I paid 20 euro/night for a lovely room with balcony. All I could see out of the glass doors of the balcony were gorgeous bouganvilleas (there are two end rooms that I believe have this nice outlook on the 2nd floor). The check in was efficient and the family who runs the hotel are extremely nice. The wifi in the lobby area worked great and there were couches and tables to sit in the lobby.

I think one of the owners helps in cleaning the rooms, so they were super spic and span to the extent that I even felt comfortable to have a bath in the tub. Nice clean, white towels and sheets also.

I ended up leaving an item in the room and came back 5 nights later and they had kept it aside.

The drawbacks of this hotel are the location. It's a really nice location in that it is quiet and a nice area, but it is a bit of a walk to the beach and where most of the restaurants and cafes are. The second drawback was just that sometimes while cleaning the rooms the staff were a bit noisy with their chatting and this sometimes disturbed me if I was sleeping late. Lastly, the mattress on my bed was really soft and covered in plastic, so it wasn't the best bed I have slept in, but for 20 euros, cannot complain.

Other than that, this is exceptional value, really great hospitality, awfully clean.

The staff at this hotel are very friendly and cheerful, but be warned they do not speak English. I did not find the language barrier a problem and even though I clearly did not speak any Spanish, I was not ignored during my stay and the staff did "try" to communicate with me.

I had booked a single room, which was on the first floor. The room was very dark and the lights were very dim. My room was overlooked by the apartments opposite meant that the curtains were mainly left drawn, maybe a net curtain would have helped with providing daylight and privacy.

The bathroom was very clean and there was always plenty of hot water for my showers in the evening.

There is a roomy wardrobe with hangers provided and also a small safe at the bottom, I did not use the safe. I did not have any concerns about the security of room or hotel.

There was no tea making items nor a fridge in the room.
There is a vending machine where you can buy tea, coffee etc,

The beds had a plastic covering under the sheets to protect the mattress, this made laying in the bed uncomfortable, but I got used to it.
There was also no aircon or fan in the room.

There is a daily room service, except for Sundays.

There is a rather old TV, but the remote control did not work, The hotel has free Wi-Fi, but the strongest signal is in the reception area.

There was a bit of noise from the local dogs barking away, but that was not too intrusive. The main noise problem was from the other hotel rooms, the rooms have tiled floors, so people dragging furniture was easily heard. The other annoyance was guests slamming shut their room doors.

There is parking available in the circular cul-de-sac, but you are competing with all the other properties in the area, but in my 10 day stay only once did I have to park some way off.

As already mentioned, it is about a 15min walk downhill to the nearest beach, but the walk back uphill can be challenging, this will depend on your own fitness.

Except for the barking dogs, the hotel is in a very quiet location.

The room was not really suitable to eat meals or keep food in.

I found that the room was just too basic.

I have already written what I think of this little hotel, about 3 weeks ago, and now, to my horror I read that many people say the opposite ....... I want you to know that the owner now is a very friendly family so the hotel is not what some say. The new owners took over in November last year, 2012. try it, you will be happy there - NO SMELLING BEDS, NICE BREAKFAST, AND THE OWNERS ARE VERY, VERY HELPFUL!! // Kerstin, from Sweden

Just came back from 7 night stay at this hotel. We found this hotel very clean and the staff friendly, nothing was too much hassle and what we requested we got! Rooms cleaned on a daily basis just leave your sign on the door. Yes this hotel is up very steep hills but taxis are plentiful and only costs €3-4 . I would definitely stay again but I wouldn’t take the kids it’s just a bit small for them and doesn’t have a bar or entertainment.

Lovely little hotel in quiet cul de sac 10 minutes walk from town. It is very clean, friendly and helpful staff and cheap. A car is a must on Tenerife if only to drive over mount Teide which is awesome and there is street parking available right outside the hotel

Cardboard walls - noise from all areas of hotel. No balcony, window looks out on to wall of next door block (view described as "garden view" by owner - he must mean the 1 inch of hedge @ Base of wall!!) All refreshments supplied by vending machines. Room the size of a double bed. TV in Spanish. Linen changed only after 6 days. Noise from DIY neighbours refurbishing their homes - perhaps in hope of turning into hotel?! Worst thing is GRIM outlook for SUN..... there ain't any in the north, so close to mountain. Just rain, more rain, cloud, drizzle, damp & cold. Oh, & fake ravens perched on balcony of neighbour.'s tenement. ... Is that to scare other ravens off, or to scare hotel residents??? Either way, it worked. Am looking for earliest flight home.....I don't care what it costs!

Stayed here for 3 weeks. More like a hostel than a hotel. No customer care. Window didn't open in bedroom. Took 2 of us to open balcony door. No place to hang clothes to dry, pool freezing, dogs constantly barking, we had breakfast 3 times at an extra cost also very cheap products considering such lovely bakeries and fruit shops near by. No bar after the tough hill back to room. The shop at the end of the road was the best part, where the lovely woman cooled our wine and was so friendly very quirky.

I have spent only a night there in a studio flat, which was simply, but had everything what I exactly needed. The service was excellent, especially the recepcionist was very helpful young lady. The apartment was very clean and the bed was so comfortable, I had great stay there, would come back one day. If you do not have any special expectations for that price, you will be satisfied and happy. Wifi would be nice in the room as well, but no problem.

I'd park at least a mile away at a different hotel. Sorry but it's a dump. I booked out an hour after I booked in without even asking for my money back. Smells of dogs, rooms dark and dinjy, walls filthy where folk have rested their heads on wall because no headboard. Bathroom smaller than an aircraft loo and thin creaky bed. Awful place.
