Just came back home from here and happy to be home. Out of our window in our room was a lovely brick wall. Couldn’t even see what kind of day it was outside. The room was also right above the kitchen so was noisy until late. They have lovely balconies on the other side in the main building so I suggest the couple of rooms they have tucked away in the corner to make into something else as I can’t see anyone enjoying staying there. Was a big disappointment and spoilt my holiday

My partner and I had second floor room which was basic and a little dated with the minimum of equipment in the small kitchen, no toaster, kettle or microwave. No air con or fan.TV was something out of the 70s. Beds were not the most comfortable and seemed very old also you could hear everything going on in the adjoining rooms. Swimming pool on the roof was freezing and there is a long list of prohibited rules to adhere to. On the plus side the location is great very central also excellent service from the reception staff, very helpful indeed, would I stay again maybe just for 2-3 days because of the price but I think it’s more suited for senior citizens.

I am guessing that this was one of the first hotels ever built in Puerto when tourism first opened up here. A far cry from the 20 storey monstrosities that scar the other end of the town. It shows its age, and it would take way too much investment to bring it back to its former glory. It's a bit dog-eared and it will probably stay that way. You need a sense of humour and accept many of the shortcomings for what they are. Three stars is a stretch of the imagination in my opinion, however, I believe the staff do their very best with what they have to work with. It's not their fault the company does not provide modern flat screen tvs, or fixed the cracks in the tiles or fixed the lifts which are still out of action. None of the rooms have air conditioning. The representative photos are accurate when they show dark furniture, old style televisions etc, so don't expect anything different. Our room overlooking the plaza was spacious, clean and relatively quiet, barring the odd inconsiderate neighbour. Yes there are limited cooking facilities, no kettle or toaster, the toilet does not flush easily, and the shower is a bit eccentric, but with some imagination we managed. It was nice to have a balcony. Great location right in the older part of town, so don't expect sea views, easy parking or dead silence after dark. I would say the rooftop pool is adequate, many sundeds were broken which seemed in keeping with the general standard, but it was clean. Only accessed by stairs, so may be an issue for people with mobility issues. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in what we accept is a good value budget hotel that needs some better maintenance. If your holiday is all about the hotel, you may be disappointed. We weren't, because it's all out there in the surrounding streets which is why we came . We would return to Puerto de la cruz and this hotel, no problem.

We looked for a place to rest and enjoy the few free days we have and we found a very old-fashioned room, with a LOT of dirt, and a plague of mosquitoes that plagued us throughout the night and part of the next morning, there they changed our rooms. room and although this one seemed to be cleaner, we woke up with new bites, but this time from fleas.

I was in the apartment with my girlfriend for 3 weeks. We arrived late (11 p.m.), but check-in was no problem. We were surprised by the spacious room, bathroom and extensive kitchen with refrigerator. The staff (receptionists, cleaners, technician) were friendly and helpful, but the lifeguard José-Augustin took the cake. He made sure that sunbeds were ready every day and brought everyone a mattress and possibly a parasol. The clear blue pool was more than refreshing and the sun was radiant. The accommodation is not new and modern, but more of an old Spanish style with lots of wood. If something was wrong, it was immediately remedied. We thought it was an excellent accommodation for the price. Moreover, located in the old part of Puerto de la Cruz with numerous restaurants, cafes and shops. Always music and a good atmosphere. And within walking distance of the harbour, the long boulevard and the beaches. With a rechargeable bus card (tarjeta) you can make nice cheap trips. Good clean hotel . Does what it says, budget hotel . Yes there are slight faults but you get what you pay for . Limited cooking facilities,but you have enough to knock up a sandwich cup of tea/coffee,pans supplied for the more adventurous.no kettle but you can get one at reception.safe deposit box again reception,extra blankets reception.nothing is too much for the staff just ask ,always polite and friendly. Beds a bit hard , but again you get mattress tops from reception .rooms cleaned every day sheets once a week ,towels every other day . One word of warning if booking and you want a sit-out balcony ask for a room with terrace, we upgraded with travel agent to a balcony room and you can just about stand on it , rooms with larger balcony seem to go quickly,but that was no fault of hotel . Again it’s a well situated budget hotel . Would definitely stay again.👍
