The AluaSoul Orotava Valley hotel garners praise for its spacious and pristine rooms equipped with cozy beds and impressive views, though a few guests suggest updates are due. Nestled on a hillside, the location offers tranquility and scenic vistas, but the trek to the beach and town can be demanding for some.
Guests appreciate the serene pool, diverse amenities, and the shuttle service that enhances convenience. The welcoming ambiance, enhanced by live music, and the commendable staff contribute to a positive experience, even as opinions on the hotel's value and entertainment options vary.

Detailed Reviews
The location of the hotel is quite remote but we knew this before arriving so we where prepared ...the location of the hotel was also gorgeous and close to the beach
The food was quite basic and definitely not four star worthy and meal times also ends quite early at about 9:30pm which wouldn't have been so much of an issue if there where lots of restaurants locally open late -but there isn't so sometimes if we returned late in the evening from an excursion, figuring out what to eat could be an issue.
Drinks and cocktails do go on until about 11:30 at the lobby bar if you're on all inclusive package
The staff there are quite nice and rather approachable
The rooms where cleaned daily but the cleaners had a tendency to just open the door unannounced which was a bit of a shock. Our room was very very spacious and very pretty and the bathroom was large and comfortable but the two single beds pushed together was ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE and the beds shifting in the middle consistently interrupted my sleep, the hotel needs to address this and offer a double bed option especially because the hotel is supposed to be "adults only" and the majority of guest are couples and if I'm honest despite the rest of the stay being pretty good , the beds situation is enough of a reason for me to possibly not return.

With my wife we decided to spend our honeymoon in Tenerife so we picked this hotel as it was close the to the beach and also to the Loro Park, as we enjoy visiting Zoos. The downtown is not that far either. The location is just a bit remote and is so nicely quiet, with roosters you can hear around and the beautiful trees and the view of the downtown.
The hotel is very clean and everything well refurbished/renewed. We had an all-inclusive so we enjoyed very nice meals on our stay.
An improvement that could be done, as we had all-inclusive, the hotel could offer bottled water in the room (especially when the tap water is not drinkable).
We did have however drinks at the cocktail bar or the pool bar, and the staff was always very nice and helpful.
We definitely enjoyed our stay!

Spend 4 nights in February , Food was good we was happy with that. Time for breakfast very good. Room furniture can be changed as looks very old for a 4 star hotel in special. Same staff do not speak any English considering that more than 5 millions English speakers visit tenerife every year. Play area also need same improvements and pool was out of service so we cannot rate that. very close to Loro parque and city center. Good location

+1
I understand this hotel has been recently decorated but it was done very badly. It looks incredibly cheap and tacky with lots of areas already falling apart or not touched at all. Decor is very basic with no single taught behind. No recycling around.
I was given “suite” 4019 with a very sad looking balcony with a rotten staircase. Corridors leading to the rooms looked so institutional and depressing that I wanted to run away from there.
Food. I have never come across that with the half board option you are not allowed to drink anything but WATER (not even a tea or coffee) at dinner!!! Such a disgrace. Choice of food was absolutely appalling with almost non existent hot dishes. there was no heated up trays for foods such as chips, pizza (it was precooked) or potatoes so you ended up eating cold, tasteless food. If there were any hot meats they were never cooked properly and served raw inside. Absolutely shocking experience. Dirty table clothes. Only one glass/mug/set of cutlery on a table like they did not want people to have a second serving. So everybody ended up nicking ones from the next table. How they are not embarrassed. The member of staff at the reception named Michael / Michel was the rudest person I have ever encountered, when I wanted to change the room as it looked like a hole he would not have any of it sarcastically telling me adios adios. Avoid that cesspit of accommodation!

The location as many have said is up a steep hill but this makes for beautiful views at the pool, in the reception area and if you have a sea view as we did.
The food was fresh every day, loved that they arranged for some food for us as they new we were arriving late in the day.
We enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner and although AI took the decision to eat out one night for some variety.
All staff were fab but Jorge and Alberto went the extra mile with their service and smiles.

The hotel was really great. We were warmly welcomed by a gentleman who spoke German fluently. The entrance area looks inviting and is clean. Our room was also clean and modern. The WiFi was a bit slow at times. The bathroom was large and equipped with a toilet, sink and rain shower. There was also another toilet with a sink.
In the living room there was a comfortable couch with TV and access to the large balcony. There was also a TV in the bedroom.
The breakfast was plentiful, there was something for everyone. Fresh fried eggs, scrambled eggs according to your own ideas and pancakes were prepared straight away. There were also various rolls, bread, a large selection of sausages, cheese and fruit.
What was annoying was that all machines work with tap water, which in Tenerife is mixed with chemicals for cleaning purposes. There are often heavy lime stains on the plates, which is sometimes unappetizing.
Freshly squeezed orange juice could be purchased for an additional charge.
The pool was clean, the pool bar was also great.👍
The service was great. The staff was always friendly and always available. What was also very positive was the bus, which transported hotel guests to and from the city several times a day free of charge.
The location overlooking the sea is great. The stairs at the hotel take you quickly to the beach on foot. The disadvantage of the room's location facing the beach is that it sometimes gets noisy at night due to the sound from other hotels, which in my opinion is bearable considering the view. A real recommendation, especially for couples.
The hotel is child-free.
Conclusion: Price performance is optimal. I felt super comfortable and definitely recommend the hotel.

