Detailed Reviews
The location was the best part of the hotel experience. The room was rather small and dark because the window looked out to a dark alley and was opposite another tall building. The bathroom had a hairdryer and toiletries, including toothbrushes and a razor kit. Unfortunately, the mattresses on our twin beds were too hard to be comfortable. The staff at the reception was friendly. The breakfast was nothing special. Dried-up eggs and bacon that had been cooked earlier and kept under a heat lamp. The coffee was served from a machine and was also disappointing.

Thank you very much for giving us your comments, it always helps us to improve. As for the dark room, there are different types of views that you can select at the time of booking (interior, street or square). Regarding breakfast, we have a buffet breakfast and it is prepared all the same day on the go, in addition to fried and scrambled eggs, there is also bacon, cold meats, cheeses, sweets, a variety of breads, sausages, yogurts, fresh fruit, corn flakes ...... IF the egg was well done to your liking, it was enough to have commented to the waiter and the cook would have prepared another one at the moment. Regards, Tania Alonso

Located opposite a small park in a pedestrian only area, the hotel is a good choice for those wishing a central location with most of the city's attractions and services within walking distance. Entrance is via a shopping arcade and check-in was efficiently completed. Our clean, spacious room overlooked the street with pre-Christmas lights and stalls, yet noise was not an issue. Breakfast was a mixture of cooked options along with a buffet of breads, cereals, fruits and pastries. On one occasion the "hot" option was rather lukewarm. Overall the stay was a positive experience.

Great Value, perfect location close to everything . Very nice room, comfortable bed. Parking is 300 meters and cost 10€ for 24h (the hotel also has a small parking). Cheap breakfast everywhere close to the hotel.

Good location but the breakfast and service of the waiter completely let this hotel down - we paid for breakfast and ordered the English breakfast, the bacon was COLD, the beans was COLD, the sausage was a tinned hot dog sausage which was COLD but the eggs were just warm. The breakfast was served to us so was not sat on a buffet facility where it could get cold.
I did tell the waiter but we didn’t even get an apology and he just walked off so was not impressed and this completely let the hotel down.

Good Morning, We are sorry that you did not enjoy our breakfast, but it is very strange that the breakfast was cold since we prepare it the moment you request it,It is a la carte service. We will ask all the waiters what happened and the kitchen department,, I don't understand why they didn't change it right away and prepare another breakfast for you, the only explanation I can understand is that they didn't understood, for which we reiterate our apologies, as this has never happened before. I enjoyed my stay at the Principe Paz. It was a not too long walk from the bus station and the hotel reception desk is kind of at the rear of an entrance to shops so it looks strange when looking for the hotel entrance.
I had a largish room and from the hall landing when you walk into the room there was the bathroom on right and then a door into the room which should cut down any noise from the hall during the night.
The breakfast was in the pleasant restaurant with a good selection. In the hotel and the staff in the restaurant and reception were friendly and helpful.
The hotel is in a great location for shops, restaurants and transport links and there is a nice plaza opposite to sit in. Would be happy to stay there again.

We stayed in the hotel for two nights. The room is fine, clean and spacious, there is no noise from outside. The hotel is centrally located. However, there is no reliable information on how to get to the hotel by car. The address Calle Valentin Sanz given and entered into the navigation system will definitely not get you to the hotel. The entrance is in the pedestrian zone, which you reach via Plaza del Patriotismo if you park there. We drove in circles around this area of Santa Cruz for about an hour on a Saturday afternoon before we were able to park nearby and walk to the hotel to drop off our suitcases. It is important to know that the reception is located between two entrances to a Benetton store. The entrance to the hotel is not at the given address Calle Valentin Sanz. All attempts to reach the hotel by phone during the search were unsuccessful, as no one answered the phone and you were stuck on an endless hold. This was also the case for other guests at the hotel. (When I checked in at reception, I noticed that the phone was constantly ringing: the employee let it ring without responding!) There was no response to emails sent a few days before asking if a parking space could be reserved. Luckily, however, we were given a parking space when we arrived. The breakfast was very good, the staff friendly and helpful. The information on the website about the location and how to get there should be urgently corrected and described in a more reliable manner; we also heard from other guests that they had a similar problem.

Great location, cleanliness of the room excellent. The room we were allocated is small, but comfortable and the bathroom is large enough. The "courtesy line" set provided also includes toothbrush and toothpaste.
The concierge who welcomed us was very kind and professional

Hotel well located, clean and friendly staff. Just a little dated but okay. I would eliminate bathtubs, with showers, which in my opinion are not very functional and uncomfortable. With a nice reordering would be the top. Mmq promoted.

Obsolete hotel.
No soundproofing.
Shopping center at the entrance to the reception.
Central without parking.
Terrible and expensive breakfast.
They make false invoices, listing a community other than the Canary Islands so that the resident discount does not apply.
Anyway… if you go to Santa Cruz de Tenerife there are many better and cheaper hotels than this one.

A hotel in a strategic position. It's basically at the center of everything and you can enjoy the carnival from your room. The excellent menu. The manager was super friendly. Cleaning and interior level 10. Absolutely to come again. The food was delicious, from the 4th floor you can see the sea. Stairs and marble interiors. Everything in the bathroom.

Yes there is a centralized air conditioning system. You can turn it on and regulate temperature for your room. Since we were there in February we didn't really need ir, I just turn it on for curiosity at one moment. Hence, I can't really tell just how effective is this centralized air-condition system on a summer heat, but it's there.
Don't think they do
Yes, there is a safety deposit box in the room.
