If you feel that you are too old to be in a restaurant and sing late at night, you can lie in the hotel and hear everything until about 24…. Staff at check-in nice and helpful. Breakfast could be bought for 8euro/adult. Perfect room with balcony

Budget price . Very clean rooms. Daily maid service and clean towels. Amazing rooftop views & pleasant little pools on rooftops. Best rooms are in the newer side of the Hotel overlooking the square. Brilliant for people watching. Have returned and would do so again.

Great location, rooms very clean, room 508 had great view overlooking the square. Staff friendly and helpful. Entrance a bit difficult to locate as not below the hotel name where you would expect it to be. We did find a couple of cockroaches inside kitchen draw but would not stop us returning as they can be expected in hot countries

The hotel is very old , it is definetly a budget hotel, we had a internal room , no balcony and one small window that you couldn't open because the extractor fan outlet from the hotel kitchen was directly opposite the window and the smell was disgusting . The heat in this room was horrendous leading to our 2 night stay of no sleep . My daughter's room was much better she had a lovely balcony and hers had been refurbished however they had cockroaches in there room and every morning woke up with drilling outside there room . All in all we wouldn't go back . It's a shame location wise 1010

Stayed here with my boyfriend from 6th march to the 13th march. We booked last minute and we weren't expecting much based on other 3* hotels abroad but we were not disappointed.
Lovely and clean hotel, friendly staff ect. Would of liked a kettle and a toaster in the room as standard but when we asked we were provided with them so that was good. Fantastic customer service.
Beds were comfy and rooms were cleaned everyday except sunday and we were given fresh towels each time the room was cleaned.
Basic kitchen but it was ok for us as it was so cheap to eat out and the quality of the food was extremely good.
Our balcony over looked the square and had really pretty views. We sat out on the balcony each night listening to the live music from the bar next door.
We never had a problem sleeping at all not even when the carnaval was on (that was a nice little unexpected bonus for us). The carnaval went on til the early hours with live bands and acts and an amazing procession through the streets.
2 pools on the roof that are AMAZING!! Definately made our holiday!
All in all a fantastic, relaxing holiday, location is perfect!!
We will be returning here again!!

I booked this hotel at an amazing price and TBH did not expect much.
I had been in staying in Puerto before in a more expensive hotel that was not nearly as good as this.
Yes, the hotel is old and the amenities are a little bit aged. BUT everything was squeaky clean.
The staff was incredibly kind and helpful - eben when I lost my key and was in a rush to get back into my room for a conference call. Amazingly, the hotel wifi was good enough to have a conference call with several people reviewing videos. That was a very nice bonus. It meant I did not have to use my data plan.
The location is unbeatable, right on Plaza del Charco and steps from the ocean. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast buffet which was very well rounded for a hotel in that price range.
Because I was there during covid lockdown, the streets were quiet after 10pm. So I did not need to be concerned about noise from the Plaza and party goers. I can imagine that during normal times, it could be quite noisy.
But will I stay here again? Definitely!!!

Lets just start by saying this is a budget Hotel (maybe 2 star i am not sure) and i will judge it on that.
I stayed at this hotel because it was very cheap, and available. We had struggled to find something in a busy time of year for the Island and had little choice but to stay here. I looked around and couldn't find many recent reviews so was a litlle worried of what we were going to find. The hotel isnt exactly new and has a few soft edges in the rooms where things are not exactly pristine. But i was quite impressed with it overall. Yes there were a few scuff marks on the walls and the furniture was a little bit old, but everything else was really good. To start with the room was clean, and was cleaned every day (excpet Sunday). Everything there worked. And the bed was comfortable. I have stayed in 5 star hotels and been more disappointed with the bed and pillow comfort. The hotel is also very quite. Not once did we hear doors slamming during night hours nor were there noisy neighbours above or to the side. It was like we were in the hotel by ourselves. Again excellent for us.
The self catering kitchen was a little limited on appliances to be honest A kettle would have been good as the elecctric hob rings took ages to boil water for Teas/coffees but if you are relaxed and not in a mad rush then you might find this OK. Im always impatient so was a bit peeved by this. Also a pop up toaster would be a nice idea for a self catering kitchen. We could use the combi microwave to toast (which we only realised it had this function on the pernultimate day) but a toaster would be better.
The only negative point, was not really the fault of the hotel but our room faced the square. And even though we were 6 floors up there was a horrible racket every night until just after midnight from a karaoke bar. We were playing games of trying to guess the song (yes the singers were so bad that it wasn't obvious). But when it come to sleep time i just happened to have a set of ear plugs which drowned the noise out :) So i would suggest that a room facing the front or opposite side to the main square would definatley be worth asking for.
I would recommend someone to stay here if they were after a bidget room that is clean and comfortable.
Useful?

The hotel was sold to us with a pool, breakfast and comfortable room. Upon our arrival (when we finally found the non existent entrance!) we were greeted by a miserable man on reception who obviously had better places he would like to be. He did not speak a word of English and demanded our confirmation and passports abruptly. We provided this and after a while gave us a key and pointed to the lift grunting. We went up in the lift and found our room ourselves. We walked into the room, which looked nothing like the pictures on the site. It says it was updated in 2005, whilst to us it was still stuck in the 1920s. The room was dark and had no private balcony as stated, as we could not even open the door. The pool in the picture was no where to be found, and no one could tell us where it was, one of them even said it wasn't open in the season! There were stains on the bedlinen, and the noise was absolutely horrendous. As we were opposite the restaurants the live music blared through the single paned windows. We tried to block the noise by putting towels in front of the gaps in the windows but nothing worked. I cannot explain how loud it was and we felt like we were far from a holiday. I made my way to reception to request to move rooms, again the language barrier meant I had to get Google translate up for him to understand. He said 'no' straight out and offered no alternative. I went to the local store and had to buy earplugs resigning myself to the fact we would have to stay the night. That night we booked another hotel, so that we could move in the morning, as the thought of staying more than 1 night was a nightmare.
In the morning we went to reception and the lady on reception was slightly more helpful, writing a note of which she stamped, stating we had only stayed 1 night out of the 5. We were so relieved to leave. Poor customer service, lack of facilities, and all round disappointing stay. Stay well clear.

On arrival the reception staff were arrogant ignorant and rude. They did not speak more than 3 words to us in the whole of our 2 week stay. To get to our room we had to walk through a very dark disused old reception area and several dark corridors. The rooms are very dated and desperately need updating. It's impossible to sleep before 3am due to the intolerable noise from the bars on the ground floor and adjoining the hotel. The bars when closing are banging tables and chairs and shutters and then start cleaning outside while laughing and shouting at each other. After that stopped along came the road cleaners with their noisy jetwashers followed by the binmen banging bins about. That was at 4am. Then peace. Oh but not for long. 7am the bars start to get ready to open for the day banging the shutters and tables and chairs again. The pool is on the roof and in disrepair. Due to its position it gets hardly any sun and the water is freezing. Also very small with only enough room for around 10 sunbeds. The rooms are stifling hot with no air-conditioning and you can't open the windows due to the noise outside. The food is absolutely disgusting and cold. We upgraded to half board and ate out everyday. All in all the hotel rooms and public areas are in need of a full refurb and the front of house staff need training in customer service and hospitality. I will never return to this hotel again and would advise future travellers that the bad reviews are all true.
