Based in a fantastic location. Short walk to beach, bus station, restaurants and supermarket and slightly longer walk to port, town and Loro Park (zoo).
Our room was one of the older ones on 6th floor, so we had a fantastic view but it could have done with a makeover. The hob by the side of the sink took up so much space you had very little room to put cups, plates etc after washing them. The microwave was placed in the living area where the tv used to be as the kitchen is too small for it to go anywhere else and the tv was stuck between the living and bedroom areas, so you couldn't really watch it. Luckily we didn't want to. We found out towards the end of our stay that some rooms had been modernised and ours was one of the old ones. Whilst it was tired, the view from the balcony was good and worth sitting out on morning and evenings.
Staff were great. Soriah on reception was a mine of information and really helpful.
We didn't eat in the hotel, so can't comment on that. Pool area was fine. Good for sunbathing and rooftop views. Small but clean pool. The lobby, downstairs bar and restaurant have all been recently renovated. They are really good - totally unlike the old pictures that are showing on here.
I feel we got what we paid for, but to be honest, we could have benefited from some information. There was nothing anywhere saying when the cleaner came in and when towels would be changed and no information on wifi code. Of course, go to reception and they will tell you/give you towels if needed, but it would have been good to have that information in the room.
For the price I would definitely recommend it, but do check in advance which room you are booked into.

We were satisfied in the first 7 days, as we stayed in room 616 which has a good view. We were moved to 604 in the next 7days (it was our decision to extend our vacation to 7 days more) In the hallway going to our room, smelled disgusting. Someone had his bird or dog in the room as it smelled (i couldn't explains but it was unpleasant) Anyway. the reception, cleaning group, and everything was okay. We get our room cleaned everyday, the Lady in the reception was helpful with our inquuries. All in all it was a good stay.

I have been to Puerto many times and always try new hotels hoping to find one that I love to keep returning too. Well I booked a standard room but as said in other peoples reviews they are a bit dated so I paid a little more and upgraded to a superior Teide view room and wasn't disappointed! Housekeeping worked tirelessly and on reception Soriah was very friendly and always willing to help! Once fully refurbished this will be a top hotel . Whilst there they was improvements being done to the roof terrace and that was looking very impressive.Location Is a big plus too. This is a very good hotel. Keep up the good work. I am returning to Puerto in October and have booked a superior Teide view room again!

We all liked it very much. Clean, delicious breakfasts and dinners (for 11 days dinner was always different) Thanks to the chef. Nowhere outside the hotel you can eat so much delicious food for 12 euros per person. Good location, near a supermarket, bus station, beautiful beach, playground, park). The hotel also provided a baby cot for our child. It was a great joy for her, since the war in Ukraine began and we had to flee from our house, she had not slept in a crib for almost a year. Also very friendly staff and nice people. We are very grateful to the hotel for our good stay.

Great hotel there is nothing not to like. We had one of older rooms but cleaned daily ( housekeeping is fantastic). Great views from balcony. We arrived early hours of the morning and the guy on reception was so accommodating and made us feel so welcome. It’s in a great location with bus station at end of the road. Also lago martinaz is so worth a visit and is only a 20 min walk or €5 in taxi. The hotel does food also and has special nights and breakfast daily you can pay for this if self catering like us and is very well priced. If I was to visit here again I would definitely stay in the sky view again. Thank you so much for having us it has been a great holiday for me and my kids.

This is a lovely hotel and we really enjoyed our time there. All the staff were polite and helpful. The rooms were clean and well equipped with everything we needed, the beds and pillows were really comfortable. There was a very good choice of food and I always looked forward to my meals, we stayed half board. We didn’t get time to try out the swimming pool on the rooftop but the views from there were magnificent. We were completely overwhelmed when the hotel gave a bottle of wine to my husband for his 85th birthday, but unfortunately we weren’t able to drink it because of our medication and we couldn’t take it on the aeroplane, but it was such a lovely gesture. The location was ideal as it is in the town with plenty of bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk. The sandy beach is about 15 minutes walk and the small harbour and waterfront is within walking distance. The bus station is about 2 minutes from the hotel with a very good service for travelling to other parts of the island. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

As of September 2023, the hotel is full of work with cables in front of the GROUND FLOOR elevators without any type of care and at all hours. It is hot but there is no air conditioning in the rooms or common areas.

Our overall holiday was very good, the hotel was clean and the food was fine. On arrival, after a long transfer from the South Airport, there was a welcome drink which was very welcome!
The room was clean and comfortable and was tidied daily, we only received one change of towels for the week and you have to pay for the safe, but otherwise no complaints.
The staff were really great, except for Jesus who was rude and ignored us at the bar whilst he continued a conversation with a fellow member of staff.
The place itself is a lovely place, 10-15 minute walk to the main shopping area and the harbour where you can swim. A further 5-10 minutes away is a swimming pool complex with the biggest pools I've ever swam in! it was very good, worth spending the 15 euros for the two of us for the day.
There is a Lidl a short bus ride away which also stops at a great restaurant, Las Dehesas which was a lovely find.
The biggest disappointment is the fact that the closest beach, Playa de Jardin, is closed due to sewage pollution. This is an ongoing problem with no resolution at present - so be warned, if sitting on the beach and swimming in the sea is paramount to your holiday, DO NOT GO to Puerto de la Cruz!

Sunbeds were abundant and so were the sunbathers. The poolside was nearly full. We did not pay for Wifi but had to put a deposit for tv remote control and for waterboiler.

It's about 10 minutes from the beach (black sand). Weather was great until our last day (Friday) then it was heavy rain during the day. That was all the rain we saw. Used the pool every night, apart from Friday, at 5pm. Enjoy!