From the minute we walked into the hotel we felt we were treating ourselves, we were met by a member of staff who had two glasses of Prosecco for us even although we arrived late at 12 pm what a treat ! We were also told that two cold platters had been set aside for us to eat too.
Upon entering our room we were delighted to see a bottle of Prosecco was waiting for us and the room itself was just perfect. We were glad we upgraded to My Favourite Club as this added to our experience, we loved the reserved suneds each day at the pool and being able to access the lovely lounge for fresh coffee and snacks in the afternoon. The staff at this hotel were the best we had encountered, nothing was a bother and they were always to lovely and friendly every day.
We will definitely be back and would highly recommend this hotel it should definitely be 5 star instead of 4. Thank you to everyone who made our holiday extra special.

The overall stay at this hotel was just ok. Most of the staff are wonderful, especially Ana (i hope that's her name.. the short blonde lady in charge of entertainment and just the general lobby area) The room was bigger than expected, decorated quiet nicely which a view of a pretty tree, the mountains and some far away cluster of houses. The room did have a dirty sewage smell.. room 8027 especially in the bathroom, you can smell the drain the whole time you are in there. My sister and I saw faint brownish water marks running down the walls and door only to realise that whenever the room upstairs takes a shower.. a lot of that water leaks through the door frame and into our room. We realised this was an old problem, we noticed there were coats of fresh paint where the water was leaking meaning they probably painted over the wet marks and mould... rather than actually deal with the issue. When we informed the reception staff they just confrimed that it was a known issue but did nothing. We did have a leak in the room for the remainder of the holiday so had to keep placing down towels on the floor to soak up the guests up stairs bath water......... The hotel isn't in the best of conditions, but its comfy enough, on sundays during bingo night the lobby area REEKS of alcohol but the drinks for ALL INCLUSIVE guests have no alcohol... not that it's a little, there was NONE in there. I watched him make me a "strawberry daiquiri" without any spirits, strawberry liqueur or syrup.. he put ice, water down juice and lemon juice into the blender and poured it into the glass - oh wells i guess. The food selections isn't huge. The only reason i don't give them a terrible review is because the staff were nice enough to make you over look to errors. Overall - the stay wasn't bad, everyone seems friendly, the entertainment is nice but the tourists are boring and don't get up or get involved. The location is a bit annoying because they're on a bit of a steep hill, so if you're walking to places get ready to go up a steep hill for like 10 minutes. If you're a person of colour... specially black, don't bother, you'll be stared at by the guests like an animal. The other tourists here are elderly retired whites or middle aged snobs who think they owe the little land they stand on. oh - They charge you for the towels - a cheeky 10 euros that they may or may not give back. The fresh juices are 2 extra euros so you have to just use the machine juice which was looking weird

The staff are a bit rude sometimes, the food at the buffet in the morning, at lunchtime/evening is always cold and not very varied. The cleaner adjusted the air conditioning two days before we left and turned it off completely, so that the rest of the time we had 25/26 °C in the room. She also didn't make the bed and left the windows open all day long during the hot day. A few times in the days before I even found ants, which I then removed myself. When I asked for a second blanket at reception, nothing happened. The drinks in the bar are good though, and so is the food at the pool bar. It's not far to the beach and you can borrow towels for the pool/beach against a deposit.
The rooms are big and nice, all the other cleaners did a good job (everything was cleaned very quickly and thoroughly), but all in all I would have expected more and above all more politeness, better food and better service. If we are back in Tenerife, it will certainly not be at this hotel.

After initial difficulties with the room on the 1st floor, where the walls were damp, we were given a really nice room on the 6th floor and were completely satisfied. The hotel is high up but that's not a problem thanks to the hotel shuttle, which runs to and from the city several times a day. Loro Park is within walking distance.
The hotel as a whole is very nicely furnished, with plenty of comfortable seating. The rooms were cleaned properly every day and the staff, apart from a small, older waiter at the pool bar, were very friendly. The food was good and I think there was something for everyone so that no one came home emaciated. The drinks, we had all-inclusive, were also very good. The pool and everything that goes with it wasn't huge but very clean and tidy, with comfortable loungers and a well-stocked pool bar where you could also get snacks. So all in all, a successful holiday. We would definitely go to this hotel again.
