The moment I arrived at this hotel I was really impressed the room was very clean and comfy, staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was really good. There is a great little restaurant just down from the hotel and you didn't have to walk far to see all the sites, I would stay here again if I... More

We stayed in Barcelona for 5 nights. The Hotel Colonial was in a perfect position for visiting the beach and all the major sights. The breakfast was a great start to the day. We had a three bed room that was perfectly adequate, however a little more storage would have been good. The bathroom was lovely with a super rain... More

The hotel was situated nicely with a short walk from the bars/restaurants in the gotic area and el born area, also quite the short walk to the beach. Staff very friendly, except some of the women in the breakfast area. The breakfast was a dissapointment. The room had a good size bit I felt it was a bit dark.

This was our fourth trip to Barcelona and we had previously stayed in a motley selection of places. But upon arriving at this hotel we knew we had finally made the right choice. All at once, as we entered the impressively cool and spacious lobby, we were met by friendly, attentive staff who dealt with our check-in effortlessly. We had... More

Perfect location, the rooms are really nice, mattresses are very comfortable, staff is extremely nice, helpful and friendly. Only thing they could improve is the quality of the food at the buffet breakfast. Bit tasteless and not much variety. The other thing if you are staying on the lower floors you will here every time somebody used the toilet or... More

Family of 3 stayed in Colonial for 5 days in July 2016. Location couldn't be better, right near to all major points of interest- close to Gothic old town area, seaport, beach, Hop-on-Hop-off stops, restaurants, shops, etc. breakfast is included. Free WiFi. Staff is very polite. especially would like to mention Jose Alcazar who helped us tremendously to improve our... More

Requested double bed, given 2 singles, request quiet room, given room looking onto Via Laietana, with totally ineffective "double glazing" Clerks quite put out that I asked to be moved again, and in fact after this, didn't even acknowledge us when we passed the desk. Final room right next to elevator shaft, could hear whoomp, screech and squeak every time... More

The hotel is very well located and just few mins walk to harbour side and Gothic quarter. Rooms were okay . No double bed and we had to join two single beds. We were disappointed with the breakfast though. The staff during the breakfast was very unfriendly. She wouldn't let you enter unless you show her the receipt which room... More

We stayed here twice now, once in January 2012 and again in June 2016. The hotel is clean and its in a great location. If you are cruising out of Barcelona, this is a great first night place. We would stay again if cruising out of Barcelona. Walk to the Gaudi Cathederal, the beach and many other attractions.
