Apartamentos Casablanca is often regarded as offering good value, with guests pleased by its reasonable amenities and services, despite some dated elements. The hotel's cleanliness receives high marks, with its rooms and common areas maintained impeccably. Conveniently situated, it provides easy access to attractions, though the walk back can be uphill. While the evening entertainment and atmosphere receive mixed reviews, the well-equipped apartments with modern bathrooms are a highlight. Service experiences vary, with commendations for the reception staff but occasional slow service in the bar. The rooms are spacious and clean, yet some lack privacy and sport outdated decor.

We stayed here for 12 nights, we had such a great experience and highly recommend this place.
Yes the place was a little dated but it didn't effect our stay in anyways. We arrived very late at night and the front of house gentleman were very kind and very helpful towards us.
When we are leaving out flight was till late, we asked for extra hours in our room which we paid 30€ for till 5 o'clock till our airport transfers picked us up. There is a room where you can store your bags and some changing rooms if your not able to rent your room for extra hours.
The room was absolutely spotless and was spacious for us both, we were in block B on the ground floor right in the corner so out balcony looked into a lovely little garden area. The kitchen was well equipped and had just about everything you needed to cook a meal.
The only thing I wish our apartment had was air-conditioning as the nights could become very uncomfortable with the heat.
The house keeping staff were so so lovely, we didn't need to us the house keepers as we were hardly in the room, we would change our own bin out and give it to our house keeper when we seen her as we weren't needing the room cleaned.
The pool area was lovely with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas for everyone. The pool it self though was very very cold.
We spent a few nights up at the bar watching the entertainment which was alright nothing fabulous and depending on how many people were there changed the atmosphere. We never ate at the restaurant but did order drink, service could be slow some nights and had to chase them some times for the bill but the staff were very polite and friendly.
We used the laundry facilities ones on our stay and had a slight problem with our white clothes coming out with mold and stains on them which we report to the front desk and were giving our money back and asked to use a new machine which did clean our white properly. I do recommend full checking your machine before putting your clothes in it to avoid this situation.
The place is situated in the middle of a hill turn left to head down to the beach and mall or you could go right to find some tourists shops and restaurants.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Apartamentos Casablanca and would highly recommend it too couples or family's looking for a quite hoilday.

What a wonderful holiday at this hotel. Situated around 200ft above the seafront it boasts beautiful views of the sea and hotels below. Although it is a steep walk down some steps to Puerto De La Cruz centre, it is only a 5 minute walk. If you have mobility issues there are plenty of taxis at around €5 to the centre. It is only a 5 minute walk away from a supermarket and shopping centre which also includes a Burger King. There is a friendly local store 1 min up the road which sells English bacon and sausages (frozen) and any other groceries you might need. Staff at the hotel are wonderful (especially the reception staff and cleaners) and most of the waitresses are cheerful too, but except one or two who could learn a lesson in manners. The food in the hotel is great and reasonably priced although not an extensive menu. The pool is much larger than it seems on photos which was a nice surprise and there was never a shortage of sunbeds. No lilos/pool floats etc are allowed in the pool and lifeguard very strict about this. The rooms were spacious and clean, equipped with everything you’d need throughout your stay such as cooker, kettle, toaster, toastie maker, microwave, hairdryer, TV etc and towels/bedding were changed regularly. We didn’t stay in the hotel for entertainment on an evening however we did notice bingo, singers and dancers. Plenty of bars/restaurants a short walk from the hotel and also mini golf just up the road (a very steep walk, be warned)
Only downside to this holiday (which is COMPLETELY out of hotels hand, but I will mention it here anyways so travellers are aware) Playa Jardin and surrounding beaches are closed for the foreseeable due to contamination and risk of disease.

