Pros: - the hotel has been newly refurbished. The rooms are spacious and decorated nicely. Lovely lobby area. - very clean. The room was cleaned daily. - comfy large bed - friendly staff, especially the activities coordinators and cleaning staff. - plenty of sun beds. Decent pool at a good temperature. - easy walk down to the beach within 10-15mins. - adults only and very peaceful. Cons: - our main issue with the hotel was the food. We went half board. Breakfast was fine and had reasonable choice. However dinner was very poor quality ,cheap ingredients and just poorly cooked. I’m not a fussy person and I love to eat but I struggled to find things I wanted to eat. Even simple dishes such as Spanish tortilla were dry and bland. Food was always very tepid in temperature. There is a microwave but it was annoying to use that at every dinner time. If you’re not too fussed about food and get a good deal for your stay then you will be satisfied enough but I have stayed at other all inclusive type 4 star hotels and had much better food than this. Perhaps consider bed and breakfast only and go into the town to eat dinner. - as we were half board, drinks are not included at dinner, which we were made aware of, however my husband was not even allowed to purchase a beer in the bar and bring it down with him to dinner. On one occasion he did this a member of staff asked us for our room number as if we were helping ourselves when he had paid for the drink. I did not see any signs anywhere saying you cannot bring a drink from the bar. And if you’re not allowed what is the alternative ? They do not offer a solution to this. There is no one to take drinks orders for half board clients so we were expected to just have a water with our meal it would seem. I saw quite a few people getting confused with this and some people were helping themselves to the all inclusive drinks. They need a better system in place for managing this issue, as it was rather embarrassing being questioned.

Hotel's Favorite
From the minute we entered the hotel to the time of our departure our stay was fantastic. As a family we had two rooms which were newly refurbished to an exceptionally high standard. We had the all inclusive package which was well worth it. The food at breakfast lunch and dinner was first class with a great choice. Very relaxed atmosphere as adults only. Great pool and bar area too. All staff very friendly. Hotel is in a good location less than a 10 minute walk down to the beaches. Highly recommend and would stay again. Evening entertainment was varied and good quality. We were also able to extend our check out time which really helped out with our transfer times. Even though it was April we had lots of sunshine!

Room was lovely and very comfortable bed. The buffet food was excellent although I would have like to see a list of ingredients and allergens for those like me who are coeliac. The chefs in the kitchen was going the extra mile by preparing something for me. Also I would love to mention one particular waiter named Jenaro who was simply the most attentive and caring person who was making sure I was having a gluten free cake and a gluten free beer with all my meals while others couldn’t be bother, one lady got me a 0% alcool free beer one evening cause she couldn’t find a gf one which show very little knowledge about the difference and what that can do if you have coeliac disease. Jenaro made my experience at the restaurant a very pleasant one, despite my limitation on food he made sure I was looked after. The entertainment was not the best especially in the evening, I would I like to see more activities by the pool, games etc. Overall a nice experience for a week of relaxation.

A great find, came here for 11 nights and we were not disappointed. The hotel is on a hill but there is a shortcut lower down on the hill. The staff were brilliant, the pool was amazing, not to shallow. The food was hit and miss but mostly a hit for us, the puddings were a delight every night something different The drinks were nice, cocktails very nice You are out of the way of most things but a quick taxi ride and your in the town Right next to the animal embassy which is amazing The only down but was that the air con unit was leaking all the time. We were then told that we couldn’t use it for long periods of time which wasn’t good as it was hot Also it was two twin beds pushed into one so when cuddled up the beds would move and wake us up Other than that it was a great holiday and I would recommend it to people who would like to get out the way

Lovely hotel, definitely the nicest we saw in the area. Easy walk to the beach and bars! The Andana is a club on Saturday evenings and that’s really fun if you like that. My friend and I did breakfast and supper included but you do have to pay for water and drinks. Pool lovely. Rooms cleaned every day. The air con doesn’t go below 20*c so we just left it on during the day and closed all windows. Lovely staff and fun activities to do in the pool that are put on by the staff. Drinks were a good price. We arrived late and they had saved supper for us when we got there! Loved our stay! Thank you

