Hotel Parque San Antonio has garnered appreciation for its serene atmosphere, clean and spacious rooms set within lush gardens accompanied by live music, making it a tranquil retreat. Guests have praised the hotel's cleanliness and the value of its drinks package, though some hope for more from the hotel's offerings. The service is generally warm and attentive, with only occasional mentions of less friendly interactions.
While the rooms are reported to be clean, they are also considered basic and sometimes noisy. Its location is deemed convenient, though it may be too quiet for the preference of some visitors.

Detailed Reviews
Had a top floor room on the outside of the hotel but with no balcony or view just palm trees. Good sized double bed. The corridors however, smelt a little damp. There is a lot of vegetation around and it had been raining.
The buffet dinner and breakfast was fine with a good choice. Cava was set up to be served on entrance at breakfast however at opening at 7am the cava was missing. It was 7.15/7.20 before it and the ice arrived...
The restaurant was a little cool in the morning however I think the islands had experienced a cold snap as there was snow on Teide which had been there for a few days.
Wifi is supposed to be throughout the hotel however I could only get it to work if I went out into the corridor from my room. At reception they advised if there were any problems to give them a call however, there was no telephone in my room. The bathroom was quite small but toiletries provided and plentiful very hot water.
It's in a quiet area and on-street parking spaces outside though come the evening there wasn't many free spaces. It's a walk downhill to the beach and centre.

The hotel has a very attractive pool area with drinks and snacks available. There were many activities eg yoga, Pilates, aqua aerobics and cooking demonstrations, all were very enjoyable with friendly and expert tuition.
Breakfast and dinner buffets were extensive and for a small charge an unlimited drinks option was available for wine, beer or soft drinks/mineral water to consume with dinner.
Room was very clean and spacious with comfortable beds, only 10 steps from the patio area to the pool.
The town and beaches are a 20 min walk downhill and there is a regular shuttle bus service provided by the hotel.

Arrived at this hotel early March and was welcomed by the friendly reception staff but the accommodation was not what we were expecting. The photos on the Jet2 website do not portray this hotel in it's true light, it's very tired looking and in need of an update and does seem to cater for the over 70s. For the price we paid at this time of year we feel it was excessive for what we would say is a 2.5 star accommodation (was advertised as a 4 star). We even paid an extra 56 euros to upgrade to a better room with balcony, god knows what our other room would of been like because it was not worth the extra money. There were wires hanging out the back of the tv, one plug socket in the room, windows that didn't lock properly, was an adjoining room, it had a very small bath which we couldn't use and for the fridge to work you had to keep the key card in a slot but the housekeeping kept removing it. The food was okay and a good range to choose from, the hotel was a good 20 minute walk to the town (we are in our late forties) but was quite an uphill hike on the way back. Puerto de la cruz is a lovely resort and has a good range of places to eat/ drink and attractions to visit, we'd stay here again but not this hotel.

We booked this holiday with Jetline Holidays ( more of that later) The Hotel is set in very attractive grounds and upon arrival the receptionist could not have been more helpful. We decided to upgrade from the basic room, purely because on comparison the upgraded room looked a little more homely. The food was superb, although we soon learnt to find a table before selecting our food. The restaurant becomes very busy at peak times. The service for my coeliac husband was second to none. The chef took care of him every evening, and presented him with a beautifully displayed plate of gluten free food. We loved the peace and quiet - no loud discos/ entertainment etc. Simple cookery displays and a fashion show were welcome. The English library looked fascinating, but sadly we missed limited opening times. We are very happy with our own company, but I would not recommend the hotel for gregarious party people. The hotel was full of Germans, who appeared to be on an all inclusive holiday, with a massage parlour only got their use, so no opportunity to engage with other holidaymakers. Beware of booking with Jetline. We had to pay 70 € to bring my husbands case home. The Tui rep. Said this is commonplace. I didn’t notice on the paperwork that only one 20kg case had been booked, although I asked for two! This keeps the price of the holiday down - and foolishly I had told the operator my budget on the phone.

