the location is very good. But..... the doors were closing very loudly, it was very noisy in the night from nearby pubs, breakfast not bad, but not as the one should be in a 4* hotel, no coffee machine, small bottle of mineral water was additionally charged 2€ without informing......

Hotel location is important when on foot. This meets all the requirements. Close to Plaza Mayor with great views at night on the higher floors. Rooms are of good size and clean. They have been freshly redecorated. Bath rooms need modern and up to date refresh. I had trouble getting hot water in the shower. Lobby and Breakfast room needs... More

The location of the hotel is very good, and within walking distance to major landmarks. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the breakfast good, although the hotel is well kept it looks a little tired. The staff is quite helpful and smiling.

I highly recommend this hotel. Locations is perfect, right in the middle of town, next to the best restaurants (double glazing so noises from street are controlled), staff is extremely friendly, rooms are well appointed, large and nicely functional. Breakfast is excellent, with a bit of everything, including a wide selection of fruit and cold meats.

A friend and I stayed three nights in this ideally located small hotel in the heart of the old town, a short walk from the Plaza Mayor and on the doorstep of a wide selection of restaurants. Our room was large, pleasantly decorated, and spotlessly clean. The breakfast buffet was extensive and good quality. The hotel staff were exceptional: everyone smiled... More

If you're driving, you can park at "parking colon" The sign outside states it's "completo" meaning "full" but we did find a few empty spots. From the parking area it's a 350 metre walk to the hotel (minimal cobble stone paths on the way) slightly up hill. Hotel is nice, clean and staff are really nice. Shower is part of... More

My family & I made a last minute decision to stay in Salamanca overnight. Hotel Rua was where we decided to lay our heads. Hotel location was great! Short walk to Plaza Mayor, cafes & restaurants right on the doorstep. Our rooms were dated, but clean & spacious. Room on the 3rd floor had a small balcony that overlooked the... More

I returned to the Hotel Rua after staying there two years ago. The hotel has maintained standards over this time, and I will try to book here first in the future. It's impossible to imagine a more central location. All of the attractions in central Salamanca are in easy walking distance. The bus and train stations are within 10 minutes... More

Friends of ours recommended this hotel to us after they'd stayed there. We were not disappointed. Arriving late on a Saturday afternoon following a long, hot, sweaty drive all the way from the Basque country en route to Portugal, we received a friendly welcome from the charming guy on reception and were shown to our lovely rooms, overlooking the square/street... I went with my boyfriend and we were delighted by our room and by the bathroom. We were at 1 minute walking from the Plaza Mayor. Breakfast was delicious and had a lot of different things to eat. Only bad side: internet was veeeery bad.
