Uma Suites staff were very helpful, kind and have very good English which started our trip off with a feeling of ease. They allowed us to check in early and gave us advice on how to travel and the best ways of getting places, in our room we were provided with a map and recommendations of where to eat and where the main sightseeing places were. The room is very light and spacious as well as having a very artistic setup. The rooms were very clean and tidy and we had all of the things we needed, our room even had a bottle of white wine included! The open kitchen and front room made it seem like a posh apartment rather than a holiday place. The apartment building was very well kept and safe with a key number needed to get into the building. The only negatives I have are that, the rooms were a bit worn down and in need of some repainting and a few more screws in the bathroom celling as it kept dipping in when the shower had been on. I would recommend asking to have some of the higher floors as the first floor was a bit noisier than the higher floors. Also, due to my lack of research, it wast as central as I had hoped, it was about an hour from the coast when walking and half an hour from shopping central La Rambla. All together, the room was nice and the building was very well kept and safe, the staff were amazing and so so helpful and kind, a very good place to stay when you don’t want to be in the centre of the madness of Barcelona but still want to be close.

Stayed for a weekend in July with my family apartment was nice and well equipped. On our first night the noise from one of the apartments upstairs was terrible (shouting and screaming) so much so that my two young girls were terrified. Children were exhausted the following day which ruined our visit. Brought to the attention of concierge next morning who told me that I should have knocked on apartment door also out of hours number was not answered. Brought it to the attention of management by email whose attitude was nothing short of appalling basically said that we made no complaint and no one else had either. So nice apartment but not suitable for children if your staying at weekends and attitude of management is awful.

Great central location at Carrer de Valencia, 194. Apartment 202 is spacious with 2 double bedrooms and sofa bed in the lounge. Very clean and tidy with free WiFi. Well equipped kitchen with a Nespresso coffee machine! A little tip for using the oven - it will only work if you use the timer (turn the dial). We arrived very early and e-mailed ahead to ask for early check in, which was arranged without any problem. The staff were very helpful. Will definitely book again 😊

We’ve rented apartments in several European cities so many of the complaints sound like they come from inexperienced renters. This apartment has a washer, which is great, and no dryer. This is most common because most folks hang their clothes on a line to dry because of the cost of electricity. It also came with full set of dishes, glasses, utensils, dishwasher, cook ware, espresso machine (2 free pods), toaster, cooktop, oven, microwave, and electric kettle. Plus a bottle of wine. It also had a pack that included dishwasher tabs, washing machine soap tabs, dish soap, sponge, garbage can liner, and reusable towels for cleaning up. If you want salt, pepper, paper towels etc, you will need to walk about 5 minutes to a great super market - Mercat Del Ninot. The office for check in opens at 11 - a drawback when your flight arrives at 7 am. We stashed our bags ( we only do carry on) at a locker rental near Plaça Catalunya and hopped on the HO-HO bus, which gave a great overview and killed 3 hours. By then the office was open, and we were checked in. Two huge beds(and a couch) that were very very comfortable- we slept like babes. Shower is hot and clean (just don’t run kitchen faucet or flush). It is an apartment- so no one cleans up after you and towels need to last the whole stay. I don’t use a clean towel every day at home - if you do, consider a hotel. Location is perfect for bus or walking. Location was perfect for us - mother and daughter traveling alone.

Our family of four stayed for four nights. We were allocated a unit at 35 Rda Universitat. CLEANLINESS - bad. Our feet turn black after taking off our shoes for 2 mins. Informed hotel and asked for cleaning service but no response from them. In the end we have to get cloth to wipe all the flooring ourselves. AMENITIES - moderate. No English instruction on how to operate the washer and dryer as all buttons are in Spanish. Clean towels were provided in all bedrooms. The apartment has quite comprehensive utensils available for use. They also provide detergent for your laundry. The apartment is very spacious. The key to our unit is so thin that it is difficult and painful to use when unlocking the door. We end up using the spare key with is shaped more user friendly. CONDITION - bad. Toilet flush not working. Took them two days to finally get maintenance guy to fix it but flush not working again after use. One of the window has a missing lock so the window cannot be closed due to the wind. The noise from the Main Street downstairs becomes so loud due to the faulty window. Informed hotel when we checked in and they said will fix it. The lock is still not there when we leave the apartment after four nights stay. The sofa condition is bad. The bathtubs are turning rusty. The water pressure in one of the showers is so low which makes it difficult to shower. LOCATION - good. The apartment is located in the heart of town. You can find Macdonalds, KFC, Italian restaurant, burger place just below the apartment. The place is accessible to most shopping outlets on foot. Very convenient. It is also easy to get taxis. CUSTOMER SERVICE - moderate. Accommodate our early check in request but we end up checking in late due to delay at airport. Check in desk staff is friendly. We are only disappointed that our feedback and request for maintenance were not attended to promptly. We have to follow up with few phone calls.
