Just returned from a week at the hotel. We had a lovely time whilst staying here. The hotel was nice and clean. The food was ok for what we wanted, we ate here for breakfast, lunch and evening meals most nights, we did go out a couple of times to restaurants nearby. The rooms were cleaned every other day. The pool was nice. No need to wake up early to reserve beds. The evening entertainment was good, always had me laughing. This is a quiet resort which was perfect for us. There is a cocktail bar just opposite which had a dj on a weekend. We also used the sister hotel opposite one day which was a nice change of scenery. We went to the Lago Martinez a couple of times, it’s only a 5 minute taxi and a nice relaxing day out. All in all I enjoyed my stay at this hotel and a bargain for what we paid. Thank you

Cleanliness was of a high standard, several reception staff very rude and unhelpful. If good food is part of your holiday enjoyment don't book all inclusive, you will be very disappointed! There are plenty of reasonably priced local restaurants that serve much better food.

Hello Vicky, We are pleased that you found our hotel to be very clean, but we are very disappointed by your comments about our staff who are always complimented on their efficient, warm service. We are sorry if there has been some misunderstanding. Furthermore, it is unfortunate that our diverse selection of food did not suit your personal tastes; we attempt to cater for everyone, but we appreciate that it is not always possible to please everyone. Nevertheless, we hope that you enjoyed your holiday and wish you the best. BLUESEA Puerto Resort Hotel Team

Firstly, I offer no apology for the length of this review. I wanted to give a honest review, and doing that in a few paragraphs won’t do it justice. Secondly, I won’t let a single thing ruin the whole holiday, or effect the review. I noticed if people had one gripe they gave a bad score even although the rest of the holiday is perfectly fine. Summary Room – Basic Clean Daily + Facilities – Fridge and Safe, but Fridge barely keeps cool. The electrics need updating slightly as no USB port to be seen which is especially important these days - Entry – Entry is via a card but wipes easily if you have near your phone - Bathroom – The water pressure and temperature are great on the bath/shower. + Food Food has a good choice for everyone and changes slightly each day; although, could have been hotter + Bar 1 Euro for reusable cups is a good idea – most drinks are watered down, and it’s open from 10.30am to 11pm - Staff Staff are friendly and approachable making sure masks are worn when appropriate + Entertainment Little or no information is given about the facilities or entertainment the hotel offers, so guests need to find this out for themselves - Wi-Fi When the Wi-Fi works it is brilliant, it’s the fastest I’ve seen in a hotel, and hasn’t cut me off even with excessive copying of photo’s/videos to my home storage unit. + Covid-19 information The hotel has strict Covid-19 policy, so you need to wear your masks at all times when your not eating, drinking or in the pool. When I finished breakfast it looked like it had been raining as the whole site was wet – this was due to the cleaning crew mopping all the ground areas. Great Stuff. Checking in I got to the Hotel around 1.30pm, and the reception lady was friendly and accommodating, the checking in process was easy if a little lengthy. The receptionist explained that I was a bit early and my room wasn’t ready. This was my error as it had a bit sign saying check in started at 2pm. Rather then turn me away, she put attached the all inclusive band, let me put my luggage into the luggage area and let me use the facilities whilst waiting which is a nice touch. They offered me a choice of 2 times for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The early ones were 7.30am, 1pm and 7.30pm, with the second choice being 9am, 2pm and 8.30pm. I’m an early riser so went for the earlier option. I returned later to collect my key and enter my room. The room My room was on the ground floor behind reception. On entering the room it had a freshly cleaned smell, and on initial inspection everything was was clean and tidy, even the TV had signs of being wiped. A finger test on areas above the mirror frames showed signs of dust, but this wasn’t heavy which showed these items hadn’t been neglected completely. There was a fridge and safe in the room; although, the safe is extra, so would need to be unlocked prior to use. There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, but this isn’t an issues to me, as I don’t tend to drink coffee in the middle of the night. The fridge is next to useless, as only seems to keep things at room temperature even at the maximum setting. The room also had an air-conditioning unit which worked well, and the bathroom had a bath with built in shower, sink, toilet and bidet. The beds were 2 single beds pushed together, and a sheet to cover when sleeping. They were comfortable, and I slept the whole night without any noise or disturbance. Housekeeping After the initial deep clean before checking in, the housekeepers do a quick making of the bed and towel change. Shower The Shower was a good pressure and nice and hot. Entertainment This was the biggest disappointment. Not because the entertainment was bad, but because there was no information that there was any. I went to the hotel pool where there was a stage each night, and apart from some music there was nothing on. It was only when I heard people talking about the quiz night, 2 nights before I left, at the hotel opposite that I found it at all. The hotel needs to better inform there guests what facilities/entertainment is available. The Bar The Bar is Located by the main swimming pool The bar staff were friendly and accommodating, and had everything that was asked for (which wasn’t a lot). They reminded you to wear masks when needed, and there was a area behind the bar with a selection of rolls if you couldn’t wait for one of the three meal times. The drinks were nice, but very weak. I asked for a whisky on the rocks and it was very watered down. The Food The restaurant is clean with plenty of food. Breakfast has your full English, with a choice pastries/fruit on one table, with cold cheese meats on another table. It has a little fresh area which has fried eggs and every so often has waffles or mini ham/cheese omelettes. There is a selection of juices , fizzy drinks and tea/coffee. Lunch/Dinner has a Selection of Hot food, Cold Food and puddings. There is slight difference to the servings each night, and a couple of choices for freshly cooked food (while you wait). There is a selection of Juices, beer/win, fizzy drinks but no tea/coffee. My only gripe with this is that the hot food was only kept moderately warm. I do have an issue when travelling alone, is that a couple of times I’ve gone to get more food or drink the table has been cleared, or my food has disappeared. A friendly hint is to take a place holder to leave on the table so the servers know you’re still about (I used my glasses, but am going to buy book with a cover saying “I ain’t gone” after the late great Granny Weatherwax) Other information I did have a problem with my door card being wiped by my phone. As I travel alone, sometimes it’s hard to keep the two separate. Especially when going swimming as it’s best to keep everything together. If there was a queue at the reception desk it sometimes took a good while to get the card rewritten. Being locked out of your room wearing just a pair of shorts isn’t fun! The hotel really needs to look at modernising this system as I’m sure I’m not the only one that had this issue. There is a bus that takes you to the town centre at around 25 past each hour starting at 9.25 am. This service only operates Mon to Fri; although, it’s a nice leisurely walk to the town and beach (If a little steep). The ladies was really friendly. The hotel has arrows to stick to Covid guidelines; although, nobody stuck to these which was infuriating, but this isn’t the hotels fault. Stupid people will always be stupid wherever they be. All in all it was a good holiday, and if I was given the choice to stay again, I would. There were no showstoppers or anything that put me off going again.
