Nestled atop a hill, Parque Vacacional Eden has earned praise for its lush gardens, multiple pools, and diverse dining options, though some guests suggest there's room for enhancement. While the service garners mixed reviews, commendations are frequent for the staff's friendliness and the efficient shuttle service. The location's tranquility is appreciated, yet its remoteness may pose a challenge for those without transport. Spacious but outdated rooms, alongside high cleanliness standards, define the lodging experience. Despite the hotel offering a variety of entertainment, the value perception varies due to additional costs and inconsistent room quality.

The hotel is friendly and very welcoming for families, it was clean and well maintained. The gardens are beautiful and so well looked after. Every evening there was some sort of entertainment at the bar and children where welcome to join.

The location of the hotel is at the top of a hill and around 25 minutes away from the main waterfront so this is a careful consideration to keep in mind. Although taxis are easy to find and only cost €5 to and from hotel.

We stayed bed and breakfast and the organisation of breakfast is very officiant food is quickly restocked and plates are removed quickly when finishes. The snacks and drinks where very reasonably priced and the food that is prepared is very well done and served to a high standard. My only issue with the food for those who are not all inclusive is that it is very limited and the choice is not very considerate to those with children. I have children with additional needs and arnt very comfortable trying new foods so they only really had the option of chips there really isn’t much else to offer. That being said we did eat out often as we new this would be a possibility when booking just bed and breakfast.

The room was very clean and tidy upon arrival, we didn’t make use of the housemaids during our week as we prefer to just tidy ourself but we did use them once for a restock. Again we arrived to a fully restocked bathroom and beds made although the dirty bedding was left on out floor and not taken by the maid but this didn’t bother us at all.

Reception staff where extremely accommodating with any requests such as calling taxis and information on where to eat. We did have some malfunction with our key card on 4 different occasions but was quickly replaced (although I do think to door itself needed to be looked at)

Overall we had a very positive experience and would definitely visit again and recommend we traveled as a group of 7 -3 adults 4 children and we each had a very good experience. Thank you to all staff who work very hard to ensure that the hotel remain clean, friendly and welcoming.

A very enjoyable stay at a hotel that knows exactly what it is doing. We found all of the facilities, including the room to be of an excellent standard with everything kept in very good order throughout.

The food provided was of a very high standard, perfectly cooked and presented. The serving and dining area also kept to a very high standard both in looks and hygiene.

The staff we found to be both friendly and approachable at all times and went above and beyond to assist if any anything out of the ordinary was required. In our case we struggled to connect to the wi-fi in the room. This was sorted in quick order with a router installed in the room straight after speaking to reception.

A great hotel/park extremely well and professionally run and all at a competitive price. We would not hesitate to recommend Eden to anyone considering a stay in the town.

When I booked there was only apartment room available - this was bigger than a lot of British one bedroom flats and would be perfect for a family of four to stay in. Fridge, oven, hob, kettle and coffee machine as well as saucepans, crockery and cutlery. My room overlooked the Eden pool on the 5th floor. The sunbeds get reserved with towels from 7am and there are some early morning/late evening swimmers. Despite there being lights around the pool throughout the night the room was dark with the curtains and very quiet. The bed was comfortable. Good water pressure in the shower.

As others have said, the hotel is a bit shabby in parts but the grounds and the staff more than make up for it. The gardens have outdoor gym equipment and some benches to relax on and enjoy the views and tranquility. Many of the plants and trees have signs to say what they are and where they originate from.

The most direct route down in to the town is via narrow pavements on a narrow road - a much more enjoyable route is via Parque de la Sortija, a mostly flat park with dog walkers and joggers, and then down through Parque Taoro which has lots of viewing platforms on the way down you can pause at. The town of Puerto de la Cruz itself is charming, with its historic harbour walls, town squares, cafes and shops. Great cafes and restaurants along the sea front you can sit in and watch the world go by.

Breakfast was great with standard choices and the food in the evening was good. The restaurant staff work hard and provide a friendly welcome and are a credit to the hotel.

Anyone with mobility problems might struggle to get the best out of the hotel but if you're mobile and adventurous it's a perfect stay.

