The Sol Costa Atlantis charms guests with its ideal location near the sea, shops, and restaurants, offering picturesque views and convenience. Despite receiving accolades for its cleanliness and festive atmosphere, with live music and a welcoming reception, some areas are perceived as needing a refresh. The service is generally praised for its friendliness, though the restaurant's pace sometimes tests guests' patience.
While the hotel's amenities are appreciated, visitors often feel nickel-and-dimed by the additional charges for the spa, safe, and parking. Room feedback suggests a need for modernization and better soundproofing, along with the inconvenient absence of kettles and fridges.

Hotel's Favorite
Where to start??? We decided to go Tenerife for my friends birthday and we booked a room in sol Costa Atlantis.. we did not know that our expectations would be exceed to the top. The hotel facilities, decoration, view, staff… everything contributed for us having one of the best holidays ever! The food was amazing, the location was perfect… the weather wasn’t great for the first 2 days but the sun came shining for us on the last 3 days of the holidays 😃
We would like to say a big thanks to Roxana (hotel receptionist) for making our experience even better. Such an asset to this hotel company, very friendly and helpful and made us feel at home. SHE NEEDS A RAISE 😆
Secondly, we would like to thank Isabel (from the restaurant) for taking such good care of us.. not only her, but most of the staff there were so amazing to us.
Thirdly, the cleaning team.. our room was always so clean and organised, new towels and bed sheets!
We are so grateful for this experience and this people. We are definitely going back and we totally recommend this hotel if anyone is interested in going to Puerto de la Cruz 🫶

Came for a short break with my partner through jet 2 good prices and jet 2 were a good company to fly with.
Overview.
This hotel is probably more suited to couples and not children or teens.
First impressions the hotel is beautiful and worthy of its 4*s very clean and staff were very accommodating. We stayed for 4 nights and half board which included breakfast and evening meal.
Room
We had a sea view room pre booked and it was worth it for the view amazing. I can not comment on the other rooms. Our room was spacious clean and well kept the bathroom was lovely with a huge shower toilet and bidet. We had a hair dryer as well . The rooms don’t provide kettles or drinks at all unless you pay extra but if you pop across the road you can get about 10 bottles of water for 4€ and cheap bottles of wine for 3€
The cleaners tend to do a lot of rooms late in the afternoon bear this in mind if you are not going out.
Food
Breakfast
Usual buffet choices cereal yoghurts fruit etc and hot options but the cooked food was Luke warm unfortunately but you can’t have it all. Coffee and drinks are fortunately included with breakfast even wine 🤷♀️
Dinner
There was different options and themes every night and we always found something to eat. We do think drinks should be included at dinner time as part of the package.
Average drinks prices for beer or wine were 4€ and 2€ for water 🤷♀️
Pool
The pool is climatized not heated so if it’s hot out side the pool will be warm.
It wasn’t freezing and quick to adapt to.
Most sunshine over the pool area is in the morning. There is a bar out side the pool area and you can drink and smoke by the pool if you choose to. The pool is extremely deep even at the shallow end so bear that in mind if you can’t swim.
Entertainment
Being out of season I wasn’t expecting much but there was live singers who were quite entertaining and appealed to the older crowd.
Bar drinks varied in price from 7 to 10€ for cocktails or Jack Daniels. Much cheaper if you go in to the town.
Things to do.
Trying to find entertainment or a lively bar for 30 somethings was difficult again more suited to the older generation but drink prices were good and we did find a few good bars a club and a few that played live music.
We found an amazing shisha bar called le duque it has a pool and a great chilled atmosphere and the best pinocolardas ever. Great for night time
There’s also a little cafe called tracks that serves coffee for only 1€.
We visited the famous loro parque if you walk down to the town you can get a free train so don’t be tricked in to paying for transfers entry is 38€ well worth it esp for the whale show.
Weather was fab esp for January with highs of 22.
Over all a great stay and nice and relaxed.
Beaches are small and very rocky but there is some beautiful black sand , the sea is rough so avoid if you want a beach holiday.

We recently just got back from our stay at Sol Costa Atlantis.
We were tired on arrival but were greeted by very friendly and helpful reception staff who checked us in. The upgrade we were offered was really good value at 15€ per night, as opposed to the usual 25€. I’m not sure if this offer applied regularly but we were extremely happy we took the opportunity.
The hotel is located about a 5 minute walk from the black sand beach, surrounded by bars and markets and has easy access to local villages, although if you’re wanting to go to La Paz your calves will be burning with the uphill walking!
The room had 2 balconies, with a perfect sea view to watch the sun go up and down over the mountains on the right hand side. The room was spacious, clean and had exactly what you needed for a weeks trip. The fridge was ideal for our water and snacks for the week, the safe was easy to operate and helped loads throughout the week too. The bathroom was spacious too.
Although the bed wasn’t my usual type of mattress I like (being slightly firmer), it still was really comfy with 2 pillows to help you sleep.
Friendly staff regularly came to clean the room as well as offering coffee and water top ups.
Breakfast has loads of options with a hot, cooked section.
Omelettes, fried eggs and crepes all cooked to order and sections for fruit, cooked meats, cheeses. The yogurt station and the muffins were a personal hit for us.
We read before coming to the hotel that the main hold back for the reviews were the staff. We never had any problems with the staff who were not overly attentive but definitely always had a smile on their face and happy to help. We didn’t manage to catch any names but both the lifeguards we had were always very helpful and attentive and one of the male breakfast staff was keen to chat about the local football in Tenerife and was keen to find out about the football team who’s shirt I wore to breakfast, which was nice.
All round very fun experience, we loved our time in Tenerife and the location of the hotel and the accommodation it provided definitely made it better.
Thank you Sol Costa Atlantis