Just got back from a stay at this lovely hotel. Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. At home we have a rather expensive, supportive, comfortable bed. The bed was equal if not better than our own. The staff friendly and helpful. Plenty of room round the pool. We had a bed and breakfast stay. Breakfast choices were excellent. We would get a taxi which are cheap into the centre of an evening and choose from one of the many restaurants where to eat. The hotel is on a hill, not too far from the beach to walk. If you get the hotel lift from the pool (level 4) down to level 0. It does bring you out further down the hill to cut off some of the climb! You will need your bedroom key card with you to access the door to get back in though! Ana (I think her name was) The entertainment lady worked so hard and was vey enthusiastic, encouraging guests to participate in one of the many activities around the pool or in the bar of an evening. She started at 10am and finished 11pm 6 days a week! Well done to her! I did do yoga a couple of mornings in the shade by the pool. First time it was just me and her! She has some mats, just half hour stretch class, lovely after travelling, second time there were just 3 of us!! We went out most days so werent around too much till after dinner drinks in the bar. I would recommend visiting the Botanical gardens and the Orchid gardens, beautiful, also a little respite from the hot sun. All in all a wonderful time.

We have just returned from a week here with our close friends and have had a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday. After reading some of the mixed reviews, we decided to upgrade our room to the Club Suite. We had no idea until we arrived the all inclusive extras that were afforded to us by booking ‘Club’. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. All I can say is that the hotel management must have listened to the reviews and acted on some of the comments. We spoke to other holiday makers who did not have a club suite and they also received free water and Wi-Fi with their rooms. Nobody was refused to go back to the buffet (at least not what we saw). The food was plentiful and varied (maybe not so varied if your vegetarian). We had lunch at the poolside and even tea and cake. The staff work incredibly hard and long days and most remained happy throughout. The hotel is huge! The hotel is staggered levels and there can be quite a walk to get to various areas. The corridors are vast and takes a while to reach one end to the other depending on where you are heading but they have tried to break up the areas with chairs. There has clearly been a massive refurbishment and it shows where the money has been spent. Our club suite overlooked the ocean. It was spacious with a balcony, separate lounge area with desk and TV and another TV in the bedroom (not that we watched it). A stocked mini fridge, bubbly on arrival and water topped up daily. Shower gel, shampoo & conditioner, hand wash and hand sanitiser provided. We also had robes and slippers. Tea and coffee facilities were also provided. Our bed (2 singles pushed together) were very firm and comfortable. Pillows were equally comfy. Our bed was turned down each evening with a chocolate left (not necessarily needed but appreciated). We hadn’t realised that ‘Club’ meant we had ‘my favourite club’ wristbands which afforded us little extras like bottled beer, Separate areas to eat in the restaurant with fabric upholstered chairs and table cloths (to be honest we were quite happy eating wherever we could sit in a four). We didn’t particularly want to be segregated. The same happened in the bar area where we had a separate area decided by a barrier. To be honest we felt the barrier unnecessary as felt as if we were being elitest. So we sat with everyone else where we could. However, this might be a requirement with others. I do think that the ‘club’ membership needs to be explained more to potential guests and what is included with that level of booking or indeed any booking as we found it incredibly hard to find out what the different choices were. This includes the tour operators, as the information they provided differed to what the hotel had, including misleading activities. Couldn’t find a gift shop, no tennis and archery is by the pool with suckered arrows. The pool area is lovely but relatively small. It was mostly quiet and so very relaxing without children and youngsters. We’ve nothing against families but we’ve been there and done it. There is also an additional small shallow pool on the floor below, which must have previously the childrens pool. There are activities laid on daily if that’s what you like. Again we had reserved sun loungers with towels, which we only found out when we checked in but this was definitely a highlight for us. We do feel however that if the sun beds are not being used by club residents then anyone should be able to use them. It was quite embarrassing to see people turned away when there were spare loungers. Some people left the pool area because of this, when there was no need. Perhaps, the loungers could be used with a proviso that they may be asked to move if a ‘club’ guest arrived. With regards to the all inclusive bit, we certainly consider to have had all inclusive. We could have paid to have ‘premium’ spirits but we chose to try within the selection offered. Admittedly the cocktails were not spectacular unless you paid but I can live with that. We found Larious gin which was lovely and Honey Rum (yum!). As a club member we were also invited to the A La Carte restaurant - Nubium. During our stay it was only open on Friday evenings and must be pre-booked. We were invited there for a 7 course taster menu evening. We had no idea that this was included as being part of the ‘club’. However, the food was outstanding and we would have happily paid for the meal. One of our party is a vegetarian and informed the reception staff, she was then provided with a vegetarian version of the set meal. It would have been nice for her to know what she was eating though as no menu was offered, unlike the main menu. All I would say about this restaurant is that it is not advertised enough, I’m guessing because it’s not up and running properly yet. Our waiter was very welcoming and smiley (you can read a smile no matter what nationality). One suggestion I would make is being able to offer feedback on the experience. It was delicious but when we had finished our meal, no staff were around and we just got up and left. We did leave a tip but it would have been nice to offer something more verbal, particularly when a lot of time and effort had gone into preparing and cooking the dishes. We took advantage of the free shuttle bus to town which was great (don’t forget your mask). There is a mini market nearby and many things within walking distance including Loro park (zoo) which was amazing and the town although hilly isn’t horrendous to get to or from. All in all we had a fabulous week and couldn’t have asked for anymore. Our upgrade was more than worth it. Thankyou to all the extremely hardworking staff. Special thanks to Anna, with her infectious personality and laugh who co-ordinated many of the activities. She encouraged people to join in without being pushy and was full of fun. So go for it and see for yourselves. I think the hotel will continue to go from strength to strength.