All in all would definitely return to this hotel, I’ve paid more for 4* hotels that have been worse than this 3*

This hotel is fantastic for young families and has everything you need. The pool is great and even in August, was never too crowded and we could always get four sun loungers no matter what time we arrived. There are life guards on duty every day too. There are lots of food options in the bar/restaurant and the food is of really good quality. The service can be a little slow sometimes but I think that's just the relaxed Spanish way! We had breakfast included which is really recommend as there are lots of lovely options. The rooms have been updated since the hotel's brochure pictures so look much more modern (plain white bedspreads!) and are cleaned every single day. Our room was great with everything you need. Hotel reception staff are great and so helpful and will book excursions for you. When we arrived they had left us a bottle of wine and a bottle of water in the room which I thought was a really nice touch.
There's a big games room for kids too and outdoor pool tables and evening entertainment every night.
The hotel is in a brilliant location - 10 minutes walk down to central Puerto De La Cruz or 10 minutes walk the other way up to Botanical Gardens. Spectacular views. It is on the top of a steep hill so be prepared for a big walk up to get back, or we got a taxi a few times which is under 5 Euros.
I absolutely loved it here and would definitely recommend it.

Great hotel, really friendly staff. Rooms cleaned often and the other parts of the hotel kept really clean. We found it quiet at night which was good as you had to leave the windows open as the rooms got really warm, would definitely benefit from aircon. There are steps (a lot) up from the shops to the apartments or you can walk the long way round up a hill…I found this better than the steps. The mercadona supermarket is down the hill/steps and is great for groceries and really reasonably priced. There are plenty of restaurants down the front and I found them
all very reasonably priced. If you want something special and like steak try Vulk Bewery much better and cheaper than Brunellis steakhouse.
There was also laundry facilities at the apartment which were well priced and meant I could go home with everything washed and ready to go for the next holiday!! Would definitely recommend these apartments.
The only negative is the pool, it looks much bigger in the pictures but it’s actually quite small for the number of apartments there are but it wouldn’t put me off going again…this is the second time we have been at these apartments.

We spent a week at the Casablanca apartments in a self-catering studio and we were pretty impressed. The studio was very well-equipped and spacious. The decor in the main room was a little dated but very clean; however the bathroom appeared to have been recently completely refurbished and was very modern with a lovely powerful rainfall shower. The balcony was pleasant. Cleaning services were offered every day except two (advised in advance). I can't comment on the entertainment, the bar or the restaurant as we didn't use them. We found the staff very friendly and helpful. The pool was a little on the small side for the size of the hotel but there were always sunbeds available. The location, as others have said, is uphill from the town, but we quite enjoyed the walk back up in the evening!
On the road behind the hotel you can catch buses to go to lots of other towns if you want to explore (La Orotava, Las Lagunas, Garachico...) so you don't have to go into town to go to the bus station.
My only negative comment is that we had to pay extra (€14 for the week) to use the safe in the room. In any modern hotel, that should definitely be included!

Just got back from a 10 night stay at the Casablanca and have mixed feelings about the hotel.
The hotel was very clean and the rooms had everything we needed being self catering but found the beds were very uncomfortable especially the sofa bed. Staff were all polite and helpful. The pool didn’t open till 8:30, never felt we had to rush to the pool to get a lounger, the lifeguards would take lounger hogger towels away. The pool side toilets could do with some cleaning throughout the day as it gets very slippery with kids going in wet. Pool is COLD!!!
The food was hit and miss. Breakfast was nice and the snacks had a good selection but the pizza was awful. If you want a drink on an evening expect to be kept waiting for a long time. Timed the service one night, 15 mins before our order was taken (went to her in the end) 20 mins for the drink to then come and then another 20 mins for the bill. Not because the staff were lazy but because they are sooooo understaffed!!!!
The entertainment was very minimal. A singer a few nights and no kids disco which was very disappointing for my dance loving kids. They did a few games of water basketball and dancing in the pool but that was about it.
As previously written on other reviews it is a steep hill very difficult pushing a pram up it after being in the town. Would be hard work for anyone with walking difficulties.
The lidos in the town are a must go 5 euros for adults, a few nice salt water pools had a fab day there.
Some nice restaurants going up hill too.
Had a lovely holiday, puerto de la cruise is a fantastic place but I wouldn’t stay at the Casablanca again.

