We booked this place through sunshine holidays and was very disappointed in the place. We like to go self catering so that we can cook a Christmas dinner while we are away. This didn't happen because the cooker didn't work, nor did our friends who were in the room next door. The fridge either froze the milk /water or if you turned the thermostat down it leaked everywhere. The rusty microwave was the size of a shoe box and situated on a bracket which was uneven so anything you put into it spilled. it took 10 minutes to heat two cups of water. The beds are rock hard, 1950's hospital beds come to mind. The bathroom! Circa 1970 with is dusky brown/pink suite and mouldy shower curtain was depressing to bathe in. We asked to be moved but the lady in reception wasn't very accomodating. My friend next door had only one plug socket in their room. The lighting in both rooms was bismal and depressing. The cleaners were the only positive thing, they work hard to keep the place clean but term polishing a turd comes to mind.…

Myself (Dad), My Daughter (16) and my Son 10 stayed at the apartments July (straight after shutdown. The whole idea was to have a cheap and cheerful holiday following months of furlough. The receptionist was very polite and helpful. The rooms had no air-conditioning which I was pleased about (Virus) at first but we had to leave the balcony doors open due to the heat. Because we were right next to the Plaza Del Charco we could hear all the noise of the people on a night time and the lorries in the early the morning. It caused a little unrest with the kids. My Daughter and Son complained to me about how hard the beds were but I felt they were okay. The Bathroom floor is extremely slippery when wet. We went room only and were told the breakfast was 6 Euros but we ate out every day. The night before we were due to leave we were told to move rooms because there was no water. We moved to another room with no balcony and a serious lack of privacy. Folks could look into the room from outside from overlooking rooms. This may sound negative but its not meant to be. We wanted a cheap and cheerful holiday and we had one. We would happily stay here again if I were on a tight budget but not if I wasn't!…

We enjoy staying here. This time we were located in the annex Hotel Tropical. Room was clean, well equipped and the room cleaning etc first class. Location is exceptional. Parking can be a problem but it is all over Puerto. Staff are excellent. Highly recommended

This place offered everything we expected of this price. The interior was a bit outdated but everything was working, the staff were nice and the place felt safe. Small negative things are that because of the central location there is lot of noise from outside (I used earplugs, but my partner didn't need them though). The beds were rather hard, no air condition. Kitchen is small and is missing some basic kitchen tools. A great bonus is the rooftop pool area with great views.

Pictures on website look slightly different compare to reality. Room good size with balcony. Kitchen need full update oven was falling down to one side microwave 1980. This place need full renovation and new deco. Bathroom sink toilet bath brown colour also that deco need good upgrade 1970-1980. New things is good in city centre great location because everywhere is close to go. Management really need to think how to improved the deco and standard of that place.

This is a budget hotel but it is spotless great staff and great location. Yes it is dated but look at how much you pay are you going to be in your room a lot (if you are why both going). The staff where really nice very helpful. I sent an email to see if they would buy us a bottle of wine as we where arriving late and it wasn't a problem also asked for a high floor (it's on a busy road) got that as well. Can't wait to go back.

The hotel itself is typical for a low budget...basic tired rooms etc.The problem we found with this hotel,was the set up for meals.We were full board.A buffet style breakfast was served in the restaurant on the premises..but for lunch and dinner we were taken by van to another hotel.We had to book the time to go and one day had to wait a long time while the driver was on the phone.We were the only two people who had this as most guests must have been b&b.When we got to the other hotel they were not always prepared for us and sometimes at lunch had to cook a meal especially for us...in the end we got a bit fed up with the situation and ended up cooking in our room...we got permission to take food from breakfast so we didn,t have to buy so much! On the plus side most of the staff were friendly..and the hotel was central..…

When I read the reviews I was really scared about what to find, but surprise.. the room was clean no insects luckily!! Staff was friendly Food wasn’t the most, but I could’nt expect much from a 2 star hotel🤷🏽♀️, even if I had a really nice paella It was really well located close to the center. I suggest it if you don’t want to spend a lot.

Centrally situated just off Plaza Charco, the Park Plaza and adjoining Tropical Apartments are perfect for accessing the lively town centre attractions and restaurants. Our room was located in the Tropical building and was basic but clean with a little 'kitchen' concealed behind wooden doors and a generous bathroom with a shower and bidet. Bottled water is available from reception as are additional pillows and a kettle. Our room was situated on the fourth floor and had a little balcony and a distant view of the sea. There is a small pool and sunbathing terrace in the roof and a cafeteria serving breakfast, lunch and dinner on the ground floor. We had a perfectly adequate buffet breakfast there for five euros but they also can arrange a picnic if given notice. The staff are very pleasant and very helpful, particularly the receptionist. All this being said, it is impossible to review this location without mentioning the noise. It is surrounded on both sides by streets and there is a considerable volume of noise comes up from particularly the restaurant on the corner which has music and singer until late. There is then a lot of noise and disturbance when closing followed by the council workers who diligently pressure wash the plaza and surrounding area in the very early morning and collect the rubbish. Peaceful it is not. Earplugs are ineffectual and after two sleepless nights we indicated we were leaving. The receptionist was very understanding and very kindly helped us choose alternative accommodation at another hotel owned by the group, even arranging a taxi to take us and our luggage there. The Park Plaza and Tropical will suit those on a budget wanting to engage with the night life of Puerto de la Cruz however those preferring more conservative hours might like to consider a quieter location. …

Extended my one week stay twice as this hotel is located perfectly in the centre of puerto de la cruz. The staff are all extremely professional, helpful and friendly. The rooms, bright and always clean. The roof top swimming pool is an added bonus. I am a frequent visitor to puerto de la cruz and will be definitely booking again. Nothing can beat the location and friendliness