+1
Like so many other reviewers I can say the gardens are lovely, lush and full of interesting and unusual blooms and fruits etc.
Accessibility is great in most places apart from reception which has 3 entrances -all with steps!
There is a good ramp from the pavement into the hotel grounds, an accommodation block with a lift, ramp access to the restaurant and best of all a ramp into to the newly refurbished pool. So apart from access to reception it is a very disabled friendly hotel.
Breakfast quality is typical hotel buffet style, with every combo of food you might imagine. It is busy and noisy though (I quite liked that and a good mix of nationalities too)
Overall the hotel in general is lovely, and has a quaint older style, only one building with 5 floors, the rest being 3 (counting the ground floor as 1)
The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and full 5*s to Daniel the waiter/barman and Moises the maintenance technician - thank you.
So if it's all so lovely why only 2 stars? Well my room was awful, charmless, drab, too hot, too noisy and depressing.
It was a single room on 5th floor next to a lift. With a window so high up I couldn't see out of it. It was rusted shut too. It felt like a prison cell.
There was one accessible socket (charge phone or plug in mozzie repeller) I later found an extension socket on the floor at the back of the desk/dressing table.
The light above bed was broken and constantly on. Meaning I spent the first night with a bright light overhead. The electrics as you can see from the photos are very old and dated. Moises fixed the light but could do nothing about the ineffective air con.
There was a small adapted bedside table at one side of the bed and a narrow gap at the other, where one could just about slide in to open the sliding wardrobe door. The wardrobe was so grotty I didn't want to use it (smelt foisty too)
The woodchip walls were patched up and grubby, paintwork scuffed and chipped. The bathroom was tiny with a shower over a hip bath.
No glasses were provided and no toothmug.
The air con. was abysmal and the room was very hot and stuffy.
In short there was not one shred of comfort, luxury or joy in the room.
My friend had the room next door which was also a single room. Her's was much bigger and had a full bath and bidet (same horrid little window though) and yet we both paid the same price.
I did mention the awfulness of the room to reception and got a shrug and a smile.
I've seen other reviews of this room and the mgt response seems to be a platitude about the deal with Tui and single accommodation and that one should ask to pay for an upgrade. My advice to the hotel would be to remove these horrid little rooms from service as they do the reputation of your hotel damage.

Dear Amanda, Thank you very much for sharing your feedback with us. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed our beautiful gardens and our great staff. We are very proud of all our team. We surely know they make a great job so our guests feel like home. We know the accesibility in the reception area is not good and we are working on it. On the contrary, we are very sorry to know that you had so many incidents in your room. We might could have offered you an upgrade to a better room, as we have different types of rooms. I am really sorry about that. We note all your comments to work on it. We do appreciate the time you have taken to write us, because this really helps us to be better. Our best regards. Pros
Lovely hotel
Rooms are so clean and spacious
Hotel staff were very kind and welcoming
Great big swimming pool
Clean swimming pool
Towels provided if needed
Great shuttle service into central shopping centre and pick up provided also
Taxis are cheap we got a taxi in the town centre up to the hotel and cost us €5/€6
The cleaners do a fantastic job of cleaning the rooms and that service was offered every day
Cons
Food is very continental , style ( more Spanish ,French , German style breakfast) beautiful food was always made but prefer a more wider variety especially for picky or plan eaters
Sun beds where not very clean due to the grass being patchy in some places ,
We didn’t mind ( it’s on a hill ) so might be a challenge for some people either get the shuttle or taxis if you don’t want to be walking as it’s on a steep hill
We noticed the last two nights there was 1/2 cockroaches that appeared up over the top of the door frame , the only come out at night , we had the doors closed into the rooms so it didn’t bother us to much ,
There is a lot of older people in general in north Tenerife , so definitely more older vibe which we really enjoyed the peace and laid back atmosphere
Overall we had a great first experience in Tenerife all the staff at San Antonio really made the experience enjoyable with there friendly and welcoming manner which is always such a great way to be .
You are abit away from the town so you will have to travel into the town if you wanted to try different bars and restaurants, but there is a fantastic local bar/restuants that does lovely food and cocktails it’s about 5 min walk form hotel Alberto’s bar ! Definitely recommend that also ! Amazing view and great food the owners / staff speak really good English which is helpful

We had a lovely big quiet and comfortable room here (with a bath) for a weeks holiday. Although the hotel is near a busy road the beautiful grounds were surprisingly quiet. It is up a hill and although we were happy to walk down to the seafront and restaurants and back up the (steep) hill other people would be put off by this. It was full of mainly elderly Germans and did feel slightly too old for us but we had a hire car and were out travelling most days. There were lots of choices for the buffet breakfast but it was very busy and did feel quite chaotic at times. I think quality and presentation could be a bit better.
There is a “English Library” in the grounds which is really amazing- google it if you are interested.
There was a car hire desk in the hotel and it was very quick and easy to organise a car and there was a little area across the road from the hotel to park.
They were extremely helpful when we realised my husband had left his camera in the car at about 10 pm the night before we were due to leave- at 0545 the next morning. The hotel receptionist contacted the hire company and someone went round to wherever the car was as it had been hired out again to retrieve the camera and bought it back to us. They deserve a mention and a big thank-you from us.

