to leave, so a couple of times we went to the hotel bar and struck up a conversation with the friendly bartender, Laura. She had some lovely stories about her work abroad and she and her colleagues also made it a point to extend anniversary congratulations and offerings. During check-in Hernandez offered us a big welcome and Cava. Yes, everyone gets the drinks but it boiled down to the exchange. Barcelona was a reminder of what it was like to have great human interaction in a industry that is slowly being replaced with kiosks. The small gestures, acknowledgements and eye-contact went a long way and I look forward to returning someday.

We have stayed at Arts over eight times during the last 10 years and we cannot get enough. We now returned after the pandemic and we can only say that the staff was awesome. Extremely high level of service making our stay wonderful. Big shout out to Saralí, who helped us with her restaurant knowledge and always made sure we were enjoying our stay. Can't wait to go back next summer.

It was a nice surprise to return to this hotel after more than 10 years. The property still looks amazing the room was very nice and the service great! In the afternoon you can enjoy a glass of sparkling wine in the lobby and the buffet breakfast is spectacular. Probably one of the best breakfast I have ever seen! Unfortunately nobody ever alerted us of how dangerous Barcelona is and our watches were stolen with violence leaving cuts in our wrists. THE HOTEL SHOULD ALERT ITS GUESTS.
