Detailed Reviews
booked in here for 3 nights after noisy nights up on the hill. The staff were helpful and hard working. we had to book with booking .com to get the room but that was no problem. The bathroom was a littel cramped to say the least but in a good position the bar and restaurant were excellent

Apartments very basic, damp on walls - carpets on landings absolutely dirty - had to sit on toilet side ways as know room with shower in front of you, we were lucky in fact we had own washroom though all other apartments on our floor had to go across landing for there washrooms. Generally ok if you only want room to sleep in, also where situated it is very noisy especially at weekends.
Would not go back I’m afraid to that apartments

Hotel Maga is perfectly located, in the middle of the old part of Puerto de la Cruz. There are lots of shops, bars, restaurants etc around the hotel, and even both beaches are in a walking distance from it, as well as the bus station. The rooms are a little bit worn and shabby, but if you think the price you are paying, you really can not expect for more! Anyhow the rooms are clean and at least mine was quite big, too, with a small balcony. Specially at weekends the noise from the street can be a bit annoying. Service is very friendly both at the hotel and in their restaurant. Maga restaurant serves really tasty Canarian dishes, so do not wait to get fish and chips or any other kind crap for tourists. Even many local people seemed to enjoy Maga´s kitchen. Now if you want to stay at a 5 star hotel and have dinner in a Michelin star restaurant, this is not your place, but if you need a room where you can sleep at night and like fantastic Canarian food, go for Maga. I at least will absolutely repeat!

No warm welcome from owner hotel very dirty plug socket broken and health and safety issue owner obviously doesn’t care about guests getting electrocuted. Rooms dated and in need of an upgrade, mattress must be 50 years old, the most worst sleeping experience I’ve ever had. No fans or AC no kettle, basic is an understatement, bedding disgusting, noise from local disco until 7.00am no sleep for 3 nights, pubic hairs and previous guests hair everywhere

We are currently on our last night in room 308. We have had a lovely stay. The hotel is in a brilliant location and a short walk from the bus station. It is like staying in a family home and we were greeted everytime we came back or left the hotel. We on occasion had drinks in the bar downstairs, which is reasonably priced and the staff are lovely. Our room was basic with everything we needed, the maid cleaned everyday. We would come back to our room and it would smell amazing. One of the beautiful things about Maga Hotel is the roof terrace and lounge which comes off of this. We didn't have a balcony, we certainly didn't need one. We went upstairs and sat on the roof watching the world go by. The views are phenomenal. Thank you for a fabulous stay. All the best.

Carpets very dirty and stained, We are told that it isn't even a one star .Do NOT STAY HERE. The hotel is very centrally located! Many tapas bars and shooping places are within walking distance.
The rooms are basic but clean. Don't expect too much. But for this price there's nothing to complain about.

Amazed to see complaints about this hotel.Yes, the breakfast is basic, but what DO you expect for £11 a night??? Maga is extremely central, literally a couple of minutes to lovely places to sit or spend an evening, everything in P de la C is in walking distance, including the beach. Quite old fashioned furniture, but very clean. Staff were superb, OK they didn't speak much English, but how many English hotel staff speak fluent Spanish?? In the evening sit outside the hotel to eat, before or after going out. I loved it, and will go again.

I don't think i have ever given a "1" rating on TripAdvisor before... that's how awful the food here was. In fact, it wasn't just the food.... the service, the atmosphere, the price.... all awful.
This wasn't just the worst meal I had in Tenerife, it was probably the worst meal I have ever eaten anywhere. To add insult to injury, it was also the most expensive meal we had on our trip!
Despite having no other customers (apart from a group of Germans watching the football) the waitress seemed to be in a mad rush for everything. This included not listening to our order and trying to guess what we wanted instead of letting us finish what we were trying to ask for.
To be honest, I am not sure why we chose to eat at Maga.... it looks unappealing, the menu is unappealing and there were no other real customers... however, we were tired, hungry and it was "right there".
Our "Selection Of Grilled Meat" eventually arrived (along with a plate of soggy chips which we hadn't ordered). For €26 we expected a lot better than a piece of bacon, a sausage, a tough old overcooked steak, a piece of pork that tasted of fish and a slice of chicken. Not only hugely overpriced, but not very nice either.
However, the biggest stunner was the salad. How can you go wrong with a salad? Maga can. It was covered in oil and salt. So much salt, it was inedible.
I honestly can't think of a good thing to say about this place. Easily the worst place I have ever reviewed for TripAdvisor.

The owner of this hotel unfortunately likes to cater more for his friends and family at his restaurant that to be concerned about guests staying in the hotel.
The rooms are sub standard and need updating and lots of money spent on them. Very uncomfortable mattresses which gave me a bad back every morning.

The room I was in didn't have one. They might have one at reception. However, I did notice that there was not always somebody there. So if they did have one and you needed anything from it, there may not be anyone around to get it for you.
Buenos días. ¿La reserva está hecha a nombre de dicha persona?
ola boa tarde, como é o espaço do hotel e se pessoal é simpático.
