What a lovely hotel. Very modern and clean. The best part of our stay was the care we received from the employees!!! The people at the front desk were more than helpful and welcoming. Charlotte was fabulous and answered all of my questions and even researched restaurants for me with a sweet smile.
Unfortunately there was no house keeping service today, no water, although outside we are above 30 degrees, Supervision of housekeeping should be a must for this type of hotel. Very disappointing to provide feedback and be told that only some towels will be brought. More is definitely needed for such a modern hotel. Important to highlight, refill of shampoo and other bathroom amenities was not provided from one day to the other. We also ordered room service and the tray was left there all day which meant the room had an unpleasant smell upon our return. Please ensure the experience matches what is promised on your webpage.
My husband and I stayed in Barcelona for 3 nights. We were given a room on the third floor, overlooking the train station and the adjacent square, which is usually filled with people and taxis. Now, the bathroom has a really huge window, that seemed completely transparent. The shower is right next to the window, so you have to stay in front of the window in order to shower. Third floor is pretty close to the ground, and from the square in front of the hotel the view opens right into the shower for anyone who walks by. Feeling really uneasy about showering basically in front of a crowd of people, I went to the front desk to ask if there is some mechanism that maybe shades the bathroom window, as we couldn’t find anything on our own. I was assured by a front desk guy that there is some special coating on the window that makes it impossible to see anything from the street. So, reassured, my husband and I took showers for the fist two days of our stay. On the third day we decided to conduct an experiment — I would stand in the shower and my husband would photograph me from the street — to really shake off any concerns that we might be seen from the street. Turned out, other windows in the hotel indeed had some coating, but ours DID NOT. You can see the attached photo for yourself — there I am waving to my husband (you can probably see apple logo on the iPhone in my hand, that’s the level of details). The bathroom window right above me has a blurred type of coating, but ours is just simple 100% see through window. When I showed the photos that we took to the front desk guy, he seemed genuinely sorry for the fist 10 seconds. However, his solution to this (clearly, very disturbing) incident completely threw me off. He asked if my husband and I “were planning to use our shower tonight”, to which I replied “obviously not, given that we know now the entire train station can see us showering!” I was clearly expecting us to be moved to another room just this instance. But the guy thought that us not showering is a good enough solution, and he offered the next morning the window in our room would be changed. Well, we left that morning and are clearly never coming back. What really amuses me is that this is supposedly a five star hotel. We were never issued any kind of apology, no compensation for our distress at all. The hotel staff just behaved as if nothing had happened. Exposing customers’ nudity just like that to me seems like a very serious violation, it is not just some broken thermostat in the room. If the hotel was located in the US I would already be suing it. Bottom line to the future guests — if you are given a room on lower floors, please take some effort to walk around the hotel and check for yourself just how much of your bathroom can be seen from the street.…
It's not in a famous part of the city, but everything you need is nearby, the staff is super friendly and helpful, and it's modern meaning everything is clean and new and fresh. Excellent beds, good bathrooms, dark curtains, espresso machine in the room, fresh and fluffy towels. Good accommodation too for days of business meetings, with good AV and lunch (terrible coffee, though).
Very convenient location . Near main train station , grocery etc etc. The building is an older building but very well remodeled with excellent quality . Located in a busy location of that neighborhood We stayed in top floor premium skyline (22) with gorgeous view. Mostly we stayed in our room a lot of time in our room and enjoyed the View. Picture is attached . Service was great in particular we thank Charlotte , Jesus, Christian , Marco (?)and all others in front desk . I must mention that the only problem is once in a while noise coming from the ceiling . We think it’s probably the noice of pipes ? Since it’s an older building . We def go back tho Nobu if we visit Barcelona.
Stayed for 8 nights in mid April on a “stay longer” deal meaning every 4th night is free, prebooked in advance, effective rate €220 a night. Room 2119 was a Premium Skyline room and it was very lovely, light filled with gorgeous views on the corner but blocked by a structural pole. There are 22 floors to the hotel and restaurant sits above that. I later moved to 2114 which was a Suite with a separate generous living area to access the bathtub. Pros: - The room is gorgeous. A lot of money was spent on the Japanese minimalist design. Getting home every day felt very zen. - Check in was efficient - bottles of water was given and appreciated - Concierge was friendly with my 3 year old and gave him a little colouring book - The ground floor bistro Kozara serves some amazing rice bowls (donburi) - Large Supermarket within 2 min walk was a saving grace - they have fresh fruit and juice, fresh bread and milk, Jamon counter where they shave it off the leg in front of you, snacks, bottled water etc. but there are homeless people waiting at the front begging for money etc - Faces Sants Train station (3 min walk) for day trips Cons: - The area is TERRIBLE. Remote from all the attractions of Barcelona, not stroller friendly, takes a minimum 20-25 minutes by train or subway to get to the nearest attraction or other decent areas - No decent dine-in food options nearby so if you’re on a rate without breakfast a solution could be to pick up something from the supermarket. Food deliveries can also be done. - Breakfast (until 10am) comes with a view served in the restaurant, costs €35 (kids under 6 eat free). Very, very average buffet situation compared to other 5 star international hotels in Europe. The bananas were all black with the peels split open. Nothing was freshly prepared. If I had known how poor the standard was I would have waited until Kozara opened at 10am. - Spa does not permit children under 16. There is also