We stayed at the hotel. It's not amazingly decorated but it has everything you need. The only negative thing was that it was really cold when we got there and the bathroom was always freeeeeezing. But to be honest THE OWNER IS SUPER NICE and made up for the cold night, he said that it was a mistake he had...

We were at a family outing and went for lunch. We chose a 15€ menu each. None of us was completely satisfied. The judiones de la Granja were not the best, just ok. THe Sopa Castellana was a bit lame. Cochifrito was dry. Carrillada had a very funny sauce. The pato a la naranja looked just like the carrillada. No...

Good location, clean, good price are all postives about the San Miguel. Parking and the bar crowd were a little difficult. Make sure you have good directions and a good map before tying to drive to the hotel. Narrow one-way streets and restricted access streets make it difficult to find. Our room had a great view onto Calle Infanta Isabel,...

A great place to stay if you're into fun loving crowds and don't come with a car. Parking is not available, so unload your car at Plaza Mayor a schlepp your stuff a short distance. Someone with good walking shoes will have to find a place to park the car. But you're within walking distance of just about everything inportant...

I booked this hotel for one night as a excursion from a break in Madrid. The location was excellent right next to the catherdral. The room was basic but fine for the cash and was a good size. The best thing though was the great service from lovely staff and the EXTREEMLY reasonably priced bar! Great atmosphere and tapas for...

Good shower & bath facilities. Perfect location right on the Plaza Mayor, shops and food. Great bar and tapas in the bar downstairs. Clean and tidy. Not a lot of english spoken.

I emailed this hotel in spanish to be told i had to phone to make a reservation. they don't speak any english, and calling wasn't a great experience as the person i spoke to had no patience for my slow pigeon spanish! i had to say 'mas despacio por favor (slower please) a couple of times' she then wrote my...

Although owners had no english with our pitiful spanish we managed to book a room. Rooms are basic but clean. Very good location - stone throw from cathedral. Could be slightly noisy at night so not good for very light sleepers. Friendly owner but you need a little spanish to get by!