Bar staff are nice except Julio who is grumpy not sure if its because his english is bad or he just hates the british.
The guy who I met at reception when I arrived around 11pm was unfriendly, his english was bad and his instructions to my room was not clear so I ended up running around having the biggest autistic meltdown ever crying but then a bar staff member (not julio obvs) calmed me down and gave me better instructions.
The picnic bag they give you when you arrive late is vile sandwiches tasted bad.
Pool is great.
Room as soon as I found it was fine but wifi in the room sucks.
Food at the restaurant is amazing I highly reccommend paying all inclusive you get free food and drink but be warned gets busy.
If you want to visit nearby town to eat out you may need practise as I got lost first two times and coming back you have to walk up 4 steep hills.
Restaurant staff are always stressed out
Cleaners keep themselves to themselves but do a great job deserve higher pay than the other miserable lot.
Entertainment is meh more catered for the french and german.
Those O Club experience guys only seem to like the spanish and french guests.
Room had a fridge that kept your drinks icy and cold
Not a big hit with the 18 - 25s but old people dont bother me I as a 28 year old am like an old man already.
Hotel is miles away from everywhere and I got lost going out exploring to begin with so the first 5 days I was pretty much stuck at the hotel most of the time which sucked for me because I enjoy going out and about but if you like to stay in the same place then this place is for you if you can put up with not being very liked.
I would not reccommend this hotel personally but if you like to remain at the hotel then this place is for you. The staff are a bit grumpy about the brits but if you behave like a true gentleman or lady by not acting like an obnoxious drunk then after a week not all but some WILL start being a bit nicer to you just need to truly show that us brits can respect tenerife however, tui do us a favor, stop sending us brits here its clear we are not that welcome here.
However both the hotel was not a friendly place and I will not be returning.

Dear Mr. Cash, Thank you very much for your detailed review. It is very important for us to have our guest's feedback to make things better. I am really sorry to read that you felt unconfortable and had the impression of not being welcome, nothing can be further from the truth. We do care for all our guests, no matter their nationality. I would also like to thank you for the respect you have shown in elderly people, it is quite rare to read it, specially from young people. I hope you give the north another chance and visit us again. First impressions were good, which was the gardens & pool ....then we were given a very basic room, just bland white, like sleeping in a clinic. No tea facilities, we must of been given the cheap seats. The rooms were clean, air-con not too good, Breakfast fantastic buffet, Most of the guests were German, & we got the feeling that they were not very friendly to us when we made an effort to make a conversation. Location not really good, long walk to the sea and need a taxi back as it was a very steep climb, after an evening meal. Might try a different resort next time, as we like to chat with others, English not very popular, entertainment was average,

I wouldnt recommend this hotel!
The best part is the pool area, very pretty. I was travelling alone and allocated a room next door to 2 rooms housing guys on a bender! They would be up most of the night shouting and slamming doors. After speaking to them in the 2nd night, yet no peace again, I requested a room move. The new room was 1/3 of the size of the original, yet still no A/C. I was given a fan that only blew hot air around, very hot at night and hard to sleep. I was half board, I basically lived on Omelette and Cheese rolls. The food was a complete let down, tasteless/bland. They have the audacity to put a sign on entering the restaurant how much waste in kg and how many people that amount could feed. I suggest, if there is a lot of waste, its because people try most dishes but dont like any of them, so it goes to waste. Try spicing food up, try herbs, try improving your menus!
I had to pay a deposit of 30 euro to get a kettle. 10 euro deposit for a towel, when I tried to change my towel after 5 days out of 9, I was told it would be 1 euro for a fresh towel (really!?) I wasnt charged. During dinner a few evenings before I was due to leave, a staff member came to my table to ask my room number, I told her, she said you are half board, only water is included with dinner, not orange juice (which was half a wine glass and processed juice from a machine) she said I would have to sign for it and pay in reception, I handed her the glass and told her to take it back, she was embarrassed and laughed, she said no no, however, had little interest in how embarrassing that was for me.
Mr A Hernandez in reception is an especially rude man, as is a barman called Juellio, who was only friendly to Spanish guests and ignorant to other people. Entertainment is poor.
I was woken at 7.30 one morning, but a man banging away at a wooden frame so a crane was able to hoist something away, this was about 30 ft away from my room. (See Photos)
I have never stayed in a hotel where the pool didnt open till 11am and closed at 7pm. it was summer holidays, there were a lot of children, the weather was very hot, yet we had to wait till the lifeguard started work at 11am. They seem to forget people have paid a lot of money to holiday in the hotel.
When I booked, I asked for a ground floor room, as I dont do stairs very well. When I had to change rooms, I either had to climb 27 stairs, or go up a fairly steep slop. The hotel itself is far from anywhere, yets says a short walk to local town, no, thats not true, its quite a walk and uphill on the way back, so you are basically out of the way.
I was glad to go home!
I shall not be returning.
The management would be well advised to take some time to look at the furnishing. which I am positive, some of it is original from late 60's. It could be such a lovely place, if they update the rooms and the standard of food... Such a shame!

In the restaurant, it is beer and red, white, rose wine. I don’t know what you get from the bar, but I think there are restrictions.