The location of the hotel is quite remote but we knew this before arriving so we where prepared ...the location of the hotel was also gorgeous and close to the beach The food was quite basic and definitely not four star worthy and meal times also ends quite early at about 9:30pm which wouldn't have been so much of an issue if there where lots of restaurants locally open late -but there isn't so sometimes if we returned late in the evening from an excursion, figuring out what to eat could be an issue. Drinks and cocktails do go on until about 11:30 at the lobby bar if you're on all inclusive package The staff there are quite nice and rather approachable The rooms where cleaned daily but the cleaners had a tendency to just open the door unannounced which was a bit of a shock. Our room was very very spacious and very pretty and the bathroom was large and comfortable but the two single beds pushed together was ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE and the beds shifting in the middle consistently interrupted my sleep, the hotel needs to address this and offer a double bed option especially because the hotel is supposed to be "adults only" and the majority of guest are couples and if I'm honest despite the rest of the stay being pretty good , the beds situation is enough of a reason for me to possibly not return.

Room , pool and hotel it’s self was very clean and tidy very nice. Food was average always the same thing. Don’t bother paying for all inclusive because you can’t go back for more food and most drinks are an extra fee and you have to pay after a certain time considering we’ve already paid for all inclusive…… Most staff were lovely especially the Entertainment lady and Alberto. 1 member of staff removed us from the restaurant Infront of everyone else who was dining. Will not be returning until the all inclusive actually is all inclusive ……

Dear Chris, thank you for your comment. Our all inclusive offers all meals plus snacks at the pool bar. All drinks are included in the price until 11pm, including cocktails. The alcoholic beverages are national drinks, for branded drinks you have to pay a surcharge, as in many hotels. Depending on the turoperator, the board package can be changed on site. With my wife we decided to spend our honeymoon in Tenerife so we picked this hotel as it was close the to the beach and also to the Loro Park, as we enjoy visiting Zoos. The downtown is not that far either. The location is just a bit remote and is so nicely quiet, with roosters you can hear around and the beautiful trees and the view of the downtown. The hotel is very clean and everything well refurbished/renewed. We had an all-inclusive so we enjoyed very nice meals on our stay. An improvement that could be done, as we had all-inclusive, the hotel could offer bottled water in the room (especially when the tap water is not drinkable). We did have however drinks at the cocktail bar or the pool bar, and the staff was always very nice and helpful. We definitely enjoyed our stay!
