Firstly I want to say i have spent around fifty years taking holidays abroad and have stayed everywhere from self catering apartments to five star all inclusive resorts so I know what i'm talking about. The Noelia is a three star hotel and is very good value for money. The staff from reception right through to the cleaners are friendly and efficient, the whole hotel is spotlessly clean,(not one single bug) the lifts are excellent, the pool area on the roof with excellent views is really lovely, sunbeds are comfortable, pool is 1.28 metres deep which is just right for a 5 foot 2 non swimmer !!Lifeguard on duty all the time. It lacks a pool bar but there is a vending machine for soft drinks, chocolate etc and you can always get your drink at the lobby bar and take it up.Pool towels rather thin. I can't comment on lunch or dinner because we were B&B but breakfast was very good, all the continental, rolls, pastries ,yoghurt, pancakes, cereals, fresh fruit as well as all the ingredients for a full English if that's your taste.I have read complaints about vegetables on the breakfast buffet, duh !!! International clientele, because you don't want it doesn't mean others won't and there was nothing lacking to make way for them. Bedrooms slightly old fashioned but beds very comfortable, rooms at the back can hear sports going on at the local gymnasium but it's a convenient city centre location so it's a trade off, wardrobe a bit small . Bathroom has bath and shower with a safety mat provided. Least said about the "entertainment' the better but I have found this to be the norm in most hotels, but there is a games room with pool tables etc. As I said good value in beautiful Puerto de la Cruz

This hotel is located north of the island, we came for my 30th Birthday where we were greeted by a really friendly person on the desk called Antonio who explained to us that we needed to select a time for our breakfast, lunch and dinner. This hotel has free Wi-Fi, which you won’t get any on the roof which is understandable. Nor will you get any by the gift shop. The hotel is very very clean hats off to them. The rooms were clean and the air on is very good. Sadly the hotel is next to a gym? Or basketball court but left side of the hotel you will be facing that building wall if you’re on the second to fifth floor. The hotel is very close to a shop and bus station. Great location as the beach isn’t that far but quite hilly on the way back which my mother struggled. Sadly the food in the hotel is very basic at best nothing special and not that tasty sadly and if you’re all inclusive at you need a drink you’re waiting around 10 mins while the staff at the bar are in the restaurant and the drinks are okay if you’re a soft drink they either give you a glass bottle or a flat drink from a big bottle. They go easy on the alcohol which will blow your head off. Also the hotel isn’t far from the zoo which was great everything else was in the south of the island which took 2-3 hours to get too by coach. So yea great located hotel, very basic poor selection of food, okay drinks, great service from
The desk staff and very clean hotel.

Also
Thank you again to lupa our brilliant cleaner and Antonio

This hotel is located just a short walk to the beach. It is also very near the bus station, if you want to explore further. It is perfectly adequate accomodation, the room was a good size and had fridge, kettle and cooking rings. There was a sofa, and table with two chairs, as well as a comfortable bed. It was a little cold at night, but there were blankets in the room

Location: Excellent Puerto de La cruz is positioned on a steep slope descending to the sea with the main tourist areas being 3 beaches to the SW and the old town and Lido to the NE. The Noelia is conveniently located between the two, and not too far up the hill.

Staff: Excellent. Everyone here from the management down to the army of cleaners work efficiently, cheerfully and are always very helpful .

Cleanliness: Excellent. The aforementioned "army" of cleaners seem to work tirelessly around the clock keeping both private and public areas of the hotel spotlessly clean.

Food: Excellent. We are staying here half board. The breakfasts and evening meals are both buffet style, so no waiting around. The food at both mealtimes is varied, plentiful and generally very good quality. The breakfast bacon is very good, and the veal stew (evening option) is the best i have ever had - and I used to work in catering including at a Michelin starred restaurant !

Rooms: Very Good. We are staying in room 602 but I believe that all are very similar. Ours is spacious with a Queen sized bed (2 singles with a large mattress atop) plus a dayroom, plus a kitchenette plus a large balcony with sea view and an adequate bathroom with bath and shower. Our room is cleaned and re-equipped to a high standard daily even though we do not ask for it.

Conclusion: We are reluctantly leaving tomorrow after 9 days here and frankly cannot recommend it highly enough.

Thank you to the management, cleaning staff, helpful receptionists and hard working kitchen/restaurant staff for making our stay so enjoyable. We hope to return soon

Have just returned from staying in this hotel. We really enjoyed our stay. Hotel has its own mini market which is very handy. The rooms were spacious and had everything you could possibly want including cooking facilities, although we were half board so the kettle was all we used. Every part of this hotel is spotlessly clean. Pool area is on the roof and this one is easily the best of it’s kind we’ve ever seen. Restaurant is very nice and the range of food is excellent. The staff from Reception, maids, bar staff and the waiters are the best asset the Noelia has and we found ALL of them to be helpful, pleasant and totally professional.

Limited all-inclusive

If you have booked in this hotel all-inclusive, you unfortunately only get this in a stripped-down variant. It doesn't end until 11am and 11pm. But what is even worse, you ask the guest (despite AI ) for his room number every time he orders. One feels watched who drinks when and how much. In addition, the bar is usually unoccupied and so you wait forever until you are finally served.
The rooms of this hotel are in a very needy condition. The uncomfortable noisy and windowless dining room is reminiscent of a company cafeteria.
Even if the catering is geared towards the many English guests, the German guest will also find a sufficient offer, provided he does not make excessive demands. Worse was that cutlery and dinnerware, in some cases not washed clean. Even good food wouldn't taste good if you don't have confidence in kitchen hygiene.