We checked the Hotel's website before booking with Jet 2 holidays. The website doesn't make it clear that there is an extra charge to use the spa and it must be booked in advance and is only for 1.5 hrs each time. We found when we arrived there was no availability for that day which was frustrating after a long flight and travel time. We understood both from their website and from Jet 2 that the spa was available for guests but that treatments were extra. Unfortunately everything was extra! The spa was disappointing. We were't given a robe and only one towel so we had to walk back wet from the spa to the changing room which is one floor down. The water was lukewarm and there was no Jacuzzi. The sauna was tiny as well.
The gym was stuffy and tiny. It doesn't look like the photos. Three people using the gym made if feel cramped. Of the two treadmills, one was out of service. There was one yoga mat and it was tatty and dirty. The equipment was tired, old and didn't always work. There was only room for one person to do any stretching. The room was hot and stuffy- no air circulation and the air-con didn't work!
The room with the sea view was nice but it smelled like sewage in the bathroom and there was no extractor fan.
They wanted an extra 4 euros for each use of the safe in the room and there was no luggage stand. Luggage was put on the table or the chairs.
The only good bits were the location and the breakfast.
From talking with others at the pool who were also disappointed, they said there were far better places to stay in Tenerife. We will not be returning.
Buy bottled water for your room. You can't drink the tap water and there is no drinking water available in the lobby or bottled water in the room.

Dear guest, We regret that your stay with us didn't meet your expectations. Please let us inform you that on our Website, when looking Spa information, is indicated that the Spa is with charge, and on the brochures usually there are some notes which inform that some of the services may apply local charges. In addition, we would like to remind you that if you are interested on using the hydrothermal pool every day, we have at your disposal Xtra Rooms which includes that service daily. Also, a service like the safe is included on that rooms. Our fitness has wonderful views and it's thought to let our guests keep fit during their holidays with our cardiovascular machines. We regret that you consider it wasn't as expected. All your comments will be analyzed by the management with the main objective to offer our customers the best service. We hope you can give as another opportunity in a future stay in Tenerife and you can enjoy more your stay. Kind regards

We stayed at the Sol Costa Atlantis over the Christmas period in 2019. We had a room on the 6th floor with a seaview. It was wonderful. The Atlantic rollers didn't disappoint and it was great to sit on the balcony and watch the surfers doing their thing.
The room was spacious and clean and the lovely housekeeping ladies came in every day.
We were there with half board and the breakfast was great. Ample choice. Evening meals were good too, especially the Christmas Eve and Christmas Day meals. And to purchase drinks with your meals was quite reasonable.
The location of the hotel was ideal, the large expanse of Puerto de la Cruz was largely to the left of pool exit and you could walk for miles if you chose to. There were plenty of bars and restaurants around, all very friendly with lovely food on offer.
We were exceptionally lucky with the weather as it was probably 25 degrees most days. We were swimming in the pool on Christmas Eve!! They only problem with the pool, probably only during winter months, is that the sun goes behind the hotel, thereby putting the pool in the shade by about 2 in the afternoon.
One afternoon we spent at the spa pool (12 eu) each person, but well worth it. The view of Mount Teide was worth it alone!
All in all I would say we would definitely come back here and recommend to others

