We drove from Salamanca, stopped to visit Avila, which promises more from afar, before arriving early evening into Segovia. Got utterly lost and suddenly wished I had Sat Nav in my hire car! After help from locals & stopping to ask for directions at another hotel we meandered out of city towards Parador. The view is stunning. It gets even...

This is a modern parador just outside the medieval city of Segovia, with stupendous views from every room of the town and aqueduct. Spotlessly clean, breakfast excellent, lovely pool, children of all ages well tolerated. It was ideal for us( 3 kids aged 6to 10 years). The only downside was that staff had minimal english and as we had minimal Spanish,...

Stayed one night at end of June and really enjoyed it. Helpful staff, adequate room which was clean and pleasant and really great breakfast. Short drive to main town which is beautiful and enjoyed suckling pig at a restaurant just by the aquaduct.

With views of the city from every bedroom, the Parador de Segovia is pefectly situated for a short break. Around 10 minutes' drive from the city itself, the Parador offers that rare combination of tranquility and convenience. The bedrooms are spotless, fairly large and simply furnished with a small balcony offering spectacular views over the cathedral and also the gardens...

Paradors are usually very comfortable and provide little luxuries as well as some disappointments, and Parador de Segovia is no exception. Views across to Segovia are just breath taking and the hotel complex is interesting. A bit of wear and tear is evident, but all is clean and functioning. What was disappointing was the limited hours of the swimming pool...

Unlike most of the Paradores at which we stayed in Northern Spain, this did not start out its life as a convent, palace or other historic building. The building was newly constructed in what felt like 1970s modernity, now seemingly dated compared to other modern architecutre and disappointing compared to the historic sites. The rooms all had decent, but distant...

This Parador is a modern (ish) brick and concrete building with all the atmosphere of a University Hall of Residence. Its furnishing are dated and service is distinctly average. We reported a broken lightbulb in the bathroom as soon as we arrived but it hadn't been replaced when we left. The aircon struggled, and it wasn't particularly warm while we...

The bedrooms are a little basic but clean, tv does have English language channels but you need to go into the digital box menu to switch this option on. View from room and the public areas of Segovia was beautiful. For dining, we took the set menu of dishes from the local area, mainly ok but desert was very good....
