Had low expectations based on other reviews but really enjoyed my stay. Ambassador recognition was very good. Julen checked me in and was very helpful. Had breakfast while waiting for the room and was served by Sofia, who is very friendly and efficient. She presented me with a lovely tray of chocolate covered strawberries and an even lovelier personal note. Each day I was greeted by name in the restaurant. Some of the excellent staff include Valentin and Cynthia. First room the AC didn’t work. Engineering came promptly and changed filter. After a while it still wasn’t cooling so they moved me to a different room with same lovely view. First night was noisy, seems due to people upstairs. Front desk was very responsive and security tried to see where noise was coming from but weren’t able to. No issue subsequent nights. Still prefer Hotel Arts Club Level, but was very happily surprised by the W and disappointed that this conference won’t be held there again next year as it was an excellent venue (as was Hotel Arts year before) with great outdoor space which encourages mingling and networking and adds comfort in COVUD times.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks and it was AMAZING. A HUGE thank you to Ben, Sofia, Claudio, Marc and Victor (please forgive any typos in the spelling of the names), the girl at the pool entrance (we don't know the name but I am sure she remembers us LOL) and ALL the staff. Everyone has always been very polite and they helped us in any way they could. the gym and the spa are VERY good. we have been to the FIRE restaurant twice and it is REALLY good. Our suite was see view and Barcelona view, AMAZING ... for sure worth to go back!!!

We just had the pleasure of staying there for four nights in room 2015. From the moment we arrived till the moment we left we were treated like royalty. Staff are extremely professional, helpful, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The room was perfect with fabulous views of the sea. The breakfast was exceptional with a vast range of choices. The facilities in the hotel were excellent including indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Would certainly recommend this hotel and would be delighted to return. congratulations to the management who are running an extremely professional hotel.

High standard hotel. Rooms have an excellent view to the port. Security is high inside and outside the hotel. Guards at the entrance look out for taxi, car and buses arrivals. All personnel was kind during my stay and provide tips for tourism. Breakfast is based on buffet and also on some preparations that need to be asked to any waitress. Spa has massage services and also hot tub. There is a gym along side the spa.

We had the opportunity to stay in this hotel. We have to admit that we were a bit disappointed and expected way more. The location at the marina is great, but you are rather far from the other attractions. The design of the hotel is amazing and a landmark in Barcelona. The checkin was fast and the lady at the reception was very friendly and gave us al information needed. Once in the room, the view was breathtaking, as we were on the 17th floor. A nice room, but with some remarks. The door to the shower does not open to the inside, so the bath mat did block and the floor was still wet when leaving the shower. The sink where with the mirror was rather dark, although there was a light. The closet did not close very well, which should not be possible in a hotel if this category (5 star GL). We also had a night that the electricity went out several times, which was very annoying as all the lights went on, when the electricity restarted. Cleaning was ok, and also the bed was very comfy. The pool was very nice but rather small for this size of hotel. Towels are provided by some friendly pool staff. The bar of the hotel is slow, very slow. We order with a small group of about 10 people, but it took more than half an our until we got all our drinks. The food in the restaurant Fire was very good, but not cheap. The staff there was so friendly and helpful. They also are very personal, and remember details you told them randomly when booking the evening before. The gym is also to recommend as it a modern and well equipped gym. The spa is not cheap either but you can enjoy different types of massages and treatments.

We were staying at the hotel for two nights only, it was just an incredible time. We've got a great room with the best view of Barcelona and the sea. Service was perfect, we checked in with Natalia, and she was so helpful, and gave us the best room ever. The Dinner at "Fire" was nice too, the food is so tasty and the service is amazing. Can't recall all names but our server was Sergio. Thank you W Barcelona Team, for a great experience!

Oooooh-Sooooo-Peeeerfect!!! The check-in staff who was wearing earrings was absolutely incredible - sorry that I don’t remember your name. But he is the perfect example of what 5-star service is all about. He perfected it at FOUR SEASONS and MANDARIN ORIENTAL levels. Thank you 🙏. Thanks for making our poodle, Dubai feel so welcomed, he loved his suite and his French roasted chicken breast. He ate it all. -Thanks W TEAM. -Thanks to the GM - the impeccable service and value adds were filtered in awesome proportions. -Thanks to the bellmen who offered an umbrella when it rained for me to walk our poodle early in the morning. Great hotel, great location and we had the BEST SUITE with fantastic sea views. Blessed and happy.

I have had two stays with this hotel and I honestly cannot understand why it gets so many great ratings. It's a beautiful hotel, and if you are there to take pictures for Instagram, perhaps this is the hotel for you. But the service and accommodations are more than lacking, and the price is insane. I am an ambassador member with Marriott, meaning that I spend 100 nights a year with their hotels, and I have "lifetime platinum" status, so I have been doing this for more than a decade. And these have been two of the worst experiences I have had. First, the room wasn't ready upon check-in, so they said they would text me (they also knew where I was). They forgot as they did with everyone, and I finally asked many hours later and found out they forgot. Despite my elite status and use of an upgrade certificate, they gave me a room on the 4th floor with the worst view in the hotel. Multiple issues were wrong with the room (the phone wasn't working, an issue with the toilet, the safe was out of batteries, the air conditioning wasn't working, etc) and I spent much of the rest of that day with workers coming into the room. That continued every day, as the air conditioning stopped working multiple times a day. Finally, on the afternoon of the third day of a four-day stay, they admitted they couldn't fix the air conditioning and offered to move me to another room. It was not worth it at this point to pack and move. The wifi was spotty to say the least, and it was completely unusable most of the time (and cellular is non-existent). The key had to be reset every day as well, sometimes multiple times a day. And it wasn't an issue with demagnetization, as the key worked in the elevators and the "electronic key" on my phone also had to be reset repeatedly. Then the day of checkout I find out they completely messed with the reservation and I had to speak to a manager to get this figured out. That was the first apology for all the problems I had received that whole stay. I was here for a conference, so I really didn't have an option of where to stay, but I assumed things would be better than my last stay (which was in August with my family) as October is their low season. It wasn't (I had multiple problems on that stay as well), and if my organization ever chooses to go there again (unlikely after the spate of problems I understand they have had), I will be staying the half mile away at the closest hotel and walking over. With this being one of the most expensive hotels in Barcelona, and an inconvenient location (except for the beach), I am floored that such high ratings occur here. One final note, I just had to submit a request to Marriot as the hotel (despite talking to the manager and being promised it was dealt with) failed to credit my Marriot Account with either the points or nights that I should have received. I note that I did not receive a satisfaction survey (like I normally do), so I have no way of warning Bonvoy members to stay away from the hotel on the Marriot website. Every other hotel I have stayed at in Spain or Barcelona has been fantastic... except the W. So snap your instagram pictures quickly and stay somewhere else.

A beautiful hotel, in a beautiful setting. I was at a conference, which was also superb, but the whole place was great, from the easy check-in, great breakfasts, and other meals. Truly a superb business hotel. Only slight comment would be to have more snack meals available at FIRE. But that really is being picky.. I look forward to being back next year. Recommended to ALL

Arrived at the hotel after a long flight, the Bell boys busy chatting to each other, so unloaded the car myself. Check in OK - No upgrade or status recognition. Absolutely dreadful bar service.....Despite having room details, bill constantly being waived in my face in front of clients to be paid.....Very Poor.. Room Service was OK - Fries cold. Bar Service continued to be poor. Zero change of talking reception due to huge lines. No bill sent, so called and chased - Still charged 25E a day, was told I have to write back for a refund. Over priced and and very very average.