During our stay restrictions had recently changed which required all guests to provide a COVID certificate of vaccination or a negative test at check-in (this restriction applies to all bars and restaurants on the island if you wanted to sit inside). As you can imagine this causes check-in to be slower. The staff were very apologetic to guests waiting in line but if your a reasonable person you have to accept this is the new world we are living in. At least you have peace of mind the hotel guests are safer as we have all had to follow the same procedure. The hotel is complying to all restrictions in force and you are directed to follow all procedures including social distancing in queues, hand sanitizer available, masks to be worn and plastic throw away gloves used when serving yourself food at the buffet. An approximate time you would like to have breakfast and dinner must be provided so as to control the crowds. The hotel and rooms are very clean and throughout tastefully decorated. As a previous guest has written though there is no atmosphere in the hotel it’s all very quiet. We found the whole resort to be very quiet to be honest. The last thing I must mention is the hotel staff. They cannot do enough for you. We especially would like to show our appreciation and thanks to Maria (at reception) and Belinda (restaurant manager) these members of staff are outstanding extremely competent at their jobs and really made our holiday an enjoyable one. Thank you!!! A last tip is, you are allowed to settle your bill before hand and at checkout day drop your key into a post box. We had transportation waiting so this facility was welcomed. We enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Where do I start. Had high hopes for this hotel due to the amazing pictures, but was quickly disappointed after getting to our room. The beds are 2 single beds pushed together and they separate if you aren’t careful, so couples cannot sleep together. There are no complimentary items in the room such as a kettle, tea, sugar etc.
The view from the balcony was of a rubbish heap, I shall attach a picture.
There was a safe in the room which cost €4 per day, but you were only allowed to use it for the length of your stay. Huge scam and completely unnecessary. Safe should be free to use.
Drinks at breakfast are included with the meal but at dinner time, you are told off for drinking your own bottled water and must pay €2.50 for the hotels bottled water. 2 bottles of Budweiser came to around €9.
The facilities which are advertised with the hotel cost more money and are not included. An hour in the hot tub is €125. The indoor pool was closed which we were not informed about and most likely would’ve cost more to use and only for an hour.
The food was mediocre, some awful, some not so bad.
Just seemed as though everything we thought would’ve been included with our booking costs extra money and the whole hotel was just scamming us out of money.
Outdoor pool was freezing cold, we didn’t even use it.
To park in the hotel parking, it was another €15 PER DAY.
This hotel is ok if you are fine with forking out more money even after booking half board. Staff were fine, some rude, some ok.
Would I recommend, no. Will I return, no.

Dear Liv, We regret your experience didn't meet your expectations. Please, let us remind you that we have different room categories according to the view and the services they offer. Probably you would have enjoyed more your stay in a frontal sea view room, or in a Xtra Room Frontal Sea View which includes adicional facilities to make your stay more comfortable. Our team checks pool temperature at least 3 times a day and no incidents have been reported. It is between 24 and 26 degrees the whole year. There can be a misunderstanding with the information you mention about the Spa. It seems to be the price about one of the treatments. Unfortunately, the hydrothermal circuit is subject to restrictions by law due to Covid-19. This situation cam change at any time. We hope the situation in Tenerife improves soon and we can open it again. We will continue working hard to offer our guests nice experiences with us. Hope you can give us another opportunity to offer you an enjoyable stay. Kind regards

Stayed as a couple with a sea view room. The room was lovely with plenty of storage and space and cleaned daily with fresh towels when required. The room did not have any drinks making facilities which was a disappointment, although you could hire a kettle for extra, with no fridge, it seemed pointless.
The staff were very helpful and friendly.
We stayed on a B&B basis and heard horrifying stories regarding the evening meals (raw chicken and steak cooked together using the same tongs for handling both and often food being returned due to being undercooked).
Breakfast was plentiful but unless you had eggs or omelets cooked fresh the hot buffet was mostly lukewarm.
The pool was very clean and towels can be obtained via a ticket available from reception with no extra charge.
Vending machines are located on each floor with drinks and snacks but are extremely overpriced.

We are currently staying at this so called 4 stars hotel. We were surprised to found out how poor the rooms are. When you pay so much for a room you can expect at least fo get a coffee maker in the room, or a mini bar. But no. The room is absolutely empty. That wouldn't be an issue if we could lean on a helpful team here but no.... The hotel staff aren't willing to help with simple answers to questions about sights to see in the city. This is s shame. I wouldn't come back, nor recommend this hotel.
Thanks,
Rafi Refael

First of all this is a lovely hotel and I don’t agree with people who say it looks dated ! (It’s not)
Arrived and was greeted by fabulous reception staff !
Room was lovely well sized beautiful view bathroom and shower amazingly lovely loved the big head in shower . Air conditioning worked very well .
I think some rooms have drink facilities ours didn’t but I have a travel kettle anyway so felt prepared for that scenario!
Cleaners very polite and friendly! You have the option of room being cleaned everyday ! We prefer to not have this everyday as it’s not necessary to have clean towels everyday ! Even thou we declined with a snooze sign the cleaners always asked “ are you sure u don’t want room cleaned or anything you need “ they were amazing and worked hard and always friendly .
This hotel on the top floor has a spa and wow it was amazing ! Small fee for 1 and a half hour that includes towels flip flops sauna and steam room !
Lovely relaxing way to start the day .
Breakfast was lovely so much variety fruit cereal yogurt meat cheeses toast rolls cakes full English u name it they had it ! Including tea coffee and juices and sparkling alcohol I think !
The lifts worked very well all week no problem !
The only time we had a wait was weekend and I think it was quiet busy so understandable.
Pool facilities great really friendly life guards and a bistro for drinks and free pool towels when u used sunloungers.
Hotel is situated right in the middle of everything all u need is to be able to walk and choose where to go ! Would definitely recommend this hotel can’t fault it even saw a wedding over the balcony which was so cute !!

Yes there is a balcony and you can hang your towels out or hotel gives you new ones.
From what I can remember breakfast was 7-10:30 dinner was 6:30-10:30 They have a bar on the roof too which is nice and they have meals you can buy which are also really nice things for lunch.