This is an old hotel, built 50 years ago according to the girl on reception. Its grounds and gardens are not well maintained, pool area and the pool itself is grubby, mould on the bottom of the main pool, weeds growing everywhere and around and in the pool enclosure. In the winter months the main pool cover is closed over the pool so the sun bed area you see in the pictures is non existent. There is another pool on the 5th floor but only has about 20 or so sunbeds so not much use at all. The Hotel is actually a 2 star really. Rooms have been touched up with paint and the furniture also rather than being replaced. The pictures you see are from years ago and give you a false impression that it's better than it actually is. Breakfast choice is very poor, hardly any choice whatsoever! Very, very bland choice and cheap ingredients. No where near 4 star standards or 3 star standards either, the hotel says it's a 4 star! It isn't! Apparently it's been told by the government inspector to improve otherwise it will get downgraded, this hotel should have been downgraded years ago. The whole place needs painting, modernising, huge improvements and a great deal of money spent on it. The rooms are large and clean, but I put towels out on several occasions for clean fresh ones and they where replaced with grubby old white towels that quite frankly needed throwing away and completely renewing their stock of towels. They are running this hotel on a shoestring. I didn't see any grounds men in the whole ten days we stayed here or maintenance men doing any work. Believe me it needs it! The lifts sound like there going to break down, very old and tatty. The staff don't seem all that happy either. The whole place is run down and anybody booking this hotel will be somewhat disappointed unfortunately. Don't believe the pictures and any good right ups, there false. We had an apartment and it was missing kitchen equipment, no toaster, no iron, insufficient cooking equipment, no sharp knives for food preparation etc. Bathroom had broken sharp tiles around the shower area, the shower had rotten through the aluminium frame. Car parking is €5 a day, if there is even a space. The tennis courts are always booked solid by the Spanish, who aren't even staying at the hotel and taking up hotel guests parking spaces throughout the day into the evening time!
Basically don't stay here, it's not worth it. We where very disappointed with this hotel indeed, it's a useless place to stay for a winter break. We ended up going to a nearby hotel to sunbathe and using their facilities in the daytime. What a joke!

Dear Jason: Thank you for having chosen Parque Vacacional Eden for your holidays. We truly regret that your stay was less than perfect. The buildings known as Eden Luz and Esplanade were built in 1973/1974 and completely renovated in 2011/2014. Our housekeeping, maintenance and gardening teams constantly maintain and improve installations and repaint inside the rooms. We are subject to high hygiene requirements, which are constantly monitored. We also set high standards in terms of cleanliness in all areas. It is true that the heatable pool Luz (one of our three adult pools) is covered during the winter months to maintain a pleasant water temperature of approx. 24º C. The sunbeds are located outside. Your comments are important to us so that we can constantly improve and contribute to the well-being of all our guests. Please be assured that we will discuss your feedback in detail. What fantastic hotel! The 1 Bed Apartment thst we had on the 6th floor hsd fabulous views looking towards to sea and the mountains. The balcony was huge as were the rooms and there was enough storage for all of our clothes and luggage. The kitchen was well equipped, albeit we only had lunch 3 times in the room! Noise from adjacent rooms wasn't really a problem either.

The hotel is spread over two buildings but the gardens and grounds were beautiful and you could find a quiet spot if you wanted to. The main pool was fabulous, never thst busy and the nearby table tennis table was great. Only disappointment was the nudist pool on the roof whi h you could only use if you were prepared to sunbath nude! Not that smart given skin cancer risks and the concept is pretty dated! Just make this an adults only area and get into the 21st century!

We were on half board and juan and the restaurant staff were great. Breakfast was particularly good with a great choice so no complaints. Dinner was a bit more hit and miss, some good nights but also some average ones where some of the food was cold especially on BBQ nights when food tended to be cooked all at once then left for ages ! Also vegetarians weren't well catered for as many dishes that would have been suitable had bits off ham or chorizo added! Which was a bit strange. However we loved the flexibility where you could actually dine til 10pm even though mealtime was supposedly 6.30 til 8.30!

Other highlights - the large wall on the walkway between the hotels contained dozens of lizards and you could spend ages watching them or feeding them bananas!

Previous reviews often complained about the location with the hotel set above the resort at around 85 m altitude. While it was a fairly steep drop down it only took 15 mins to walk down albeit 25 mins back which might be a problem if you are unfit or have mobility issues albeit we loved it and besides there was a regular courtesy bus which operated regularly !