no pool so no other facilities for children in the entire building/area - Staff was the worst I have dealt with in any hotel. Arrogant and under trained. When I asked for more 2 more bottles of water (day 2 of my 10 day stay), I was promptly advised by a lady that I’m only entitled to the two bottles PER STAY. I said, how are 2 bottles supposed to last me for 10 days? She said “you can buy it from the mini bar”. Finally she relented and said, ok you can have one bottle. She literally turned up with one bottle, and not the requested 2. Why on earth would a hotel charging €300+ per night gripe over a €0.20c bottle of water over a 10 minute conversation is so strange and annoying! Despite my negative experiences, Cristian on the front desk was the only person who was a pleasure to deal with - he understood the issues immediately and tried to find solutions for me, such as identifying that there was a system issue with automated confirmations not being sent out, and when I left something behind after checkout he promptly (within minutes!) responded to emails and arranged for it to be collected. - Food deliveries are not to be delivered to the room, so you must go downstairs yourself to collect. At first front desk said they can’t send my food up because “she’s the only one on the desk” (please don’t share your staffing issues with the guests). Then she came up and delivered it later, but told me off to say it was a one-off and they can’t deliver “for health and safety reasons” and I’ll need to collect food myself from there on. I went down the following day at midnight to collect food in my Pajamas and front desk gave me some mortifying glances - but what on earth did they expect if they refuse to provide a basic service like delivery of items?! - Other minor issues like dirty floors from housekeeping, bathroom doors being locked from the outside, curt tones from “guest services” on any request, strictly no late checkout beyond 1pm even if no one is booked into use the room (I was advised extending to 4pm would cost €120), meant I had enough feeling uncomfortable being treated like this by the staff and cut my 10 day down to 8 and moved to the Intercontinental Barcelona which is far, far more pleasant in every way possible.…
I booked a 1 night stay here for my boyfriends birthday and our anniversary. The staff were extremely friendly and they had put champagne and macaroons in the room which was a lovely touch! The room was on the 18th floor as I requested a high floor and it was lovely and spacious with gorgeous views of the city. We went to the cocktail bar upstairs followed by dining in the Nobu restaurant. I would 100% recommend this hotel as the views and rooms are stunning, and the staff could not be any friendlier!
Had a perfect 4-night- stay in this amazing hotel. 17th floor offered fabulous view to the mountains and city. Beds were super comfy, gorgeous down pillows and duvets, too. Luxury sheets... Lovely bathroom space and nice toiletries. Everything clean and perfect. Amazing breaakfast (especially the buffet) with superbe views. Delicious dinner at the NOBU restaurant with evening views. Spa area was much appreciated after a long day of walking. Great steam room, refreshing pool. I am a picky guest when it comes to hotels, but I have nothing to complain about this one! Service also impeccable. Location central and easy to get around from here. Would return in a heartbeat.
I have been living in Barcelona since January and had eaten at the Nobu restaurant once and wanted to come back for a stay so I decided to on my last night and am very happy I did. The check in process was easy and the room was very luxurious with an awesome view of the city. The rooms are very sleek and you can tell that everything is new. The room came with a Marshall speaker which was a nice touch. The bathroom has all high end materials and the bed was extremely comfortable. I love the giant fluffy pillows in the king size bed. The rooms use all high end materials such as wood and marble. Everything is so aesthetically pleasing to the eye. I also really liked the mood lighting. options and the automatic blinds. It’s so nice to open them without having to get out of bed! Comparing this to Four Seasons, St Regis and other 5 star hotels in this category I think it’s rooms are definitely up to the 5 star badge. The location however is a bit odd. If you are looking to stay downtown closer to the tourist spots and shopping, I would recommend the Mandarin Oriental given it’s better location. The Nobu however is close to the metro and they make it super easy to get a cab right out front. Overall a great experience and I will hopefully be back when the Spa opens so I can try it! Also- the Nobu restaurant (which is a chain of course along with the Matsuhisa restaurants) had delicious cocktails and sushi and one of the best views in Barcelona. …
This is supposed to be a 5 star hotel with Nobu restaurant on the top floor, but what I wasn’t told is that it’s still changing from what it was before, so no spa, no proper gym, no massage, no pool, no sauna. Sure, this was about €230 /night, but I wish I’d stayed in the town centre and had some taste of wonderful Barcelona like I’ve had before. I love Barcelona. I think it’s one of the best European cities around. City vibes, great restaurants, culture, beach, easy to walk around. Well, Nobu Hotel is nowhere near all of that! I was given a ViP Corner room #2019 on the 20th floor so it has 2 windows to get a view over the city, however the part of the city we are in is plain modern blocks with nothing to see (photos), so it’s a sad sparse view that lacks any of the Barcelona character that now would expect when visiting this wonderful city. When. You leave the hotel, you are next door to a Mercadona supermarket and Burger King is across the road. This is just not what Barcelona is about! Sure, if this is supposed to be a business hotel, then who needs a view and comforts of exciting Barcelona? Well I think if you hardly have any time here, it’s even more reason to be in the centre so you can walk out of the hotel any time and ‘feel’ the positive Barcelona vibe, instead of just another bricked up concrete jungle that it is around here. Inside the hotel, it is Soulless and feels like a show flat. Staff are pleasant, but that can never make up for what’s really missing here. Oh, just realised that my room has an intermittent heavy hum’ from somewhere in the wall. Not my aircon, as it’s off but more like a lift shaft, but I’m too far way from the lift for that. Breakfast this morning in Nobu restaurant with 'views' over the city, just not the city you imagine! This place is just not for me…or probably you either!…