But there are also positive things to report. The staff are extremely friendly and sometimes speak sufficient German. Also taken into account was my wish not to be accommodated in the very noisy part of the building on the left side of the hotel ( next to the sports hall ). The cleanliness of the rooms offers no cause for complaint. You like to tip them.
The hotel clearly lives from its central location. So you can reach the beach or the central bus station in a few hundred meters. Many other attractions are also within walking distance. Nevertheless, I will not book this hotel in the future.

Spent 4 nights here to wind down a little. The hotel is clean and rooms are adequately furnished with a kitchenette. Staff are very friendly. A nice choice of food on offer. This hotel is in a central location just a ten minute walk to the beach, 20 min walk to Loro Parque and 20 min walk to the shopping area. Half day excursion to Tiede recommended.

The pool is compact but never busy with plenty of room to be in the sun.
The beach is little more than 5 minutes walk and the town about 10mins with many bars and resturants.
The food to generally reasonable for a bufet type hotel but very limited for vegetarians but the manager was happy to take input to make some chanegs and prepared special meals on request.
We stayed "all inclusive" and the drinks were good except the basic wine. After talking with the manager, again they changed what we were offered to a better wine so we were very happy.
All rooms have a small cooker, fridge, kettle and coffee maker so staying on any board basis would work. Rooms were cleaned well every day and the rooms looked to be in good condition. The rooms also had pull out beds if you wanted to have two smaller children share a room as a family.

Review of a holiday at gf neoliea in Puerto de la Cruz Tenerife

The outside of the hotel looks modern and very classy, and this extends to the reception and dining area of the hotel, all on the ground floor. And looks like it's been refurbished recently. But this is where it ends and the negatives start.
Rooms
The rooms are very tired and well-worn, although they are kept clean daily, and the hard-working cleaners have their work cut out. On a particular day, the cleaner left us the towels shown in the pictures.

Our room was on the 4:floor, and we overlooked a wall that was splattered with wet toilet tissue one night, it was very, very noisy, and we found out it was a sports hall until 11 pm, which was not a pleasant experience or outlook for anyone.
We were on a fully exclusive package and didn't feel we benefited from this because of the lack of snacks, only toasties made to order or a sandwich. Waiting time for bar service was not acceptable because bar staff had to wait on tables and clear tables after meals. At times, I felt very sorry for them, such hard workers, and I hope the management appreciated them.

Reception is very welcoming girls are happy to help you and perfect English.

Food
Something for everyone but very repetitive and most days food was not hot but warm. And some strange mixtures for breakfast like peas, and broccoli, left from the night before.
Recommend
I would recommend the hotel for walking distance to the beach and town and also the bus station and maybe staying on a bb basis, but certainly not fully inclusive. I feel that TUI has got it wrong with this rating of three stars, definitely not more than two 2 stars.
Bathroom
Very small just enough room for 1 person only, and again very tired
This hotel needs refurbishing and more staff. I feel we have been let down by TUI. Having stayed in many of TUI hotels this is the worst one by far.

First off, all of the staff we encountered during our stay were extremely friendly and accommodating, from the reception to the cleaning staff! We were checked in very quickly and greeted with a warm smile despite our arrival being so late at night.

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. I always struggle to sleep through the night in new places but my partner said he had the best sleeps of his life during the trip! Pillows were perfect and the covers were thin to combat the heat but still cosy. The AC was great and could be turned on at the literal flick of a switch.

The only issue we had with the room was that sometimes the shower head would droop due to the force of the water pressure and it could be difficult to keep it in place at first, but if that’s the only issue you have with a room, you’re laughing! Speaking of that though, the shower heats up almost instantly and the pressure was truly amazing!

The saltwater pool was incredible! Being Scottish and as pale as I am, I can only withstand sunbathing for short periods at a time, so the coolness of the pool was very welcome and extremely relaxing. We had a good laugh whilst also trying not to disturb the other sunbathers too much 🤣

Hotel is about a 15min walk from Loro Parque (amazing zoo), about 10min from the square with lots of restaurants and bars. The closest beach is red-flagged so you’re unable to swim, but along the coast around a 20-30min walk from the hotel we came across an area that was walled off to allow people to swim. We didn’t get the chance to go during our short stay but it looked really fun!

During our trip we celebrated my birthday and were surprised at the door by a member of staff who dropped off a couple of chocolates and a Happy Birthday card. This was really heartwarming and much appreciated as I wasn’t getting to see my friends and family to celebrate until I was home.

All in all we had a great stay and I thank the staff again for their efforts to make it that way ❤️

Unfortunately there is no bar on the roof. you will need to go to the lobby bar for your drinks. TBH AI is not good value as the snacks between meals are mainly sandwiches and pastries from the ground floor restaurant.

There was just the basic. A frying pan, small saucepan, chopping bd. However, the staff were very helpful and I'm sure they'd help if you needed anything. There wasn't any oil, washingup liquid or wash cloths. We got salt from the restaurant. There is a big supermarket around the corner. Hope you have a lovely holiday.