Other things to note! Beach towels freely available for a deposit and cleaned whenever you wanted. Happy hour drinks were half price and very good! Also within 10 mins were bus stops which accessed a number of Titsa Servces which were well priced!

All in all a superbly run and managed hotel with very helpful and courteous staff! Would definitely recommend!

What a wonderful holiday we have just had, Family of 6, we had 3 superior rooms which were on floor 5, 2 were next to the bar which closes at 11 so no noise problems. We booked bed & breakfast which was fantastic, plenty of choices, we had dinner a few times which we paid extra for, couple of times it was great, another not so unless you love fish. They had happy hour at the pool bar 5-6 and in the upstairs bar 6-7, which they really need more staff on at these times because you waited quite a while and even though you are in a queue once the hour was up that was it so after waiting 20 mins you got told it's finished, so do try to get more staff at this time to save the barman from any negativity (not from us) The rooms were cleaned everyday except Sunday. There are a lot of steep places around the hotel and in the town, a free shuttle bus takes you into town and back, do check the times and this doesn't run on a Sunday. Taxis are really accessible and cheap. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful trees, plants and flowers and the pool areas are fab. There's a mini golf course with some outside gym equipment dotted about, I would highly recommend this hotel and want to mention some of the wonderful staff who made it so welcoming for us. Firstly Isaac, what a Gem, he does the entertainment during the day and bingo in the evenings which is free, loves a game of table tennis so do take him on, such a lovely lad. Secondly, Nizar, what a fabulous cheery barman who gave us many laughs and worked so hard. Thirdly, Rita in reception who helped me when we had door trouble she acted swiftly and professionally and is a lovely lady, and last but no means least to the wonderful Agueda, you made my holiday with your welcoming smiles, knowledge and friendly ways, you are all assets to this hotel and we all Thank you so much, also to the waiting staff who do a fabulous job.

We had an enjoyable week at the Eden hotel. Our room was huge and had great facilities. Good Wi-Fi, full oven and hob, kettle, cutlery, TV, balcony, huge shower and a safe.
We were on a bed and breakfast board and were more than happy with the choice of food. Fried eggs, scrambled eggs, toast, bacon, sausage, beans, tomato, omelette, a large variety of pastries as well as big choice of cold foods for our European cousins. There was a decent choice of hot beverages as well several fruit juices. On one morning we also had the option of Cava! I particularly liked the delicious honey which dripped into a bowl directly from a natural honeycombe.

The grounds of the hotel are verdant and well kept. There are a large selection of trees and plants from around the world. There is crazy golf on offer as well as outdoor fitness equipment. There is a walkway leading from the main part of the hotel to the annex which has a large wall on one side which houses many scurrying lizards.

The prices in the bars of the hotel are very reasonable. A large beer cost 3 euros 30 cents and a large glass of wine is less than 3 euros. There are two ‘Happy Hours’ every day where you can by any two drinks for the price of one. One ‘Happy Hour’ in the ground floor bar is from 17.00hrs to 18.00hrs and the other is on the 5th floor bar from 19.00hrs to 20.00hrs.

The staff are very friendly and greet you daily with a smile and a ‘Hola!’ I had a ‘big birthday’ whilst on holiday and my wife put up a banner in our room on the morning of my birthday. When we returned from breakfast we were delighted to see that the hotel had left a bottle of ‘fizzy’ with two champagne glasses for us.

There is a downhill trek to town which takes about 15 minutes to walk. The return trip is a lot harder due to the steep incline. The hotel does provide a shuttle bus though which runs fairly regularly and was much appreciated.

Puerte de la Cruz is a large, beautiful town which has dozens of bars, restaurants and shops. I loved the huge, crashing Atlantic waves which hit the rocky shores. January temperatures of 31 degrees were also very welcome, especially with the freezing conditions back home.

The direct transfer from Tenerife (south) airport is a little long (1 hr 20 minutes) and the return took over 2 hours but is probably worth it for the quality of the hotel.

Lovely hotel, clean, tidy and the gardens are beautifully maintained, the walk to the restaurant is always a pleasure with all the trees, flowers and small geckos sunbathing. Breakfast is buffet style and there’s a good selection of hot and cold food, plenty of it too. Our room was on the eighth floor so we had some superb views of the surrounding countryside and Mount Teide. We stayed bed and breakfast and the kitchen area was excellent, there is also a small shop about 5 minutes walk away where you can buy basic supply’s. The pool/bar areas are kept clean and the staff are lovely and so helpful, they even helped me to decorate our room for my wife’s birthday and then gave her a bottle of fizz! We went in April and we have booked again for September and next May, that’s how much we like the place. Very good.

