This is a great little hotel in a very good location in Santa Cruz. It punches above its weight providing decent accommodation, while slightly dated being both comfortable and clean. Bathrooms are quite limited but provide all that is needed. Breakfast is as you might expect and a little disappointing. Fried eggs are very good but most other hot offerings failed to impress. Cold buffet a bit underwhelming. Staff were all friendly and helpful. All in all would recommend for a reasonably priced stay.
We stayed for one night with our friends who were celebrating their Silver Wedding Imentioned this on our booking and we arrived to a basket of fruit and a bottle of fizz in both rooms The rooms were fine nice comfy bed and a bathroom with a bath and shower Breakfast was nice plenty of choice and a good supply in that nothing ran out the ladies on reception were very helpful Plenty of bars and restaurants in the area Great value for a central location
Rooms a bit old fashioned but everything you need. comfy bed and very clean all over the hotel and pool area. Plenty of variety for breakfast and great cocktails from the great barman! A great location for everything and great restaurants all around.
Good location: close to restaurants, bus station, souvenir shops and other attractions (Loro Parque, Playa Jardin) The staff was very helpful. The room was cleaned daily. The breakfast was very good, with lots of options to choose from.
Marte Hotel - Puerto de la Cruz Excellent quality 3*hotel. It is in a very convenient position if travelling from South Airport by Titsa (public bus); it’s a 5 minute walk downhill from back of station. Also, situated a very easy 5 minute walk to 2 big supermarkets and start of town, squares etc before main promenade walk along by hotels and Martinez Lagoons. There is also a big supermarket adjacent to bus station going out other side (Hyper Dino) example there 8litre container of water is €0.88). I believe in constructive criticism and am being helpful in stating the following starting with MAINLY good points:- 1. Obviously all as above 2. Lovely lounge bar/reception area 3. Regular entertainment 4. Very clean, sheets changed daily. 5. All staff very friendly from waiting staff, reception staff, cleaners and pool attendants, (yes there is actually a lifeguard overseeing postage stamp size pool). NOT SO GOOD POINTS 1. Annoying to find after having paid top asking price for private balcony/patio to find inconsiderate guests smoking on adjoining patio (our area, level 6 was only separated by 2 troughs of shrubs) when there are 2 really large sun terraces on the the level above and below our area) 2. Food most of the time was at best lukewarm even after going into dining room at beginning of service, the food choices were certainly adequate for the half board upgrade but deserts were very unimaginative and tasteless. 3. In conclusion I would definitely recommend this hotel as being very reasonably priced and in excellent location for getting around by feet or public transport.…
This was only £40 a night for a double room incliding breakfast. Comfy bed with cooling cooton bedding, a standing balcony. Pool table in bar and a few places to sun bath or have a drink on communal terraces. There is two blocks so if pool too busy, try another floor. That said, it was always quiet when we were there and plenty of sunbeds at pool. Only thing is the pool is very small and not heated so in January, it was too cold to swim. Breakfast standard and plentiful. Staff were friendly and helpful and didn't take offence to my drunkenness when I staggered in one night! Perfect location to walk to shops, bars and restaurant.
I stayed for ten days in a single room. I had a good sized room with a double bed and a good sized bathroom. My room was dark and facing inwards to an internal space in the building, so not the best room they have to offer. Breakfast was good and very varied, staff were pleasant and helpful. The hot drinks machine is available for free drinks between 10am and 7pm but was often out of order. You can borrow a kettle and make your own drinks which was the best solution. Location of the hotel is near the bus station with all you need nearby. There was free WiFi in the room. Overall, I would recommend this hotel as good value for money.
It was a great experience. We had a good time there. The food was good, the room was clean and the personal was very kind. We will definitely come back for our next holiday. Best regards, from Martina and Zoltan
We arrived by bus from the south of Tenerife and saw the Hotel Marte sign on top of the building from the wall at the side of the bus station. We walked towards it a few hundred meters so it was very easy to find and very close. We arrived early but were warmly welcomed and checked in. The receptionist was very helpful and courteous. The entrance foyer is light and open with a bar at use at night. We walked through the restaurant area to the lift and found our lovely double room. It was very clean with a good sized bathroom. Everything was as it should be and we were very happy to stay especially at the price we paid. It is only a short walk to the main square and there are local bars, restaurants close by. We would definitely recommend this hotel.
Spotlessly clean with the most friendly staff possible. Good *** hotel for fantastic value! Nice breakfast buffet overseen by Santi, Paolo and Victoria. Plenty of choice. Evening buffet is value for money but plenty of choice nearby for typical Canariian cuisine. Overall, great value for money and I would definitely stay again!
