At c.60 sqm our room was large, comfortable and well equipped, including a kitchemette with refrigerator. Its only downside was some rather antiquated plumbing. The bar/cafe and restaurant were attractive, and the food in the restaurant excellent - and Jacinto, the Maitre D', engaging whilst also very effective. The location of the Hotel is ideal being in the World Heritage...

Best hotel in San Cristobal! location, staff and cleaning were excellent. The room went beyond expectation it was nearly a flat, well decorated and cosy. A plus is due to the internal spa and the many facilities. Highly reccommended

we got a very nice room with sunshine the whole day round and a small kitchen. Breakfast was ok and staff very helpful. The hotel is an historic building and close to the historic centre which is really an experience to visit.

Only stayed one night. Lovely room, lovely old hotel with character and old bar and restaurant. Nice change from modern hotels - not that the service was lacking, nor the state of the rooms was lacking. A delight to stop for one night in the historic centre of the island. Will definitely return. Parking easy, although in the centre, and...

The rooms inc a kitchenette, so quite spacious. The main building is lovely, our room was in an annexed with the spa, just across the courtyard. We found the bed was hard with only one bolster pillow and unfortunately the breakfast was poor due to being luke warm, not much choice compared to hotels we have stayed in Santa Cruz,...

We stayed for two nights only. We paid extra to upgrade to a suite, which was very elegant, spacious and comfortable - however the whirlpool bath did not work very well and there were minor problems with our shower. The main part of the hotel has lots of character, with beautiful floors and staircases. On the negative side, the breakfast was...

We found the hotel quite lovely-- great service from the front desk and a beautiful old restored building. If you go here, you're going for the character, it's convenience to the downtown historic area for dining and shopping, and the overall experience. I very much disagree from the previous reviewer who didn't have a great experience. But know, you're not...

I do not recommend this hotel. Staying there ruined the last 4 days of a 2 week holiday. It is described as 4 stars. I had a Noble room in the historic. It is described as a spa hotel but you can’t use the spa pool unless you part with 12 euros extra each day which I did not do....

Stayed at the Nivaria for 2 nights, great location. We could not have asked for anything more central, we were very happy. The staff were friendly, especially the man behind the bar during the evening. Food was great and room was spectacular, clean, well equipped- absolutely perfect. Only downfall would be the spa- lovely facilities but much smaller than it...

Spent two nights at the Laguna Nivaria while exploring the Teide park. Very happy with the location at the edge of old La Laguna, and found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Our very comfortable room was in the newer building, and away from any street noise in front of the older portion of the hotel. The food in...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Laguna Nivaria is situated in one of the most charming 16th century mansions of the city of La Laguna , the latter of which is proud to be the only world heritage city of the Canary Islands. With a total of 79 rooms, including 14 suites, all rooms are spacious, cosy, colonial style, Hotel Laguna Nivaria offers an elegant restaurant with an extensive menu for lunch and dinner along with a cafeteria and sun terrace. The hotel also has conference rooms for events, free internet point for guests, room service and all the necessary services to ensure a pleasant and comfortable stay. This hotel enjoys prime position on the town's emblematic main square. The rooms and apartments vary according to how much you want to pay, and range from pleasant to perfect. Dating from the 18th century, the building has retained many Canarian features. This is a beautiful traditional building; the former home of a marquis. The facade is washed in burnt sienna with wooden balconies and window frames. Beyond the beamed reception with its stone arches and stained glass there is a pretty central courtyard. There are two classes of room here and if you are ready to flash your cash, the superior is worth it. They are exquisitely done up with elegant furniture, leafy plants and earthy colours. The bathrooms are fashionably mosaic tiled. ... more   less