I stayed at the Hotel Apartamentos Casablanca with friends for 5 days in March 24. The weather was an average of 22c , and we had rain a couple of nights, so recommend a light waterproof. I was in Block 4, room 4104. Although I was on my own, the room is designed to cater for a family of 4. All of the room and hotel was very clean. The rooms are cleaned daily, except for 2 days, where just rubbish is removed. The staff are all very friendly especially the reception ladies who were very helpful. My only niggle is with the bar staff, especially the manager. I don’t know what the closing times are but if it was approaching closing time then say so, not clatter about the place, cleaning and counting the takings. Very un professional. The hotel itself is situated at the top of a steep hill. You can easily walk down the steep steps, or follow the road to the seafront. There is a large supermarket at the bottom of the hill. All car drivers are very courteous. A taxi back from the town is around 5 euros.
There is a bus 103 to Santa Cruz which is right out of hotel to top of the hill and cross to the bus stop for around 12 euro. I have inserted a few pictures of my room. Have a good stay.

Tomorrow we fly home again and we have had 2 wonderful weeks here. The apartment we had was very spacious with a large balcony. There are apartments with smaller balconies.
Kitchen furnishings perfect. Hob, microwave, oven. But we had a nice meal out. There are plenty of nice places to eat in the area where you can really feel the Spanish atmosphere
The disadvantage is that you have to climb stairs. If you have difficulty walking, a taxi is not expensive. We did everything on foot and you discover a different square every time. The food is also not expensive.
The cleaning app sometimes leaves a lot to be desired, but you can go to reception and it will be resolved. When we were there Sergio was there. A nice guy for the animation. Something for everyone.
In the evening there are also regular activities organized and there is also plenty of room for dancing. It ends at 11 p.m. and the bar also closes on time, so we didn't have any sleepless nights. Had a very varied holiday and will definitely come back.

Do not book a studio at this place, especially if you are travelling solo.
They have these ground floor studios next to the swimming pool where every one passes by. There is no privacy and a lot of noice and most of these rooms are next to rubbish bins. These are not safe either as they have this weird locking system that until you enter the room and put the card for the lights to switch on, the whole balcony door stays open for quite some time. Anyone passing by can 'pop by'. Not safe.

They know this and I think their system is to fill these rooms until customers complain. They change you room when you complain after some days as apparently everything is fully booked. It was 4 days in my case. Talking with the people next door it was 4 days for them too. I understoon they don't change you earlier also because of cleaning costs. So they give you this bad experience for 3-4 days snd they treat like this customers that have booked 12 days as myself. Pretty bad treatment. In trying to change room earlier than the 4 days they offered to charge me for an upgrade. In our conversations 2 different people said "I am not lying", right...
Other than that there is live music every night so you need to stay in and close the windows.
'Lovely' summer vacations..

Travelled as a family of 4, Mum,Dad and kids aged 9 and 5. RCI exchange.
Excellent care and knowledge from reception, great pool and no issue getting loungers. Restaurant/ bar very slow service and the food wasn’t great. We were self catering but ate at the restaurant a few times only and experienced very slow service at the bar during the day when we were at the pool. These are the reasons I rate at 4 and not 5.
There was more entertainment in the day for the kids than I was expecting from previous reviews with several activities on 5/7 days. It was August though! There was arts and crafts, table tennis, twister and pool games to name a few and also a programme for adults/ older kids including stretching classes, archery and gaming. Evenings varied from bingo to live music and flamenco dancing and was a bit more hit and miss but enough for us to notice the noise in our room that faced out onto the pool/ restaurant area. Bit of an issue as we were in a one bed with a fan in the bedroom but nothing in the lounge area where the kids were sleeping so we had to keep the balcony door open for air. It is possible to hire air con units but we still had to keep the door open for the duct tube. In the end kids just adapted to staying up later but some families using the room might be more affected.
The games room area is really big with a few arcades, air hockey, pool and table tennis, the play area for younger children is in the same place and the laundry room leads off from it- I used this a few times with no issues but I don’t think it’s existence is highlighted on the website.
There is a hill as others have said and what we nicknamed “the streps of doom” if you want to venture a little way to the sea, restaurants and shops, not an issue for us but would not be good for those with mobility issues or a push chair.

Up the hill there is another good supermarket called coviran. The advantage of using this one is you are carrying your shopping downhill. Turn right up the hill, turn left past the hotel Fergus, 2nd left and it's 100 metres on the right.

Email and ask for the barranco or the pool. Of the 4 outsides one faces the building site, one faces a road, one faces a very busy road and the last one the quiet barranco. Facing the pool will give you relative peace at night.
