Love staying in hotels which reflect the qualities of the city it's in, and Microtel aptly does so with its stone walls, beautiful period decor and general air of refinement and cultured civility. The breakfast in the cosy room adjoining the jacuzzi is enough to justify a stay here with the carefully chosen crockery, choice of coffee, black or red... More

I selected this hotel because the rate I got online was ok and it was not far from the city centre/main attraction. Rate included breakfast which actually - like in many mid rage hotels in Spain - tends to be miserable. I believe there is room for improvement. My room was facing the street and although they installed good insulating... More

First, the good points: this is a nice hotel, with nice staff. The hotel is pretty and nicely decorated, and in a convenient central part of town. The breakfast is very nice. The price isn't excessive. The down side: the rooms are very small, especially the bathroom. The shower was very cramped. There's nowhere to park anywhere near the hotel.... More

We stayed here with our children and we all loved it. It has a great location so you can walk everywhere. No hotel car park but a nearby car park. Lovely breakfasts, and a great little spa area downstairs with hot tub. Also the bathrooms in the room have jacuzzi style baths. Very nice staff and very child friendly. Highly... More

This is a very nice small "Micro-hotel" with very kind and friendly staff and lovely decorated rooms. Calm. Good breakfast included. Situated in the ery hyper centre of Salamanca but still calm. Jacuzzi.

My boyfriend decided to book a hotel for Valentines day and he could not have picked a better place. The hotel has a GREAT location and is extremely close to all important tourist sites. The room was decent size and the shower had a bathtub which was a plus. The breafast was included with coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice and... More

My wife and I stayed at Microtel Placentinos for two nights recently. We arrived in Salamanca by train from Madrid, and walked from the train station to the hotel. Having never been in Salamanca previously, we had a slight bit of trouble finding it, but after asking a few key questions of locals, we were successful. For first time visitors,... More

Central location and only a short walk to the car park. The room was small but at the price one has to expect this. The bed was only standard double size but I don't think a larger one would have fitted the room. We loved the traditional décor of the room. The receptionists were very friendly and helpful. Our room... More
