Lovely well maintained hotel with immaculate gardens. Our room overlooked the pool so every morning we witnessed the stampede of guests at 8.50am literally running to grab their sun beds for the best locations. Absolutely disgraceful behavior and I won’t name the nationality but they are well known for this type of selfish behavior. Apart from this, breakfast was good, staff helpful and rooms were spotless.

We stayed here as a family of 5 over new years. Hotel is a decent 3 star hotel that's clean and well maintained. Staff are friendly and most spoke good English. The pool is great, its heated in winter which is a must. Pool is set in beautiful gardens and Tennis(10€ per hour) and table tennis is available on site. Great washing machine (€3) & dryers(€2). Pool towels are available for €10 deposit each. We were in a room over a bar on the street side and some nights its was extremely noisy until 2am. We asked to move but unfortunately they didn't move us. No sun on balcony either so I think it was just a bad room allocation. There are lots of eateries in the area (we like mini golf restaurant) and also a great playground right beside hotel. Town is about a 15-20 mins walk down the steps and taxi back is €4. I would stay here again but hopefully not in room 145!

The hotel, being from the 1970's, is a bit worn out, but generally kept tidy and clean. It is what you expect when booking a 3-star hotel in this part of the world. The apartments have the basic necessities and a small kitchenette with a 2-plate stove, fridge/freezer and microwave oven. No toaster, but a kettle can be borrowed free of charge at the reception. The staff is friendly and attentive. We pointed out a few issues with the room, which were fixed within an hour. The swimming pool (heated( is very large, and there is a also a smaller childrens pool. There is the typical circus with the battle of the sunchairs starting a 9am, when the pool deck is opened. As is often the case, guests reserve chairs by putting their towels on them, and then disappearing for hours. A practice which is explicitly forbidden by the hotel, but accepted nevertheless. We never visited the restaurant, but every single guest we spoke to was deeply disappointed by the quality and quantity of the food ... or lack thereof. As you might have guessed, it's buffet only. So if you are staying, don't book the food package. There are lots of very good restaurants in Puerto de la Cruz center, which is a 15-minute walk away. Returning (uphill) is a 5 EUR taxi ride. In the immediate vicinity you will find the obligatory shops selling straw hats, swimming gear, postcards and other tourist items. Most of the restaurants/cafes just outside are of questionable quality. Go the the city center ... at least in the evening.

We stayed there for a week only. We liked the garden and the heated big pool. The hotel was clean and quiet, After removing a noisy bed cover we enoyed comfortable beds. Rooms are basic but comfortable and well-equipped for a carefree stay, cleaned daily. Unfortunately, only BB is possible. If not, we'd definitely be back next year for a longer stay, but we like the flexibility to have our own meals on a balcony.

The Masaru Apartments Hotel is to be found in Puerto de la cruz. It´s quite a long walk to the city center, but If you rather like to stay in the area, there is a supermarket and lots of restaurants close to the hotel. The room is well planned, cleaning is good. The beds are really hard. Safetybox is available for a fee. We had a balcony with a view over the nice garden/pool area. The pool area and the poolbar is good, we enjoyed it every day. Unfortunatly this time there was a big construction work going on just by the hotel so there where lots of disturbing noice starting already in the early morning. The breakfast could be better. The coffee is not good, but there where tea or juice to choose from too. We had great sunny days all week so over all we where satisfied.
