This is my second stay with the couple who own Molino Galochas and all I can say is stay there, you won't regret it. The food and drink is wonderful and they pick you up from Mazarife, if you phone them. The walk starts from their house the next day, if you are walking the Camino de Santiago. The bedrooms... More

I did not want to leave. Mercedes and Maximo were both so wonderful and welcoming. They couldn't do enough for me after I had walked all day in the heat along the Camino from Leon. Beautiful mill property lovingly restored. The meals (dinner and breakfast ) were chef worthy and made from fresh ingredients straight from their garden. I felt... More

Arrived to a roaring fire, coffee with homemade biscuits and later wine and home-made cheese from the farm. Hosts were so hospitable and the position of the home over the stream made it exceptional. Highly recommend this place.

I walked the 500 mile trek called the Camino Frances. I stayed in many wonderful albergues and casa rurals along the way. Molino Galochas was the best! My friend had walked a long day in the rain. The albergue in town was closed for the season. We were afraid that we would be walking to the next town on weary... More

This wonderful rural cottage has been the highlight so far on our Camino. From the warm inviting welcome to the wonderfully home cooked meals to the incredibly interesting house built over a river reflecting its history as an old mill. The hosts Mercedes and Maximo are both warm, inviting and so very caring.Nothing is a problem to them and they... More

Hosts were generous and kind, willing to accommodate special dietary needs, attention to detail of decor in this rennovated mill. Watch the river flow beneath your feet, relax, and be cared for by Max, Mercedes, and Eva.

What can I say about this place and the host Mercedes, she is so kind and helped me out tremendously with some banking issues I was having. Went above and beyond....so nice to a solo woman walking the Camino.....very comfortable room and bathroom, very clean, great dinner and wine. Highly recommend and would most definitely stay here again.

Mercedes is a fabulous hostess, great welcome, delicious dinner. good coffee at breakfast. The other guests relaxed after dinner in the evening sunshine drinking wine by the river, truly magical experience in this lovely old mill house. The river splashing past our window was a perfect scene to send us to sleep. Don't pass up an opportunity to stay at... More

At first this place was very hard to find, especially after walking the 33kms from Leon in 30 degree heat. But if you walk through the town of Villavante, over the bridge and out of town (follow the Camino path), you will see a timber sign pointing left. Walk for another 200 metres and you will see another sign which... More

The miilhhouse was exceptional, Mercerdes and her husband and family were very welcoming, free drink and snacks on arrival. The rooms were clean and the dinner was really nice - great soup. Can get picked up and when you leave the camino is about 50 meters away, brilliant. Don't miss the chance to stay there.