The hotel is located in a quiet residential area above Puerto de la Cruz in a very well-kept and yet natural park. The two buildings "Esplanade" and "Eden Luz" were built in the 1970s and all studios/apartments have since been renovated and offer an unusually large amount of space. All have a kitchenette, bathroom with two sinks and a spacious shower/rain shower.
This time I had a studio in the "Esplanade" with a sunny balcony and a view of the park and about 20m to one of the three pools, so I often swam in it before breakfast.
As I hadn't stayed in the Eden for a few years, I was surprised by the lavish breakfast buffet, which fulfills all wishes. Listing everything here would go beyond the scope of this review (see photos). I therefore recommend that every guest take the time and peace to have breakfast and enjoy it!
I also didn't know about the themed buffet in the evening, which has a different focus every day. The best thing for me was "BBO de pescado" with a large selection of fish and seafood. After mussels and giant prawns, the chef prepared a tuna steak for me - a moment of enjoyment! -. Also on Thursday the Canarian buffet "ceno canario". The presentation alone was a feast for the eyes for me. After "Pimentos de Padron", rabbit with side dishes, of course also from the "giant paella" to finish off once with dessert and the other time with the extensive cheese selection. The quality of the food is always very good. I give it full marks!!
On my next stay I will eat in the new "a la carte restaurant" -FLAMBOYAN". As I heard from guests, "food of the finest" is served here at star level.
I am always impressed by the friendly and nice staff, be it at reception, in the restaurant service, who work quickly and with experience, or in the studio, which is always cleaned and requests are happily and promptly fulfilled.
You are all - SUPER! - or in Spanish words: FENOMENAL!
With these three weeks I have been to the hotel "Paque Vacacional Eden" for the 20th time since 2005! and I always felt very comfortable and enjoyed every day.
I am already looking forward to my next stay.

Very outdated, in poor condition and crying for renovation. Outside is nothing like in the pictures, hotel’s location is not comfortable in case you are with limited mobility - you will have to climb a steep hill from the town centre. Kitchen is very poorly equipped and don’t really have basic essentials, shower doesn’t drain very well, poor customer service, kids pool is freezing cold, “heated” pool is also very cold, has a very limited space for sun beds, entertainment for kids is terrible, limited space for evening entertainment and poor entertainment, beds are very uncomfortable, food is not great, cleaners not capable to do a basic cleaning in the room, it seems that they only taking out the trash and changing towels. This hotel doesn’t have the aircon… so it’s quite too warm to sleep in winter time, and probably unbearable during summer. Would NOT recommend to take all inclusive, use that money to go to the restaurant, it would be much cheaper and tastier. We will never going to visit this hotel again.

Response from Águeda Cabrera, Atención al cliente/recepción at Parque Vacacional Eden

Dear Client, We deeply regret that your stay at our hotel was not to your liking. Customer satisfaction is our top priority and we are very sorry that we did not manage your expectations. Following our company policy, we have checked your reservation and verified that in the room you stayed in, the not disturb sign was on your door, in this case the maid could not have entered. In any case, we regret that you did not communicate your dissatisfaction at the time so that we could have acted. I am very sorry that you have this feeling, but I have to tell you a few things. Our hotel is an establishment in continuous growth and very committed to our customer's satisfaction, that is why I would like to tell you about our most recent improvements. We have put new facilities, 4 Padel courts, a Gourmet Restaurant, a fiber optic system that makes our wifi a dream in quality and speed. We are remodeling the main restaurant, as well as the facade and corridors, animation, daily music ... in short, all these improvements make us have more customers and in the case of most of them, extremely satisfied. A fact that we can corroborate with the rest of the comments that accompany us and although unfortunately you did not like it, we have many comments of quality and full satisfaction. Replying to the location on the hill, I don´t know if you were aware that we have a free shuttle bus which transports our guest from the hotel to the centre of the town and brings them back to the hotel. It was a pleasure having you stay at our hotel and best wishes, Parque Vacacional Edén Best regards and thank you, Parque Vaccional Edén
