Advertised as set in shopping area, this was 1mile away down 250 steps, private beach, can't see how as we were 1 and a half miles from the beach, non working lift, Jacuzzi and spa for the whole week we were there, advertised with individual air conditioning, individual heating, free complimentary wi-fi, am/fm clock radio alarm in each room, free toiletries, non of this was true, wi-fi only available in the lobby, no a/c or individual heating, no clock radio or toiletries in the room, roof terrace had no seats or sun loungers, all staff with the exception of the cleaners were rude and arrogant and offered no help at all, our toilet stopped flushing on the Friday which I reported, when no one appeared to fix it I enquired again on the Saturday only to be told they could not attend till Monday, this I only found out when I chased them about it, we reviewed the pictures before we went so were expecting a hotel which needed updating which we were not concerned about but to advertise facilities which clearly were not there or are not available is totally unacceptable.

We stayed at the here for a week on full board , we thought that its a great way to save money and make sure we were able to eat something everyday , the food however isnt good. Alot of times its was barely ediable and we were only allowed water at the meal times. The rooms were clean , very dated and needs alot of updating , for example new tiles as alot were cracked and new paint ect and a new bed , ours squeeked so much that even if we just turned over we would wake each other up. The cleaners were polite and did a good job , the same cant be said for the man at the desk downstairs. On one occation the cleaners took the dirty towls and forgot to replace the bath towls ;easy mistake to make i thought if youre cleaning alot of rooms , so i went to the front desk to mention it and was met by sarcasm and questioning , it was as if he thought i stole the towls. He was very rude and eventually said the cleaner would be up with new towls. Near the end of our stay we recieved the time that our pick up was coming and the times didnt seem to match up to our flight and so i asked if i could use the phone ,he point blank refused and said oh well if you miss your flight it isnt your problem. There just ended up being a typo but the fact that even in an emergency like (going to miss your flight) he still wouldnt help ,was very rude. Overall we loved our stay in tenerife even liked the place we stayed ( up the hill) because of the view but the hotel let it down a little. I think it wouldnt be as bad if we didnt go full board. Pros: *close enough to town you can walk while being far enough away that its quiet. * clean and the cleaning staff are nice. * has a pool ( though only from 10am -6pm) Cons: * not suitable for disabled as the route down the hill is alot of steps or is down a steep road and the lifts dont work. * rude front desk employees. * horrible food. * cant access water outside of meal times without paying ( cant drinkbthe tap water as is very salty)

What can I say, hotel is old but clean. The food is ok and the drink is served in plastic glasses but the staff are something else. The lifts don’t work and the pool is closed but the views and weather were fab, get a cheap deal and use it as a base

We stayed one week in Feb 2020. The location is perfect and the hotel layout guarantee amazing views from most rooms. We had the ocean and mountain view. The hotel is very dated and in need of tlc but its clean. TV had no remote and did not work properly anyway and the lighting in our room was so poor I had to use my phone torch to read a book. This did not bother us however as the weather was amazing and we stayed out every day. We had a halfboard and the food was really poor. Not much choice and lack of presentation. Just one look at it and we wanted to go and eat out. Same soggy broccoli and reheated chips every day. Even desserts looked like taken out of frozen economy packs. They would do with proper chef.

This Hotel would not be recommended for the Elderly or people with Disalility. The Lift was breaking down all the time the Food was cold and not very inviting. The Bar at the Pool was opened from 10 to 6 there was no other place to get a dring until the evening time and this was closed at 10. The Bar Staff left a lot to be resired.

Although clean and tidy for the most part (albeit some facilities looked more dated in appearance), and staff were generally friendly and accommodating (with the notable exception of one older member of the bar staff who appeared to resent serving any customers and only did so with a surly grunt!), this experience was billed as 'all-inclusive' yet fridge, safety deposit box, hair dryer, sauna etc all had to be paid for as extras. As vegetarians we found the food adequate if not exactly exciting (we are well used to surviving on salad, eggs, cheese and chips etc while abroad), but the quality of alcoholic drink served was appalling - the wine undrinkable and the lager beer of the very worst kind of tasteless eurofizz imaginable (although fortunatley there were plenty of nearby convenience stores where bottled beers and wines were readily available at minimum cost). In short - you get what you pay for and as we did not pay a great deal for the rooms - and particularly as the weather on our 2 week stay turned out to be just perfect and the location absolutely stunning (yes we did have to climb 200 steps up and down to the sea front every day but knew that before we booked and I'm sure it did us good!) - then on the whole I can recommend the Miramar if you are prepared to take these comments into account?

This hotel is absolutely horrendous. We paid for all inclusive that was a joke - no snacks at pool in fact no snacks anywhere and the restaurant food was atrocious - always cold and every day exactly the same food - pork steaks, chops, stew etc it was really bad - i lived on cheesy chips for lunch reheated in microwave and toast for breakfast. We never ate at dinner because it was so bad. When we complained about cold food we were told rudely to heat it in microwave. There was no entertainment at all and AL drinks stopped at 10 pm not that we ever stayed in. We had to eat out every day which caused us to use credit card which we have never had to do when we pay for AL and we are both pensioners and this caused us stress as to how we will pay it back. The lift worked sometimes not good when u r on 7th floor and in our sixties. It advertised hotel as 5 mins from shops and beach that's a laugh - to get to them you had to walk down 250 stone steps and that only got you to start of town. The rooms were very basic and cold. I asked for deposit back for safe and was told i wasn't getting it. Please listen to me and do not go here i can't tell you how bad it was and everyone felt the same. I wouldn't even give it one star. Only good thing was the sunshine and the nice people we met who like us had to eat out.

After reading reviews were dreading going. But we found the hotel very clean. Towels changed every day. Food repeated a lot but always found something to eat. Only problem was 32 steps to the pool as the lift was out of action all week and no one even tried to mend it. Xxxx
