We decided to make a quick stop in Barcelona on our way to fishing in the Pyrenees. We arrived by train and found it was a short walk from the station. We were met by friendly staff. We had booked a small room with double bed. I think the bathroom was bigger than the area with the bed. It was comfortable for the time we spent (2 night). We had not paid for breakfast but were told we could include for $11US a piece. Because we had arrived late and actually walked back to the train station to eat at McDonalds the evening before and had not gotten a chance to explore we decided to try the breakfast bar. We were very disappointed with the lack of food available. There were several groups staying with young athletes who had gotten there ahead of us who pretty much wiped out the breakfast bar. There appeared to be only two staff working. It definitely was not worth the money. We left to walk the town and found a small out door cafe for both lunch and dinner. Much better in price. Even though I have enough conversational Spanish everyone was accommodating in English. One thing we learner was that most hotels have a feature that your key card turn on and off the lights. You place your key in a slot and the lights come on. You know where your key is and take with you when you leave.

I was expecting more based on the reviews. We asked for two twin beds and the beds, while made up separate, were pushed together like a king. The bathroom shower needed a good cleaning and the water fluctuates from warm to scalding hot throughout the shower. The AC doesn’t properly cool and the room was never cool enough for us in the 100° summer. The breakfast was sparse with only only a few options for 10€. The beds had a sheet and no blankets and when we called the desk to get a blanket, we had to go wait in the line and pick them up ourselves. Overall, it wasn’t a place I would choose to stay at again when I’m sure there are others in the area that are nicer at a similar price.

Clean room, helpful staff. We loved the location because it was away from the tourist traffic, yet close to a Metro stop. Quiet, calm, nice. The room was adequate for our needs. We would stay here again, for sure.

Review collected in partnership with this hotel
My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights in June. The location is good as it is 5 mins walk from Sants station/metro which we ended up using quite a lot as the walk to the main sightseeing locations were at least 30 minutes away (not too bad except when extremely hot). We arrived and it took about 15 minutes to get checked in. No idea why, we were the only ones there. The reception is really nice looking so we had good first impressions bit after a couple of nights we realised a few things...rooms were cleaned very sporadically, the bed was always made but the bathroom was not cleaned for a few days and things like toilet paper were not replenished. There is a bar in the hotel but I am not sure what time it closed as it was always closed when we got back to the hotel (sometimes as early as 10.30pm so I was surprised it was closed). We didn't pay for breakfast at the hotel, we were happy to grab a coffee and croissant on the go from the shop round the corner (called Panet). Really tasty and great prices Overall, it was a great location for the train station but other than that we wouldn't recommend.
